The cornet player is the same as Alan was in the Cory Band I.E. The Principle Cornet Player. One had to be very good to be the Principle Cornet Player in a Brass Band as Alan was

I think you mean "principal" cornet. I agree it is very good playing but I prefer a slow melody
that takes real artistry!
