I love this. Ultrakill perfectly captured the "boomer shooter" feeling and spiced it up with so much personality. Good stuff, looking forward to Act 2 with Phil and Nik
Was a plenty fun stream and I'm glad you liked the game, it may have some crazy tec that takes a while to learn, but I wouldn't stress about it and just enjoy the game at your own pace. One more thing I'd like to share as well. Fun fact: certain gameplay elements and even the art direction have lore explanations, for instance you don't have to worry about ammo at all because the revolvers cylinder is actually an electric coil and you shoot straight electricity, while the shotgun shoots pure heat. Hakita even gave a reason as to why everything is low poly and pixelated, as your character, V1, was designed to use less visual fidelity to optimize other systems like reaction time. This adds nothing to the overarching story, but it is still a fun thing the dev did for their game.
The reason the pistol has infinite ammo is because it uses super small metal shavings that it accelerates to ludicrous speeds. And that includes its own, from the barrel of the pistol itself. It doesn't actually have infinite ammo, but it does *essentially* have infinite ammo. Additionally, it is implied the coin you can flick into the air is being produced from the traces of metal found in blood. Additionally additionally, the reason the sharpshooter ricochets like that, is because quite LITERALLY v1 spins the gun so fast that it adds enough velocity to the bullet to send it flying off the walls. ADDITIONALLY ADDITIONALLY, Upon using 2 to 3 "extra gun" power ups, you can spin the revolvers to take off like an actual helicopter.
So, few things you can do to improve: 1: theres a trick with the shotgun- swapping between variants cancels the "reload" animation 2: you can trick maurices into shooting your coins with their lasers for an instant kill, or hitting core ejects for a massive explosion (the malicious railgun variant can also cause core-nukes on demand) 3: certain levels have extra enemies beyond the kill counter, tied to secrets usually. Remember this when working on p-ranks

Glad to see more people enjoying Ultrakill! It really is a crazy fun game! There's a few tips on weapon tech I can give if you are interested to read them. DON'T READ IF YOU WANT TO EXPLORE IT YOURSELF. Part of the fun is discovering new tech yourself after all! Otherwise, heres a number of interesting ones off the top of my head Revolver: 1. The green revolver's coins can split into two shots if you hit it at a correct timing window. Either shoot it when the coin has a yellow flash (about 2/3 of a second after you throw it) or hit it after it's airbone for a while. 2. The red revolver's alt fire can destroy projectiles it hits. It's an easy way to insta kill maurice (the floating rock head guy). Just wait for them to shoot and immediately blow up the first projectile to knock the rest back into the head. Shotgun: 1. Rapidly switching between shotgun variants cancels their animation, allowing you to spam shotgun shots fast. It's DPS is very high and is good for bosses. You can combo it with parrying for more damage. 2. The blast from the green shotgun can knock back nearby projectiles. Time an explosion to knock back the maurice head's projectiles back into itself to insta kill it Rail cannon: 1. You already know it can hit coins, but do you know you can throw coins THROUGH enemies and shoot the coin through the enemy? This causes the shot that just went through the enemy to pierce it one more time, so two hits in a single shot. This is called rail coining and it can delete boss HP. Toss in more coins and the damage is even more disgusting. 2. The blue shotgun grenade can be shot with a red railcannon to make the largest explosion in the game, aka the nuke. Good for wiping entire groups of enemies There's so much complicated tech that there is no way to explain all of them. It's best to keep messing around with ideas and seeing what works. Happy shooting!
Not only is this game based, it is also goofy. Canonically speaking, the reason everyone in the room attacks you instead of each other is that V1 has a reputation for being the biggest threat in a given room, and eyeless enemies (e.g. Cerberus) can find V1 because its vibes are off. Speaking of vibes, did you know that the controller rumble support mod for this game is specifically built on a framework used for vibrators and is called "UKButt" and was marketed as the Ultrakill Sex Update?
There is one thing I dont understand when someone streams this game for the first time. There is allways someone who instantly spoils you about secrets like the 1-1 fountain or shotgun punching. Why do people like taking away the joy of figuring out things on your own?
The fountain is the worst one (it happened on almost every first-time stream I've seen), like it's a fun side gag to find on your own. But it totally messes up the pacing of the stream when they've never even played the actual level before.
I'll admit, it was my fault he learned the shotgun punch at 1:35:15 It just seemed like he just really didn't get it, he kept charging his shot instead of just firing, and he didn't seem like was gonna move on until he did. It's unfortunate that everyone just spoiled that feature as soon as he got the shotgun, but if it already got spoiled I saw no harm in just helping him along at that point.
Yeah the whole fountain coin thing was such a problem that I'm pretty sure in a recent update, 1-S was changed to drop you back at the beginning of 1-1 instead of the old "skipping you to 1-2, with a random nailgun sitting right in front of the door." You can see the confusion where chat was expecting the old behavior here. A good change, in my opinion. 1-1 is so important for introducing skulls, drones, and the nailgun, it's a bad level for a new player to miss. Also in my opinion, the projectile boosting was perfectly timed out. Chat tried to spoil it immediately (as they always do), but he didn’t get it and learned to use the shotgun normally for a good while. He learned the unique functions and benefits of both variants, and used them in mostly the appropriate situations. I think that's the perfect time to learn p-boosting. It's a crucial upgrade to your arsenal, like a better Core Eject grenade. It's like getting the Slab after you’ve already learned the standard revolver. Also because it's such a strange and unexpected mechanic to like 99% of new players, I think it HAS to be spoiled at some point. I introduced a friend to Ultrakill, and after an hour or so he said he wanted to like the shotgun more but it felt kinda lackluster. I said "oh baby I have a secret for you >:)"
@@clockwork_mind I actually saw a streamer a while ago (can't remember who it was) who somehow missed the chat backseat and eventually, while doing the typical punch + shoot combo a lot of newbies tend to use, got a projectile boost and went "Wait, what the fuck?", tried to reproduce it and _ascended_ when he realized what was going on. @@mixoops2212 mechanics shouldnt be a problem, im really glad you teached him that i was in pain every time he tried it, and he did say he wanted to get backseated
ok I know I said this in chat but I do want to post it here and more. 1. you can parry maurice lazer with the coin and same goes for other enemies. 2. when you shoot the coin when it visible flash and makes a twinkling noise, you can hit the gas tank on the back of the Streetcleaner, to one-shot them. 3. your parry's can heal you. 4. there a thing call coin stacking, by hitting your coin with your parry. you can keep hitting enemies and stacking DMG onto them, speedrunners been useding that to kill V2 really fast. 5. If you used your Malicious Railcannon on the Alternate Fire of the Core Eject Shotgun. you make something called "the nuke" it help clear out hordes of enemies. and 6. the coins can Splitshots if you see it visible flash and makes a twinkling noise. it can hit two enemies at ones, which means if you put out 4 coins and hear all of them makes a twinkling noise, you can hit 8 enemies at ones. There So much More in this game, what I told you is the tip of the iceberg.
Small correction on #2: as long as the coin is behind the Streetcleaner when you shoot it, you don't need the twinkle to get the instakill. It's still good to aim for that, though, because the shot will target the closest enemy, and if the area is more crowded a split shot gives you a higher chance to hit the Streetcleaner.
The reason the pistol has infinite ammo is because it uses super small metal shavings that it accelerates to ludicrous speeds. And that includes its own, from the barrel of the pistol itself. BEAUTIFUL stream, i had low hopes in the beginning and once i saw you discover advanced tech then i started going all in. I CANNOT wait what the ACT II stream will await you and chat.
Alright so a few quick things that I believe you'll find helpful: Violent is like Standard except enemies and their projectiles are a bit faster and a few extra enemies get enraged state (when they go red and wrrrrr), I really recommend you switch to it when going for the P ranks, makes the game even more fulfilling (and early stages less boring, you keep your guns btw) Green shotgun fires a bit faster than blue (and lets you charge lower accuracy double pellet shot) but fires like one less pellet than blue, for the purposes of Projectile Boosting it makes blue obsolete EXCEPT you can shoot the grande via revolver for a Big explosion or via red Raincannon for a *[[[[ BIG ]]]]* explosion. There are a bunch other cool things I want to tell you about but for now enjoy the game, the time shall come later.
If you want to parry your own shotgun bullets you need do this: LeftMouse+E(or f to punch)=Projectile boost And some more:if you gonna change your both shotguns while pressing a leftmouse you will skip a reload animation
its not even backseating lmao, 90% of the tech in this game you learn from outside sources being told you can do something is different from being told how to play tthe game
55:25 Id love a Lobotomy Corp stream, im instantly subscribing because of the possibility of you playing it Its a game with a thick amount of lore and the gameplay is honestly pretty challenging
V2: His revolver deals 10 damage, Charge deals 30. Shotgun deals 2 per pellet and core eject deals 25-35. He has 30% Damage resistance to the revolver. The bar beneath his health is his enrage meter. Stay away from him and he'll enrage which improves his tracking, has him prioritize using the charge shot and get as close to you as possible. You can parry his one of his three revolver shots and all his shotgun pellets. The sharpshooter will destroy all his shots and make them explode in his face. If you time it right, you can deplete half his health instantly. The whole point of the fight is to understand how your own kit works. If you know your own strengths and weaknesses, then you know V2's.
Im a really picky gamer, alotof games i play for few minutes then give up because i dont enjoy them But Ultrakill ? Is the first ever game that i didnt finish, because im enjoying the first levels so much, that i dont even want to play the next levels yet

WOHOO!
VROO!🐦
i i love how every time chat told him to parry his normal shotgun shoot he kept trying to parry the charged shotgun shot
A NEW HAND TOUCHES THE VAMPIRE PISTON
Hot
im glad to see phil having fun
I wasn’t planning on checking out Ultrakill until I saw that Phil was streaming it.
If Phil streams something then it means it’s G O O D
This was a really good pew pewgame
Love it
tbh ultrakill just keeps getting better and better in terms of levels, music, story, enemies, etc oml oml oml i love this game 2 death
watching the replay of this and silently yelling at chat for being so egregiously backseaty for the first few levels
ive noticed that thats a trend for first time ultrakill streams unfortunately
these devs who made this game are mentally insane, and also i cant wait for the *whiplash* and f i s h
1:28:30 "a break from the madness" has become the continuation of it
So now that you did UltraKill can we have a Doom stream?
The gane has in-built online backseating system.
Alright so a few quick things that I believe you'll find helpful:
Violent is like Standard except enemies and their projectiles are a bit faster and a few extra enemies get enraged state (when they go red and wrrrrr), I really recommend you switch to it when going for the P ranks, makes the game even more fulfilling (and early stages less boring, you keep your guns btw)
Green shotgun fires a bit faster than blue (and lets you charge lower accuracy double pellet shot) but fires like one less pellet than blue, for the purposes of Projectile Boosting it makes blue obsolete EXCEPT you can shoot the grande via revolver for a Big explosion or via red Raincannon for a *[[[[ BIG ]]]]* explosion.
There are a bunch other cool things I want to tell you about but for now enjoy the game, the time shall come later.
Loved the video Can't wait for the Act II stream. :D
in min 45:52 Graceful is doing a reference of Max0r HAHAHAHA!
40:31 the scariest words ever spoken
Babe wake up it's Ultrakilling time
i take psychic damage every time a new player unequips a weapon
If you want to parry your own shotgun bullets you need do this:
LeftMouse+E(or f to punch)=Projectile boost
And some more:if you gonna change your both shotguns while pressing a leftmouse you will skip a reload animation
gets gatekept by a single maurice
beats 2 maurices in seconds by accident
Me, loving ultrakill’s community while simultaneously hating ultrakill’s community:
if you P-rank act 1
you better prepare thyself for thy end in that moment will be a real JUDGEMENT
My gratitude upon thee for thy P-1 reference
Ultrakill is a f*ck around and find out game
I will not elaborate further
Lmaoooo what is this Shadow the Hedgehog-ass music in the pre-stream
Dmc music. I think the first was Devils never cry, the second was Devil trigger, from DMC V
i like how he got backseated multiple times about the projectile boost, yet he just didnt get it
its not even backseating lmao, 90% of the tech in this game you learn from outside sources
being told you can do something is different from being told how to play tthe game
55:25 Id love a Lobotomy Corp stream, im instantly subscribing because of the possibility of you playing it
Its a game with a thick amount of lore and the gameplay is honestly pretty challenging
THIS GAME IS SO GOOD I LOVE IT(REMEMBER TO CONSUME PRODUCT OR NO TOXIC SONA REVIEW PART 2)
My man just did a deadcoin on accident
1:06:23 oh, brother
Thats hilarious
Gongratulations! *Now suffer the wrath of the style-police*
1:41:21 __
I P ranked Minos prime first try while watching this happy days
Now that I got past the fleshprison, I understand why that is a flex. P-2 even more so XD
well done!!
1:44:51 Did the spectating friend become a pigeon?
3:37:54 "YOU HAVE F*CKING UNO!"
tomorrow will be a good day
I’m so sad I missed the stream, I’ve been waiting for him to play this for AWHILE
ultrakill is peak videogame
I hate being sick
I missed the whole stream!
This stream was so good! I sure hope someone with fomo doesn't read this comment and have an insatiable urge that I have only made stronger!
Fun news, if you're up for the challenge there are two secret levels, one of them can be found in 3-2. Good luck and remember, parrying is baller.
It's in 3-1, and he found the door during this stream.
@herozen2720 dang I messed it up, my b
@@SyedLabib it's all good
YYYEAHHHHH ULTRAKILL!!!
YEAHHHHHHHHH IT'S ULTRAKILLING TIME!!!!!!!!!
You can go at extreme speed if you jump at a wall and press ctrl + space wenn your sliding against a wall
With that coin fountain if your fast you can beat that level in under 2 secs my record is 1.417ses.
I can't wait until you get to prime soul
this was so fun to watch lmao
It was so painful watching Phil not understand what we ment by "Parry the Shotgun"
Probably because nobody specified that you Parry the Primary Fire, so he kept trying to Punch the Grenade XD
I would love to see him try playing Killing Room. Someone ask him!
WHY DIDN’T RUclips RECCOMEND ME THIS WTF
I have seen 3 people already who played this game and lost their basic locomotory functions and ability to speak while playing this game
Love the streams❤
