I always have issues installimg these and Elk masters. This is the cleaniest install I've seen on Techno's. May i ask, what liquid are you adding with the leather piece at first, then the liquid you add with paper towel at end? Thank you and great work!!!
Every time you hit that ferrule with sandpaper, you're reducing its diameter.

Is the cushion required on all tip replacements , just carbon fiber, low deflections or what?
You don't need a tip pad. I just left the old kamul clear pad on for looks. I don't think it effects the playability at all.

The liquid on the piece of leather is tiger burnishing liquid and I finish my tips with McDermott's wax compound
Also to get a clean finish I always use a new blade on these tips
