    I have this dryer and it's fab. I'm pleased to find out from your video that the bottom filter is so easy to maintain. As other past dryers gave needed the entire filtervto be removed and hosed down in the shower or sink. Great machine. I've noticed it's best to pause it , whereas I just stop it. But I'm happy with my machine.

    I like ours a lot. The main thing for our needs is to simply use the driest setting for cotton.
    We love that it has no vent to cause the laundry to go mouldy with condensation any more, & with this one, we can keep our house warm & shut all the doors with the water going down the drain instead.
    Takes a bit longer, so normally run it overnight using the timer so it doesn't matter, & we only use the drier when its rainy

Most of the time we use cupboard dry setting, it initially shows timer as 3 hrs but it often finishes within two hrs unless dryer is full with heavy clothes like jackets and tracksuits. I am very satisfied with the dryer.

I think that if you come from using an old machine that just spins and heats you need to understand that these new machines are all about NOT shrinking your favourite jumper. Hence they don't deliver hot garments like they used to. Thank you

    I have a similar model dryer (none condenser - vented) and washer, its been fine and works really well. The touch to start (its like a touch screen not a button) is quite tricky sometimes, i find my self trying a few times for it to recognise that i'm pressing it before it starts (got to get used to pressing it a specific way). If you don't have enough damp clothes in the dryer, in summer months it doesn't always stay on fully. The sensor knocks it off way before its dry like 2 minutes sometimes, so you'll need to add a time. Just my observations for far overall I'm very happy with them.

      Yes, probably as a subcontractor, Beko being Turkish. My older Bosch model without the LED display is Turkish-made. Bosch has six plants across Turkey and is expanding. Historically, Turkey has been a low wage producer of some German-owned brands, similar to how Hong Kong was to the UK and Mexico to the United States. Arguably, it's mis-selling, companies like Bosch making you believe you are buying German, but it'll be made cheaper, low-cost countries. Same with VW among others.

    • @lords-electrical

      Finished In is a time delay option. If you want to delay the programme finishing then select how many hours it is before you want the programme to end. This has the advantage that you can use Economy 7 for cheap electricity at night, or you if you are out you can get the machine to finish when you arrive back so the clothes are not sitting there hours after the machine has finished which can help to reduce creasing in your clothes.

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  3 года назад +1

      You will find that a heat pump dryer can take longer than a normal condenser dryer to dry the clothes. it can also depend on the ambient temperature that the dryer is in. If it is in a garage or outhouse, then it will take a lot longer to dry than if it is in a kitchen that is a lot warmer. Also make sure you are using a programme like Cupboard dry on the Cottons side, and not Iron dry, as it will end up drying them and leaving them a bit damp.

    Be bought a Bosch condenser dryer. Neither the auto off or timed functions work properly, no matter the heat setting. Bosch customer service has been extremely rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. We have also had issues with some other appliances from them. DOES NOT WORK. NO SUPPORT. AVOID!

  • @andyblandford7460
    @andyblandford7460 3 года назад +1

    As it takes approx 50% longer per load then surely the motor and bearings and pumps will fail sooner than a traditional dryer meaning that it will ware out and need replacing sooner, I suspect that the cost of premature failure would cancel out any financial savings made on electricity usage , also environmentally I suspect the energy used in producing the extra dryers required to compensate for the shorter life would use more energy than the design would save. Also it seems that the self clean system on this design of dryer (all makes not just Bosch) does not work very well which causes the length of time per dry to increase considerably over time making the problem worse. Also no one seems to mention that the ambient temperature the dryer operates in has a marked effect on drying time and efficiency, they need a minimum temp of 15 degrees to work so in winter no good in garage or unheated utility room. Think carefully before purchase !
    U

    • @lords-electrical
      @lords-electrical  3 года назад

      That is correct about the dryer in the ambient temperature and that is the same for any heat pump dryer, we do not normally recommend a heat pump dryer in an outside location. The first comment about the appliance failing sooner can also be correct which is why we sell so many Siemens heat pump dryers. They come with a 5 year warranty, so even if there should be a failure it will get fixed under the warranty. This way there is plenty of time to take advantage of the cheaper running cost.
      Great feedback though, thanks

      I guess its power rating is about a quarter the power rating of a standard dryer. The kWh per year figure takes that into account and that is around half. Heat pump dryers do not tend to get as warm as regular dryers which is why they take longer. Also they are safer as there is no hot element to cause fire

    These dryers (ours is a Serie 6) are crapola! They may be cheap to run, but they need to run for hours and hours and hours and still don’t get clothes dry. I’m certain that if you worked out how much power it actually needs to use, it would be no more efficient at best. Terrible move to buy this. It certainly means I will not be moving to heat pumps for my central heating and hot water and will buy a new gas unit before we are forced by law to go green. It is a racket, beware.
