The reason for the Robin Williams/Eddie Murphy confusion (I think) is because Robin Williams was in Flubber, while Eddie Murphy was in The Nutty Professor. Flubber was a remake of The Absent-Minded Professor (1961), and The Nutty Professor was a remake of the film of the same name from 1963. I can see how these would get mixed up.
