Is it AC charger or DC charger ? And can we get it another one except one with bike like one at office and one at home...
Home charging point’s both input and output are AC. The onboard circuit on scooter converts it to DC. However the new AtherDot charger has DC output. It helped to get rid of grounding issues and reduction in onboard circuit size for 450x.
You can get an extra one installed by paying extra. Better option is to to buy one portable charger as it will have more utility.

I think 100% people don't know the practical applications on grid .
Please understand what is the every day grid transmission , what is the actual traffic on the grid on peak hours and off peak hours .
How much electricity is required for water pumping applications , how much electricity is required for commercial purposes and industrial applications.
Like this if we consider each sector and it's peak and off peak hours total requirements.
What is the total power generation and distribution one should understand.
In India the per hour power generation is 317000 MW and in India there are minimum 100000 petrol pump outlets on pan India basis or in 28 states and 8 union territories and in India there are 230000000 vehicles running on roads and registered in RTO'S of India.
If we consider each one individual petrol pump or outlet with a minimum storage capacity of 20000 litres of diesel or petrol then each one litre will have only 3 kWh or units of energy stored.
So each petrol pump has 60000 kWh or units stored energy or 60 MW stored energy.
Total petrol pumps outlets are 100000 and each petrol pump has 60 MW stored energy then it will be 6000000 MW of energy supplied to these 23000000 vehicles running every day on the Indian roads so where is the energy or electricity to supply for these many vehicles.
If each vehicle battery is charged with in 35 seconds then where is the electricity generation.
How can grid function on this sudden imbalance and over balancing of the sudden requirements from various sectors.
Please understand this generation and distribution or transmission and where are the extra lines to take the extra load .

India is having 78000 petrol pumps outlets and are selling petrol and diesel and gas and each petrol pump has a 20000 litres of liquid per bunk and this is having 60 MW energy.
So India requirement is 5000000 MW of energy.
Please understand this ground realities.

If each vehicle gets minimum 5 kWh or 5 units charge then per hour India needs

In India there are 350000 busses and if each bus gets an investment of 1428 kw then 350000 busses should get 1428 kw investment per each one individual bus = 499800000 kwh electricity per every single charge so if we convert this into MW then 499800 MW per every charge .

For rest of the TRUCKS please think out of 100000000 trucks registered with Indian RTO from 28 states and 8 Union Territories.
Please think what best can be the real time situations.

What's the power consumption for a month for a normal commute in the city..?
One 0-100 charge UP takes a maximum of 3KWh as indicated in the video.
Per months, let's say 30 maximum charges. That's 90KWh. Multiply with cost per KWh. In Telangana it is close to 4 rupees. Monthly, for Hyderabadis, Ather 450 will consume 360 INR.
Guys, this too is reimbursed every quarter with Ather One subscription. I have received 1600 in 6 months. Official reimbursement per unit ₹6.5 for Bangalore and ₹4.5 for Chennai.
My last 3 months consumption was 115 units. ~1.5 units/day for 25 km of commute.

The overall cost is 1.25L.
Tenants in the apartment cannot make a hole on the parking wall to fix that charger hence cant buy EV. EV is not suitable for everyone
Yes, there are challenges. You can consider buying the ones with removable batteries.

I used 11,000 km and my battery is only 95% life was left in ather 450...while in Okinawa it was 83% approx.....I had ather 450 for 3 year's and it battery life was 88% after riding 33,000 now ather 450x....it's best that I'm saving 22,000 per year compared to my duke in petrol chargers.....total savings of about 65k in 3 year's......duke service will only cost me 8k to 12k per year while ather 450x is 6k and I spend about 2k to 3k.....I brought ather because of its speed.....TV's,hero honda doesn't have speed..... keeping my battery life.....3 year's and I have 88%....then i can use it for 7 year's.... within 6 year's I will recover the coat of bike......as petrol rate is up....now I need 32k for petrol itself and total 40k with maintenance for my duke(it's ktm racer).... savings of about 30k per year with my new 450x.....five years 1.5lakh savings as I keep 5% battery life per year....after 5 year's I will have 75% left.....as for now ather 450 has 88% left
That's y experience matters......the way u handle and way u use it. I made right choice....when telsa car comes I will buy and totally our family will save 1.2 lakh on petrol after we replace our car. As we r putting solar....we will save 3.5k electricity bill.... that's about 40k approx and as it's 5kw...we will earn about 10k to 25k by selling to bescom......we only keep bikes for 5 to 7 year's and sure that's enough to save

If you ask ather for a mounted charger while buying one, it will be paired only to your ather vehicle and no one except you would be able to charge using it

Hi Fareed, as of now Ather has launched in only Bangalore and Chennai. As per my interactions with Ather team by 2020 they are planning there presence in Hyderabad, Pune and Delhi.
If you still want to have this amazing piece of technology sooner, you can place a preorder with any of your friend’s and family member’s name in Bangalore. You need a local address proof for registration. It takes about 5-7 months for delivery (My wait time was 1 year).
You need to install the home charging point by yourself. I never felt a need of going to public charging point as my daily usage is ~30km. So the home charging should be sufficient. If required you can buy the portable charger as well.
Thanks now I can only wait for the time when this really happens in Hyderabad.
