This was a great tutorial! One of my kids broke that same handle and I was able to fix it myself after following your directions. Thank you! I will say, I did everything as instructed and the door handle would not open from the outside. It isn’t shown or mentioned in the video but there is a red plastic piece inside the door after you drop the lock down that once you put the lock back up in place to screw in needs to straddle a piece inside the door to make it function properly. It’s hard to explain but I could feel it in there and clicked that red plastic part to straddle part of the locking component. It worked after that.
super helpful. Few things of note, the hidden t30 has a piece of plastic holding it from falling. It won’t pop out, don’t try like I did. When you return the latch, make sure to line the red arm up with the lock mechanism, it can take patience. Video was a great help
thanks for this video =- need to replace mine. 2013 but I would belive its gonna be v close to the same procedures. What are you using for a skid plate setup?
Awesome job explaining in detail the tedious job this can be. Also great camera angles. I wonder if this is a 5th gen only type of steps? Or can this be used for other gens? Either way, great video👍
I always appreciate it when someone takes the time to make a good how-to video.

@@katrinawise5438 I didn’t have that in mine. Could have been a slight change by Toyota. But good to know.
Perfect demonstration video, thanks for the help lol. My kids did the same thing and broke my handle exactly where you said.
Thank you for making this!!! Very helpful 👏🏽

how about the front door handle with sensor?
I’m now confident enough to do it
What push bumper is that you have? Where did you purchase?
This was helpful thx bro
What are the part numbers for the replacement door handles you used?
Got mine changed, thanks. Now it won’t open from the outside…ugh. Nice 4R though.
How can I find the weather strip along the window, or what the name of it
Sorry that I’m not sure. Might want to go to your nearest Toyota service center and ask the parts department.
Thanks!
