Hi Edward…….. I wonder if you could do a small job for me on a gramophone that I bought a few months ago. I don’t know exactly which model it is, but it’s a Gilbert.
I think it sounds wonderful with its short lived (patented) sound box tone arm head that’s made with mother of Pearl and sealed.
But with this model, there is a small light that is powered by a battery, which comes on (I believe) when a record is playing, shinning onto the needle.
I was hoping that you could fix it to work, a new short piece of electrical wire maybe. ?
I bought 2 large (bicycle light size batteries) hoping that one of them might be ok to use. Different battery top connectors.
There is also an issue with the speed, if that could be adjusted.
Anyway, hoping you are all ok and enjoying your new house.
    Regards
    Steve Physick
