MOST UNDERRATED INSTRUCTION VIDEO. I was trying to figure out how to divide the channels on the mixer and other videos didn't explain it all. BIG THANKS MY GUY!
11:35 I've been searching for this little bit of information forever, seen many videos and this is the only one to explain this part as it needs to be. Almost gave up with the goxlr but now it's all fixed because of this one comment in the video. Thank You.
Thank you! OBS was only allowing me to have two audio sources and I was trying to set up each slider as an individual source because I couldn't figure out how to route it properly! Awesome tutorial, also the only one I could find about this exact topic lol
Glad I was able to be of help bro! Appreciate the support. Keep up the good work on your videos as well. Big E is always talking about you and I've watched a couple of your vids man! Good Stuff, Keep it going!
Thank you so much. I had each line added as a different audio device on OBS. Now its great that the stream hears exactly what I hear without me having to do loopholes.
Amazing video! I love how you go over everything and explain it thoroughly. You've just gained a sub and I'm going to leave a like on this video. 10/10!
For people looking at this later like me, there is a massive issue with this method. If you use copyrighted music and Twitch VOD's you will get your VOD's silenced but also you run the risk of getting banned because of copyright content claims. Theres a solution though, you need to split your audio sources up and remove just your music itself from the stream mix and manually control that volume in OBS because your slider on the GoXLR will only adjust your own volume. I'll probably do a video explaining it myself soon because its an annoying process.
Everything on mine is linked perfectly. The problem I have is in my headphones it’s perfect volume control and everything . Problem is none of the stuff you said helps to mute it to your stream. I followed all the steps and when I stream or record and turn somthing down with my knobs on go xlr it turns down in head phones but not in my stream. If that’s the case there is no point in even having a go xlr mini if it’s only gonna make changes to head phones and not in obs real time
I’m not sure what you made have done differently because I have mine setup the same way and whenever I make adjustments it makes it on stream as well through OBS
sorry to be so offtopic but does anybody know a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid forgot the password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
@Alvin Khari i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Not sure if you've tried this with the elgato, but I can't get the elgato sound to pick up on the goxlr. It was working fine one day then the next there was no sound but my chat could hear the gameplay. I'm using SLOBS
It a little tough to say because once the elgato is plugged in the audio comes directly through to the PC. Unless like one of the cables are defective. Also check your audio settings on the Go XLR and SLOBS are correctly placed. Some times there are instances where things can reset or switch from the correct audio source. But their are many factors that can come into play here so try to play around with the settings!
great video, i have one question, i set everything up while i was on a call on discord, and the mic setting in obs didnt catch any of the noise from the people in call, playing a game or watching a video, how do you set that up?
You have to make sure that your go XLR is connected to a usb 2.0 port on your computer and not a 3.0 port because then if will constantly cut out audio when you’re playing games and chatting with friends
I used the Broadcast Sream Mix as you mentioned here and in OBS when I hit "Start Recording" to test out everything, everything starts to crackle. Any fix?
Amazing video thanks for the help I still have a little problem how ever, I have no mic audio going though the system of goxlr yet, I don't have the cord for it. Any ides on how I can get a cord to hook it up?
You need either a 3.5mm jack connection for the mic or a XLR connection for a XLR Microphone. You can pretty much get it at any tech store Best Buy, Micro Center, etc
Great video bro. I may have to go back and look at your video again just in case u covered this & I missed it, but I have 2 issues that I need addressed. I use a wired headset so do I keep that plugged into my pc as normal or do I plug it into the headset jack on the GoXLR? Second question is regarding my USB wired speakers. Sometimes I listen to audio through my speakers so whn I get ready to do that can I just switch the audio on the computer to my speakers like I normally do or is there something different I will have to do?
TO answer your Speaker question you just need to change the source to your speakers by clicking on the volume slider near the clock on your desktop . I use speakers for some things and do the exact same thing. Just switch back to the TC-System when gaming /streaming with Head set on
Is there any way to have OBS sync the audio with the faders on my GoXLR? For example I want to separate my music from my game and discord and when I move the slider for my music all the way down I want it to mute in stream as well
Hiii! Thanks for the video, quick question, what if instead 1 only source in OBS, you wanna separate music source, and chat source, so you can disable Discord and spotify for your stream only? Like i do with voicemeeter, i have everything separated, discord, system, spotify, can i get rid of voicemeeter and do that with the goxlr?
That’s an entire work around because of the fact that the elgato is wave it’s self has a software almost identical to the go XLR built in so I’ma see if I do a video on it. If I can get my hands on one!
I’m having two issues. I have assigned my iTunes to the “music” control but it doesn’t route. Also, I don’t have “broadcast mix” as an option. Any suggestions?
windows sometimes glitches and you have to restart the go XLR app and iTunes in order for it to register. Its a windows software flaw nothing wrong with the GO XLR. But the Broadcast Stream Mix option is only for streaming so like in OBS etc
I'm trying to record my podcast in a DAWS like Audacity, Reaper, or Acid Pro. Can I hook up my phone to GoXLR and record phone calls using my dynamic mic also? I'm new to this. Thanks in advance
If you are trying to grab the audio from your phone, you’ll be fine as long as you connect a 3.5 jacks cable from your phone in the line in, in the back of your mixer.
Things giving me headaches…. Thanks for the video but I need help haha. When I’m in goxlr app and monitoring my voice it’s loud. When I go to obs and make a recording my voice is SUPER quiet. I can’t figure out why.
How do you take the music out of your vod later on twitch? If the music is going through one track and can’t be manually unselected in obs settings so it doesn’t show up? Any advice. A lot of people still listen to copy right music on twitch stream but are able to diselect because they make two tracks. I can’t make two tracks because if I don’t have it on broadcast stream it won’t turn down in stream real time using goxlr knobs. So I’m stuck with broadcast stream and constantly being muted by twitch.
@@sygnosa the first thing i checked was the routing and absolute volumes. Turns out its the mix device needing to be reset by disabling and re enablign no issues on that front since. Now my issue is the broadcast mix is half the volume of the individual devices. For example my music individual device on goxlr is really loud on obs like it should be at max, but with the same volume settings i add the broadcast mix and its so much lower in volume probably half.

Hey man, this was a great video! Was just wondering if there was any way to be able to separate the music and broadcast stream tracks in OBS so my VOD does not pick up music. While also retaining the GOXLR fader for music. Basically when I set up my separate tracks (One for stream and music) and my VOD track (for removing music from my VOD's to prevent a DMCA claim. I cant use the GOXLR fader to control music volume that now has to be done through OBS. Is there any way to get around this?
Once you separate the tracks and aren’t using the go xlrs broadcast stream mix you automatically free up those controls to obs and the go xlr pretty much just routes the audio

I have a question about the goxlr and my pc warzone game audio. Everytime im on stream my game audio overtakes my mic audio. Ive tried everything but no solution. If im on a game everyone says they cant hear me until the game is over and then my mic goes to normal. Any way u can help?
I would love to help ! Did you make sure that your windows sound settings are properly configured? And you always wanna pay attention to the routing tab on the go xlr software to see where you’re routing your audio. You wanna make sure that your mic and game audio are separate and not merging
Get an aux cord (3.5mm to 3.5m, I recommend one that is L shaped on at least one side), plug one end into the headphone port of your goxlr (L end imo), and the other end into the Line In of your PC. Go to sound settings in control panel and then Line In properties, Listen, and select your wireless headset. It's a routing for it. I have no latency.
Im having a problem where everything works completely fine when OBS or Streamlabs is closed, and then as soon as I open OBS, my desktop audio and music and discord audio starts cutting in and out. this messaged is copied but im having the same problem so hoping you could answer
Make sure that your audio settings and Preferences are adjusted properly in your windows settings not only in the GO XLR app. Its important because if not your computer won't route the audio to where its supposed t and it can cause issues like that
So I'm having the issue where the audio is cutting out completely with OBS open, it randomly will come back for 1 sec then go away. Once i close OBS V28.0.1 all audio comes back and works normally
Please update if you find a solution, having the same issue, Spotify plays fine through goxlr til opening obs, same for RUclips in browser+obs, etc. Tho changing output in windows system volume to other audio devices like my monitor doesn't have the stuttering/choppiness
I can see if I can work up a video for you around the Astro mix amo specifically with obs. Those settings in this video only apply if you’re utilizing a go xlr mini
i tried doing all of this but whenever i talk in game like valorant for example, people in game can hear my discord call and everything :\ any tips to fix this???
dudeeeee, i have chat enabled in broadcast stream mix so my stream can hear my teammates in cod, i play on pc with ps4 controller i have a usb pedal that i use for push to talk. EVERYTIME I PRESS IT DOWN TO TALK MY TEAMTES HEAR THEMSELVES ECHOING???? ANY HELP PLEASE if i unclick chat in that row the stream cant hear my teammates but the echoing goes away
Hey sorry that you’ve had to deal with this issue, ruclips.net/video/1M-LNw6rYm0/видео.html here’s a link to one of my other videos where I cover the in depths of setting everything up! Hope that helps! And this is also a different video but check the first link out first: ruclips.net/video/YHCtoe8Ke1Y/видео.html
If broadcast mix is default source my guess is cod is using that as your default mic which means your entire stream is being sent when you talk in cod if you switch your mic in setting to chat mic will fix that issue
I have the full goxlr and couldnt figure why I the mute to stream voice chat or music, it would keep playing on live!! thanks a lot :D I have the same mic but with a full goxlr
Make sure that your routing settings are correct on the go xlr software and also that the tab option on what you have each slider set to has the correct settings. Like when you for example put the first slider to mic right next to it is says mute to stream mute to voice chat etc make sure that’s correct

I had the same problem. To fix it I opened GOXLR -> go to routing tab -> under system make sure to check the "Broadcast Stream Mix". This fixed my issue, hope this helps
Yes follow what FC_Outlaw recommended you do, a lot of people do all the audio steps and fix everything up but forget to fix the settings with broadcast stream mix. Remember that broadcast stream mix is what sends the output with all your audio sources combined as one. Hope this helps, if you have more question ask away or hop in the discord server and I can help you from there.
No you cannot, In game chat will be mixed together with game audio. Unless the game has a setting that allows you to place each audio source on a separate channel!

@@sygnosa meaning not merging on the same broadcast stream mix on the go xlr routing table?
How do you lower the audio for your ears but keep the volume max for the audience? (They can always lower it on their computer)
You have to lower your headphones in the "MIXER" tab
Ive been trying to get my hyperxcloud 2s to work with the go xlr and i just dont have an awnser lol
had the same issue, you need a headset with a wire, or a few items to make it work, saw a video a few months ago explaining this.
Tho changing output in windows system volume to other audio devices like my monitor doesn't have the stuttering/choppiness
does this work for the Astro Mixamp as well? I can not find any help videos for that.
Are you asking if the go xlr works with the Astro mix amp or the settings?
@@sygnosa the settings, it's hard to find setup videos for the astro mixamp
ANY HELP PLEASE if i unclick chat in that row the stream cant hear my teammates
but the echoing goes away
Hey sorry that you’ve had to deal with this issue, ruclips.net/video/1M-LNw6rYm0/видео.html here’s a link to one of my other videos where I cover the in depths of setting everything up! Hope that helps! And this is also a different video but check the first link out first: ruclips.net/video/YHCtoe8Ke1Y/видео.html
If broadcast mix is default source my guess is cod is using that as your default mic which means your entire stream is being sent when you talk in cod if you switch your mic in setting to chat mic will fix that issue
Yes you have to keep your chat settings in game to chat mic and not broadcast or it’s gonna echo!
@@sygnosa yep the video helped me with that! One thing I dont understand is why the samples I record with youtube dont play loud on discord. Its not a goxlr mini feature but maybe you know
There I’m not too sure could be the output to discord either on the go xlr app or on discord itself
for some reason when i do it my mic is very low and i adjust the audio on the goxlr but it doesnt change anything
So your mic is low in every application, specify a little more so I can better assist you!
@@sygnosa it’s just mainly on obs
DId you make sure that your audio settings on OBS are good, and that the audio meter for your mic is maxed out on OBS
@@sygnosa i fixed it thank you
I’m glad you were able to get that problem fixed!
Im having a problem where everything works completely fine when OBS or Streamlabs is closed, and then as soon as I open OBS, my desktop audio and music and discord audio starts cutting in and out.... any help would be appreciated
having the same exact problem and it started like 2 months ago. Have you figured this problem out yet??
@@TheOffDutyDad I think it has to deal with the PCIE gen settings in the BIOS. I switched it from the newer gen which is gen 3 back to gen 2.
I tried looking into the issue and never found anything related to the issue. Honestly hope you were able to find a solution
@@sygnosa I ended up changing the PCIE Gen 4 to Gen 3 and it fixed the problem
I followed every step and I still don't get any output from anything except my mic
BEST EXPLAINATION OUT THERE!!!!!!!!
Thank you for the support, appreciate it!
Спасибо братишка! Очень помог!
great video
Can i isolate my pc game chat from warzone without having to use discord?
No you cannot, In game chat will be mixed together with game audio. Unless the game has a setting that allows you to place each audio source on a separate channel!
@@sygnosa I figured it out how but my team wont be able to hear me. but I can isolate the game audio and the chat audio.
Yeah, honestly the easiest way that I found for me is using discord. But I know not everyone likes to use discord!
chiefs for life baby haha great vid
Thank you for all the support!
ok but then how I use voicemod?
this video didn't help at all how do you get the sound to stop playing through the mic/aux bar
Make sure your routing settings on the routing table are correct and also the settings on your computers sound panel

Just what I was looking for! I've subscribed, hope others will too!
but to game you have to turn on the desktop input obs or you get no game sound.. or atleast im not getting any games sound..am I right or wrong?
You don’t need to have use obs to get any game sound at all, what are you referring to?
