Country Boy knew he was building in a flood zone. Before he finished building this house, it had flooded, and yet he continued to build and plant his garden. God had nothing to do with this misfortune. We as humans have the ability to discern when something is dangerous. He has lived here all of his life, and he knows this river floods. However, it is a good storyline for a video to show how one can overcome adversity.

This story drama TITLE should not called Country Boy...he is not look a boy. He is a man, maybe age 35 or more. It should be called "Alone Man". What I had watched so far..his life ruin everytime he did something good. He should stand strong, fight for what he had done. Find good place and build his lengacy there. I lived in Thailand and South Vietnam. I knew it was going to flood there when, in the first video at this location, I saw how fast the stream was moving.
People build houses on elevated platforms or stilts in places like this because there is a monsoon season, several types of poisonous snakes, millipedes, pests on steroids, etc. I lived in houses like that.
For someone native to that area to not take this into account and build accordingly is not believable. These videos are interesting because of the craftsmanship and ingenuity of the "old man" but strain my belief that the content is sincere. That being said, this is probably not a viable location for farming without building either some elevated fields or dykes to divert water from the growing beds. Even in flood, it does not appear that the water gets very high, though.

This old man needs to go home to his son. Nobody is saying he can’t go visiting, but he needs to tell his son before he leave. That is respect. Maybe that was the reason why the son’s wife put him out. The son needs to move on with his life , make chicken and ducks coop, plant more vegetables so he can eat and sell some of it.
