dev.raulete.com/2013/11/how-to...
00:00 - Download Mavericks Installer from App Store. I've already downloaded the installer at the beginning of the process.
00:50 - Convert Installer to ISO file (gist.github.com/raultm/7422237)
04:00 - Create new Machine in VirtualBox
05:03 - Run the machine after all the configuration
07:41 - Start the Mavericks installer
08:10 - Use Disk Utility to format the drive
08:45 - Install OS in the formated Drive
11:06 - Configure your options before start
13:30 - Clean install - Наука
Full screen requires use of the unibeast tool, you specify the resolution in the custom installer. After the install is complete you need to use vboxmodify in the command line. Google can explain it in more depth.
Thank You. It work.
my machine stuck at the message "hfs: mounted OS X Base System on device root_device". Any solutions?
I'm on 32bit with 2gb of ram. However, my processor is 64-bit which means (according to the v box manual) I can runx64 based os's. I may or may not get a mac with 4gb ram so I can do this ( but then again, why when I can just upgrade the mac to mavericks unless it already has if?
I have install mac Mavericks on VB but wifi is not working. Please help me. Thank in advance.
i was able to create the .iso of the installer successfully and then copied the iso over to my pc running Ubuntu 13.10 with virtualbox 4.3.6 installed on it and i set it up exactly how you did and booted it up and it ran through the console but then got stuck on the line saying "hfs: mounted OS X Base System on device root_device". it just woln't pass that point. Does anybody have any advice ive been trying to somehow get OS X on my computer ever since i got it. And if it makes a difference, my computer has and intel i3 clocked at 3.6GHz and 8GB of DDR3 ram.
Alexandros Karypidis did you guys make it beyond "hfs: mounted...." ? got the same here :(
This worked for me: www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/294504-virtualbox-sllml-and-core-i7-hasweel/?p=1975352
VBoxManage modifyvm --cpuidset 1 000206a7 02100800 1fbae3bf bfebfbff

Can work with virtualbox on Windows 7?
I don't know. But legally I don't think so. In Terms&Conditions they say you can run OSX only in Apple machines.
No , because he first downloaded the app from the app store and the he converted the app in to a iso file sooo windows doesnt have app store
Aryan Kumar GENIUS! No but seriously, if you get the hands on that iso file I don't see why it wouldn't work?
There are ways to do it. Using Hackboot and an iso of osx 10.8 (Mountain Lion) I made a virtual OSX on win. 7 >:3 SO SWEGG!!
Ted Pearce So, From there you could download/install maverick on it. There is one avaliable OSX 10.9 (Maverick) On the site i got 10.8 on. Go here for instructions lifehacker.com/i-have-actually-installed-ml-in-virtualbox-using-the-va-465569594
Ugh I can't get past the black screen. It goes to the end where yours does but I just get the rainbow wheel and nothing happens.
Were you able to fix this? I'm getting the same thing and I've tried three different tutorials found online.
I just figured it out... the installer doesn't like more then 3.5 GB of RAM. Scale down the amount of RAM you allocated to the guest.
Alain Tremblay Thanks for share!
Alain Tremblay Hi Alain, did you installed Mavericks successfully?
I got the same Booting Problem, the nice rainbow circle all the time. I was turning the RAM down till 2 GB still not working. Can someone help please?
Edit: Im using Windows 7, Intel Core i7, 6Gbs of Ram Samsung Pro SSD 120GB, and an Intel + Gforce GT 540M GPU Maxbe its just working on an Mac System. In this case it would be interesting to install all the stuff on Mac OS X and export the VM Data to an Windows System...but i don´t think its possible, because the VM is working working very different on the the two Systems.
Hi Alexander Braun, It's normal that you can't install an OS Guest on a Windows Host as non Apple hardware is not supported see: www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch03.html#intro-macosxguests
In order to run OS X virtually, you'll need an OS X host unless you find a hacked version of the installer. I know some versions of Snow Leopard can be easily downloaded, are already hacked and ready to be installed, you'll just need to search for them. I don't know of any newer versions of OS X but anything is possible.
Cheers,
Alain
It didn't work on my box even I set as 2GB
you will need like 20 gb
Rage-Quitter Studios I assigned 250GB vd. The problem is that it sticks in black screen
is the video memory set to 128MB
Rage-Quitter Studios
I did. I still freeze at black screen.
What version of VirtualBox are you using?
I had problems with 4.2 and finally I downloaded 4.3.
