I picked up a Zulu pack after your review a while back. I went with the 35L instead of the 30L. Great day pack so thanks for that. A smaller pack would be good for my shorter hikes so I may give this a shot as well. Thanks.
How does it handle weight? I have a shoulder injury and hike were it's hot, I carry a lot of water and bug spray, and I like to carry spare shoes sometimes. I like to be able to shift some of the weight to my hips. Everyone raves about the ospreys but the ones I've tried were saggy and floppy and aggravated my shoulder. I currently use a couple of smaller camelbaks but would like a slightly larger pack and one that has side pouches.
Depending on the weight you may want to go up to the Zulu series as they are a full framed pack. This pack has no frame and is more depended on the weight on your shoulders.
I like this review, I have noticed that you weren't carrying the Green pack, this one looks really cool for shorter hikes and more ventilation. Take care.
Very comprehensive review - thanks!
Thank you!

Yeah for shorter hikes this bag is perfect.
Nice Pack. I keep forgetting to get a bug net.
I've only had to use it once.
