I think it helps that he knows her but don't know the details that well and wants to find out as much as the audience might. With some of his old buddies he knows the whole story already and try to guide the conversation a little that's when people mention about Steve cutting in a bit much. I thiNk this is one of the best yet. Really enjoyable

Dogs will pick their owners. I found my dog on a farm just down the road from me. When I went to look at a couple of litters it was dinner time and all the puppies were running towards their food but my dog just started running to me and whined at the fence for me to pick her up, so she picked me. That litter was only 6 weeks old so I had to go back 2 weeks later to pick her up. She was the best dog, super smart and very intuitive. She was 15 when she died last year and I still miss her. When you stay in the house for periods of time due to health issues, you tend to be close to your dog. I'm not sure I should get another dog.

But when you have a list of questions that you want to ask someone, it then becomes an interview. Also if the guest is that uncomfortable with the concept of an interview, then they probably won’t be a very good guest anyways.
