I've heard faces are important on thumbnails and this is proof in the pudding! It felt great to see all my makeup in one place...but a little embarassing how MUCH I have LOL. I found that city lips was very disappointing, It seemed to be an overpriced sticky lip gloss that in my experience didn't live up to any of the claims and hype. Even and BOGO I was so unhappy that I'd taken a chance on it.
So organized! I bet it feels good. I purchased an over the door organizer with full length mirror and hang it on my closet door - it holds a lot - jewelry, makeup, hair products. Life (and space) saver.

Such a useful video, not least because I can see how you store your makeup! Needless to say we have many of the same faves, including the Hourglass blushes and the Merit bronzer. I love the look of the Westman Atelier blush. My Merit Cheeky is also well worn now - so easy to apply and wear.Have you considered giving RMS a try? I haven't bitten the bullet yet but am thinking about it!

Really been enjoying your content as I am overhauling all my products to accommodate drier, more wrinkled skin. Curious of your opinion on the comparison between the PF Butter Concealer and the Lancome Teint Idole Wear Care and Glow Serum Concealer. That's the Lancome formula I've been using and the PF sounds similar.
I haven’t tried the care and glow. But the PF is slightly more moisturizing and radiant than the Lancôme teinte Idol ultra wear.

You’ve been a fan of Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder for a long time. I’d previously made a note that you use shade Diffuse Light and was going to buy it. But on this episode you are linking to Ambient Lighting Infinity Powder (which I can’t find on the Sephora site but only at Ulta). These appear to be two different products. Which one do you use or recommend? Thanks.
Thank you for letting me know I linked the wrong product! I have never tried the Infinity Powder and intended to link the Ambient Lighting Powder. (I should try the Infinity though)
Anyway, I corrected everything. In the actual Description Box below the video and in the pinned comment I linked a Mini from Sephora and a full size from Ulta (Ulta doesn't carry the mini). In the youtube shopping button I linked a mini and a 3 shade palette (couldn't find the full size in YT). I first tried it in a mini in both Diffused Light and Dim Light and used them both completely up so purchased the full size. They are basically transluscent and I really couldn't tell the difference on my skin but when purchasing the full size chose the Diffused Light.

Thank you so much! The drawer organizers are just random ones I picked up at home goods. I use the lighter Pixi shade called brightening Peach.
Hi Tamara, I would like to see a demo on the Merit cream to powder shadows. My concern is that while applying the product it would pull too much on my loose crapy lids. How do you feel about applying concealer on the lids to create an even-toned eye area before applying shadow? Although I am getting more into dedicated eyeshadow primers...I often use concealer to "prime" my eyelids prior to powder shadow...mostly to neutralize the discoloration. I find that the more satin or even matte concealers work better than hydrating radiant ones. Lancome Teint Idole works quite well on the lids. As far the Merit Solo Eyeshadow...my favorite way to apply is with the Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush. it is somewhat flat yet still fluffy so it doesn't pull on my skin. I did a full face of Merit Beauty in the video I am linking here but at some time will do a little more of a detailed demo of the eyeshadow. Lovely collection! I admire your discipline and organization! I have way too much stuff and not enough space to keep it well organized. I think I need a sturdy chest of drawers, but don’t want to spend too much on it. On the other hand, I’m afraid cheap units won’t last or have smooth drawers….
What a great idea. I don’t have as many products so they all fit in one drawer, and organized by category, but I need to mix up what I use more often. Like, I have a ton of blush but seldom use my high end brands. I think I neglect the high end because they are an investment and don’t want to run through it too fast? But then, if I don’t use them and they expire, I will be unhappy with myself for wasting it. Human nature, right?

I noticed you didn’t mention contour? Or do you bother with that?
I don't contour. As I get older my face is gradually losing volume so nature is contouring for me LOL. I will use bronzer sometimes just to add a touch of warmth to my face, mostly in the summer.

I was very disappointed in the city beauty mascara. I used it twice and the flaking was awful. I ordered after so many RUclipsrs said how great it was. I waited too long to send it back unfortunately.

Having a hard time with the ritual foundation. Showing a lot of texture. Do you use a primer before applying ?? If so which one? I did hear you on video where you do combine it with hourglass. I really don’t want to have to buy another product so just wondering when you use it alone do you wear a primer ?? Loved this video.

Sorry to hear that! I don't use a primer first. I apply in light layers. I mix 2 drops between my fingers then pat it evenly around my face and blend with my fingers. The I use my Rephr Sponge to press it into the skin and absorb any excess. Because it is so pigmented I do think it's a good mixing foundation...for instance if a tint doesn't have enough coverage or you want to add glow to a satin or matte finish. @@TamarasTimelessBeauty thank you. I called manufacturer and they said could be sunscreen mixed with it not working. They recommended an oil based sunscreen such as black girls sunscreen. Thank you for your reply.
I am not a fan of storing makeup in such an old desk - it may have lead in paint or staining from that era. I prefer modern clean cabinets & like to stand my foundations upright not lying down. However it's up to you of course what you do.
