Gina Tolleson was the first beauty queen I ever saw. I saw her in person on a military base when I was a kid. My dad and I were immediately captivated by her beauty. She's one of those women who are striking on camera, but drop dead gorgeous in person. She stopped to talk to us kids on the pier, gave us hugs, and was so nice and humble to the people. She is a shining example of what it means to have and show internal and external beauty.

I am PROUD that the first woman from the USA crowned Miss World was from my home state of South Carolina!! South Carolina is also the ONLY state in the USA to have 2 winners to Miss Universe! No other state in the USA has more than one winner! SOUTH CAROLINA RULES!!!

The Miss World winners for the last several years have been jokes. China winning both times in China. This year to me it was between Brazil,Jamaica, Mexico and South Sudan.
It's quite ironic that Gina Marie Tolleson lost to Carole Gist at Miss USA 1990, yet of the two, it was Gina who won a major title yet Carole lost to Mona Grudt at Miss Universe.

Miss Mexico was in 2nd place during the peageant an Miss Brazil was in 9th place.But when they announced the top 7 Miss Brazil was qualified and Miss Mexico was eliminated! I didn´t understand. Iam brazillian but I am impartial and I know that There were an injustice with Mexico,To me Brazil and Mexico should be together on the top 7.
