Congratulations Cally on moving forward to getting your PPL and knocking out the written and learning skills in the Tailwheel Aircraft is even better so stay positive and fly safe
I did my ground school through Pilot Institute. It’s a great program! It’s great to see other people getting into aviation! It’s very rewarding! I’m in my first season in a 502 and your videos have been a great learning tool for me! Thanks!
The adventures continue. You’ll never regret learning to fly. While I enjoy taking others up for a ride, I find myself really having such great experiences going solo. What a feeling!! Great video, love your channel!!
Good job Cally!!! You’ll love it. It’s natural to have the jitters at first but when you start feeling that bond with the airplane you’ll be hooked!!! All the best to you both 🤠👍
Right on! That was a question I had. Being around planes so much, did you want to get your license. Question answered . Good luck, I’m sure you’ll be successful
Man that’s great. I’m 51 years old and have about 3100 hours just in my own private GA airplanes plus about 1000 hours in a Cessna 188 husky spraying my own crops. Been married to the same woman for 29 years and I think she went up with me maybe three times in my entire life. I always wanted her to fly with me but she never liked it and I never pushed it, Tyson it’s great Cally wants to go forward and learn, I know in yawls business you are cramped for time, but those cram courses for your PPl can overwhelm someone. Especially those ones that do it in Arizona, they are mostly stacked around the Phoenix area and that air space is absolutely overwhelming even the CFi’s struggle. Just don’t let it get to you, get that written exam out-of-the-way and believe me that will be an absolute burden off of your back, and Lord I hope you get a good Dpe and as backlogged as they are, you will probably have to book them at least two months in advance.
That's awesome, look forward to watching the future videos of your flight training. I'm currently a student pilot and getting ready to solo for the first time in the next week. I'm also an A&P/IA so understanding the aircraft you are flying in is huge and will make you a better pilot when you know somewhat of how the systems work. Best of luck to you on this adventure.
Thanks Drew! I can't wait to get into the air, finishing my ground school this week. That's so exciting to hear about your progress! Let us know how the solo portion goes. That definitely makes me nervous to think about for myself.
@@AgAviationAdventures your instructor will help you be confident when you are ready to solo. There is no experience like your first solo and everyone I know loved it! It is a great opportunity for you and I know you will do a great job!
@@tristanismyboy how about total if you don’t mind me asking? I’m about to start my flight hours so am curious from anyone I can hear from. I may have long breaks too, so I’m trying to decide if should just get the ball rolling now or wait until next year when I can crank it out much quicker
Cally, save this video. So you'll have a reference of where you once were. In a couple of years, when you take us on your P51 checkout. Never say never... Looking fwd to your progress..
I think so both of you are flying one of my favorites small airplanes as it is Dechatlon, I want to know a little more of this airplane as engine run and ops checks and of course wishing her the best lucky in her career....
Awesome Cally! So glad you are taking that huge step and deciding to get your PPL! You’ll never regret it! You might even show Tyson a thing or two! I can totally relate to Tyson’s comment about how easy it is to forget so much of what we learn in our primary instruction days. I’ve been flying our Waco for the past several years, flying tourists around and around the same places. I never get to go anywhere and I know I have lost so much of my knowledge and skills base. I’m currently preparing to go after my instrument rating (and take my written) as part of my journey to flying SEATs and it’s a bit overwhelming how much knowledge I’ve let slip!
That's great James! Sounds like you're on the right course. I'm hoping to take my PPL written next week and Tyson thinks I know more then him at this point. He doesn't remember a lot from the private training.
That's awesome! It'll be a great experience! Cally, will you be starting your training in a tail-wheel airplane? And Tyson made a good point. It is easy to forget things that you don't use. For example, a few weeks ago I tried to use a non-digital E6B and it didn't go very well. Haven't used that thing since PPL training. So it is great to review things every once in awhile.
I will at some point get a TW endorsement but I haven't found any places that teach in a TW (looking for an accelerated type program). And Tyson has been watching or listening to a lot of these videos as well and I think he remembers about 10% of all of it. He has said it's been a great refresher but it makes him feel pretty dumb. He thinks I'll be way more prepared for a xcountry by the end of it.
I think that's Awesome Cally!
Thanks Kevin!
Congrats cally im excited to see this years adventure for you and tyson.
Thanks!

Cally this sounds like a great adventure I wish you the best and thanks for sharing
Thanks Lee!
Cally, you will settle down once you are in charge of the plane controls. Your first solo flight will be fantastic.
I hope so, it makes me nervous thinking about it.
Empowering. Aviation is DEFINITELY that. Good luck in your journey!
Thanks Art!
Fantastic news! You go girl! With both of you spraying, The acres per hour doubles!
Haha you sound exactly like Tyson!
Good luck!! Cally
Thanks!

Congrats!!! Can’t wait to watch. I would like to some day get my private pilot’s license some day! Can’t wait to watch!
Thanks! It's been exciting so far with ground school. Can't wait to take everyone into the air.
Go for it, you will never look back!

Thanks GBW. I'm hoping to take the written next week. Then trying to figure out the flying portion. Lots of the schools are backed up quite a bit.
@@AgAviationAdventures Once you get that written out of the way that is 90% of the burden.
Once again congratulations.
Assume Cally, good luck and thanks for the video.
Thanks!
Ah cool Cally. Go get it. Never saw this coming but hey it just feels right.
Thanks!
Cool.
Thanks for watching!
Very best of luck!!
Thank you!
Good luck on that private pilot adventure. I've done it myself and it is so liberating! Enjoy the ride.
Thank you!

How many hours have you flown to get to your first solo flight?
@@leeroyjenkins3677 that’s a long story due to breaks in training but about 10 since I started back.
