Thank you so much for being a Porcelain Goddess. Although there is nothing wrong with going tanning or fake tanning, you don't know how much I appreciate seeing a woman like me. I've not always felt to confident about my skin color, and I've even tried everything to change it. Just watching your videos inspire me to embrace my Scottish heritage! Much love Zabrena! ❤️
I guess Im randomly asking but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost my login password. I love any help you can give me
holding the makeup removing wipes next to my eyes like you mentioned has worked so well for me! I had thought about it before but since I hadn't really heard of anyone else doing it that way I didn't really think about it again so I'm so glad you mentioned it! It's such a good tip because it not only breaks the makeup down it reduces the rubbing near your eyes too which is always great! Thank you for the tip! :)
the green simple bottle one seems pretty good for the price point and its quite natural. i may look into that one when i finally use up all of my other makeup cleansing solutions
The new Garnier micellar water with the blue cap for waterproof works super well and doesn't leave that blurry oily feel. I went through many bottles of the Boots Brightening remover before, but I think I'll use the Garnier from now on since it's a bigger bottle. :)
+Zabrena I think I would go with the Garnier, myself, as it is the brand of those I have the most experience with. Nice eyes, too. are they contacts? hope not!
Didn't think so! Personally if I had to judge them for what I need my glasses for & from a religious standpoint I'd say contacts are blasphemy. do you wear anything other than sunglasses?
I use Systane lid cleanser wipes, I have very sensitive eye lids and the lid wipes remove all of the eye makeup and keep my eyelids from getting irritated. Then I use Simple micelar cleanser to remove my face makeup before washing my face. They are both keeping my skin in very good shape so far after 3 weeks, love this combo.
This was perfect!!! People always tell me how amazing neutrogena makeup remover is and I have never loved it because of the residue! I just bought the maybelline and now I know I need to return it. Thank you! Please continue to do videos like this! We need this!
I use baby oil only on the eyes and follow up with the oil free Almay wipes to remove any excess oil. It erases every single trace of eye makeup down to the smallest molecule. I prefer just to use a warm wet wash cloth and a gentle cleanser for the face.
I love this series, keep up the great work. Maybe you can do a battle between all the brow mascaras that there are. Theres Maybelline, Milani, Nyx, Loreal, Ulta, ect and its so hard to choose.
I love the garnier oil especially if you have dry skin in the winter. I use the simple too! Both are fantastic! I use the neutrogena ones just for my eye make up. Great video! I love these type because it introduces me to new items to look for.
I have used Mary Kay's makeup remover for many years and I love it. I will continue to purchase it but I also love the Simple Micellar water, and Boscia's Makeup Breakup oil.
I lovvveee how high quality your videos are! There isn't a lot of editing like other RUclips videos that I watch, others are very choppy and tbh difficult to watch it can get annoying. You're personality and just the way you present yourself is so fun and I just really enjoy all of your videos:)
I LOVE how you have the picture of your cat framed on the table! He does not look happy but still looks precious! LOL i would love if you did a video on cleansing oils :) Neutrogena and Burts Bees each released on in the past few months, cleansing oils are for sure my favorite way to remove heavy makeup
Cotton pads are all bad for you and the environment! Use simply a make up sponge and wash it with soap. It is the most gentle thing you can use to clean your face and you can use it so many times if you wash it.
I am using Barnier's micellar makeup remover. It does a great job. No stinging or burning sensation on the eyes. It's inexpensive. I used to use Lancome, but it's gets to be too expensive for a small amount that finishes too quickly. I can happily say Garnier is the best of them all.
Eye makeup remover is meant to be used first, then cleanse your entire face, there is NOTHING left after that ! I had same Neutrogena experience ; was going to go back to L'Oréal (Lancôme) until I saw that Garnier Cleansing Oil. WOW!! did that ever do the job. I was a makeup artist/rep years ago and really learned a lot, got to try a lot and taking off your eye products first was repeated over and over. I wish I didn't know so much sometimes ! I also wish I didn't have about another week's worth of Neutrogena stuff to use ! Thanks for all your work, it is top drawer.
I don't wear falsies but I do stand by my Pond's cold cream. I may try something else one day but I like the way it smells, the way it gets all the gunk off and how it feels on my skin. It's smells just like the Hello Hydration face cream so I don't have a bunch of different scents giving me a headache. I love it!
I use plain old coconut oil and love it! A big jar at Walmart or Aldi $4-$5, it starts as a solid but immediately melts to a liquid on my finger tips. I haven't tried it on a makeup pad so not sure how it performs that way. I just rub it on thoroughly to loosen up all my eye makeup before washing my face. Reminded me a lot like the cleansing oil you used and liked. I can say, I have to go in with a wet q-tip after washing my face to get the skin between my lower lashes fully clean when I use waterproof mascara {which is every time} :) I like that it's a 100% pure and natural product that also conditions my lashes and the skin around my eyes.
Hi Zabrena. My experience with Micellar waters, so far, has been that it is pretty good at cleaning off most of my makeup but just doesn't work well on waterproof mascara. I end up using my long time fave, the Mary Kay makeup remover.
I love using the Simple wipes to remove my makeup and then in the morning I use the Simple micellar water to clean my face instead of doing a full cleanse like I do at night. I really love the micellar water because it doesn't dry out my face and leaves my skin feeling refreshed. I personally don't think it takes of my makeup that well but I'm glad it worked for you!
I love the simple brand. have used it for a while but I also love the Neutrogena remover wipes. Have also used them for years and they do a great job of removing makeup.
I like the rite aid brand of the nuetrogena one. I usually wash my face after I take off my makeup though. I love using the simple micellar for days where I cant fully wash my face and I need something to clean it or after I wash it to make sure all the residue from makeup is off my face.
I just found the Garnier Micellar water at Walgreens in my area! They have one that is just the cleansing water (with a pink lid) and one that has the dual-suspension (with a blue lid). I never wear waterproof makeup, so the one with the pink cap is the one I purchased, and its great! Glad to see this formula finally making it to the states, because i love it! Better value for money because there are more fl oz than the Simple, and works just as well!
Kudos for timing how long it takes to remove. Love how detailed you are. Thanks for the recommendations. I'm going to try the one for sensitive eyes. I used Ponds cold cream for years and years but suddenly had a reaction and can no longer use it. They tell me they haven't changed the formula but I've used it for over 20 years with no problems and now I have issues with it and I've tried several different jars purchased at different stores.
Zabrena, the best makeup remover I've ever used is actually a creamy facial cleanser from Lush called Ultrabland! You massage it on your face and then remove with a warm wash cloth and it works perfectly! I would love if you reviewed Lush products too!
P.S. Tried the L’Oreal Clean Artiste and absolutely love it. Thank you!! The best remover especially for long-wearing eye makeup that I’ve ever tried (and I mean over decades). Wow! It works fast. Your trick to hold the pad on the eye for a few seconds is great. And, how it doesn’t leave any oily feel is truly a mystery. Now I need to find really good disposable remover rounds or pads.
Super helpful! I've been using the Neutrogena for ages and not been that happy with it; I use a 50/50 mix of jojoba and olive oil to remove my mascara, what a pain in the butt. I don't always want to deal with oils and oily residue...so nice to know my options, thank you!!
I use that Garnier cleansing oil and have done so most of 2015. I rarely re-purchase skincare, but that I'll keep buying. I sometimes follow it with Garnier's new micellar water or use the water only when traveling. I find it more effective than Simple's version and it is also a better value. Finally I'm a brand new subbie and I love your vids!
Hi Zabrena, I have Ponds deep cleanser and makeup remover in the jar (w/ no scent). I love it. I use it as a makeup remover because it's one of the only products I can find that doesn't hurt my eyes. It's a cream so I remove it with a warm rag. Takes less than a minute for me. It removes my waterproof makeup, too. Would like to hear your thoughts on BioDerma and if it's worth the hype on removing makeup.
Interesting that you thought Neutrogena was one of the worst. I've always used that makeup remover, and thought it was one of the best, I guess I need to keep looking to find something better! Thanks again for the great review, as usual, Zebrena!
First off, I LOVE the hair. Also, I now feel so justified in my dislike of the Neutrogena makeup remover! So many RUclipsrs rave about it, but I found it fairly ineffective! I am glad that I'm not the only one. I will be picking up the cleansing oil! It scared me because as an oily gal, putting oil on my skin seemed like a bad idea. But we have pretty similar skin types, so now I'm curious. Thank you, as always, for another supremely concise and informative video!
I use the Loreal Clean Artiste, but I apply it different. I actually use a Qtip dipped into it (after shaking of course) to coat my eyes and then I gently run it along my lashes as if I was applying mascara. It gets it all off and uses far less product.
i was soo nervous to hear about your review on the simple brand micellar water! Im on my third bottle and i just love it! So happy that you reviewed all of these, because i wanna try so many more!
Thank you!! I have been looking for a comparison video on the make up removers. I love using Dermalogica PreCleanse! It is similar to the last one that you used and it takes EVERYTHING off in one application. I bought it last year at Ulta. Hands down my go to, but I have to now get my hands on that Simple one so I can switch off.
I watched this when it came out. Bought three of your recommendations. Loved them . You have saved me tons. I use to use Clinique's. It was expensive and I wasn't that happy with it. Loreal, Lumene, and Studio 35. Loved Loreal best.
The almay eye pads are the best for me, before that I used MAC's gentle remover in the pink bottle, if you plan on using the big waterproof makeup remover bottle, be prepared for oily vision
Love the hair! I keep backups of the Loreal one! I used Mary Kay's makeup remover for years at $15 a pop & I compared the Loreal to it so I switched & not looked back! Saved myself a bookoo of money! I'd like to try the Simple brand & the Garnier. I'm thinking maybe the oil would work well for mature skin.
The Almay Eye Makeup Remover Liquid is my favorite, and you can use it all over the face in addition to the eye area. I always go for the oil free one.
Thanks for including the color of your polish....I was going to ask. I'm a polish junkie and love your choices! Great video....I'm going to try the cleansing oil! 😉
Thank you so much Z! I have really been looking into trying micellar water, but now I think I want to try that garnier oil! Another make up remover I think you should try is the Mary Kay oil free makeup remover, it is my holy grail I'm sure that you will love it! Thanks for all your helpful posts, your skin is looking flawless girl!
i've been using the Garnier cleansing oil for a year now and i LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! the main secret of using it is to rinse it off a little at a time. but yeah ya definitely do not have to wash your face again after it.:-D love ya Zabrena!! thanks for all you're doing for us!! much appreciated :-D
Love this review of removers! Also, thank you for placing the name of each remover on the screen while it was under review & we watched you using it. Thant is so helpful!😃
I would love to see a cleansing oil compare/review. I picked up the berts bees cleansing oil today. I'm stuggling with super dry skin right now and hoping it helps. Thanks for all you do!
I liked the Garnier cleansing oil but after several months of use developed an allergic reaction. Now my favorite is the Neutrogena cleansing oil. (Funny their wipes irritate my eyes.) My second choice are the Simple makeup remover wipes. No matter what makeup remover I use, I thoroughly wash my face afterwards with Cera Ve foaming cleanser.
I love the Simple Micellar Water, I've even used as a toner as well. I definitely think you should try cleansing oils, my favorite at the moment that I couldn't recommend enough is the Clinique Take The Day Off cleansing oil!
Omg I agree! The Maybelline Expert Eyes...I’m not just disappointed with it...I hate it. It’s thick and greasy without even fully removing waterproof mascara. And after I used it, I had *terrible* blurred vision...not for 5 mins...pretty much the rest of the day. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried it a few times, same each time...nope. I can’t even stand the look of the bottle...ugh 😫😖👎
I love Neutrogena light cleansing oil. Now that you've reviewed Garnier, I need to try it too. I really love the cleansing oils. I feel they're much kinder to my skin.
I am really liking the Garnier micellar water to remove makeup. They make 2 versions, I got the one that says it removes waterproof mascara. I always thought micellar water was a gimmick until I used this one - it really does get everything off and when I wash my face afterward nothing comes out on the clarisonic brush! I used to use the Equate (Walmart store brand) biphase makeup remover and that worked decently but if I got it in my eye it would make my vision blurry.
I love using cleansing oils. I started by using Korean brands, but have started using US brands since they started popping up in the drugstores. I still cleanse afterward, even though they don't leave any residue, but that's just personal preference.
Thanks for this video. I use the clinique, but it is expensive. I buy the neutrogenia and never feel it does a good job. I was happy to see this video. I wrote the names down and bought the Lumene and the Loreal. Love both. Ulta had Lumene buy one get one half off. Two for 9$ ! Thanks and I love your videos.
Thanks for this video. I have tried so many drugstore makeup removers and have not found one that I liked. I always end up going back to the one from Clinique which I love but it is more expensive. I will try some of those that worked for you. I have already tried the Loreal but I tried the regular one, I think I want to try the waterproof.
I love watching these videos. I am almost done with my Garnier cleansing oil and thought about trying their micellar water. I also used up all my Studio 35 eye makeup remover and need to buy another one. Good to know I made the right choice the first time, lol.
I have found an Aloe calming facial cleanser from The Body Shop that is great for removing all kinds of makeup! it's supposed to be used as a facial cleanser but it works on makeup too, you should try to not get it in your eyes however, its great on mascara and eyeliner and because it's aloe and calming it doesn't irritate the skin. Hope this helps someone!
Thank you for the video. I love how you try out products for us and show us how they perform. I use Avon eye makeup remover lotion. It works really well and gets everything off.
How do your favorites compare to Lancome's Bi-facil? I read in Temptalia that the Neutrogena Oil-Free is an exact dupe of the Lancome, but I think there are definitely differences. The Lancome is faster, less greasy and more effective. I tried Lumene and L'Oreal in the past but they were definitely not as good as the Lancome. I've been using Vichy's Micellar Cleansing Water -- it takes a lot longer, but I'm surprised it works pretty effectively at removing waterproof mascara (but you do have to soak the cotton pad with it and hold it on your eye for over a minute).
The body shop Camomile cleansing oil! Also, Bioderma, the classic of course. These, I use for the face as my eyes burn with everything else, they just don't like makeup remover. So for my eyes, I use almond oil. It does leave your eyes quite oily but it is gone the day after and I think it actually helps my lashes to grow and get healthy. No burning, more lashes, natural eye moisteriser, healthy eye hair,... I'll happily live with the oilyness then :)
I use the Simple Micellar water also and love it too! Just wondering if the Garnier one has jojoba oil in it. I have used jojoba oil as a face wash/make up remover before. Now I use the jojoba oil with essential oils added in as my skincare/moisturizer for day and night. Have you tried any essential oils for skincare?
I like the clinique one. it's on the expensive side so I can't wait to try the garnier cleanser for a budget alternative. Thanks for these video's...I love the detailed information.
If you loved the cleansing oil, it might be worth looking into Asian Beauty products! My favourite would have to be Kose Softymo Deep Cleansing oil, it's a Japanese cleansing oil that foams slightly and dissolves with water, and I haven't found something it can't remove yet! This cleansing oil is seriously hard-core, it will take off the most waterproof makeup and really cleanses deep into the skin to remove the last traces. Because it's so hard-core, I only use it when my skin really needs a good cleanse, but it's a really great product.
I love the garnier, but I use exfoliate after to get a lot of stuff of in the shower. I feel like it's hard for me to rinse when I'm not in the shower. I also have the maybelline for when I'm not showering it's terrible. I'll go back to baby shampoo and baby oil.
i love the simple miceller water but i literally go thru it like water lol so i only save it for mornings when i need to quickly cleanse my face. as far as makeup remover, ponds cold cream removes EVERYTHING!! even waterproof mascara. it just melts everything away. hate the packaging cuz it's in a jar but the product itself is amazing. i swear my skin feels softer after i use it!!
Garnier also makes a makeup remover lotion in a squeeze tube that I absolutely love! I have the cleansing oil as a backup, so now I'm excited to try it! Loved this style of video. Very helpful! ;)
taking a quick moment to mention congrats to you almost there at 200 000 followers. Just love watching your videos, one of my fav moments of the day. Wishing you happy holidays from Montréal-Canada
Hi Zabrena! I love your videos and find them really helpful and I have a question. Like you I have oily skin and I've recently seen that facial oily are a better alternative for combating oil and I'd really like to give this a go since I feel my skincare could use a boost so do you have any suggestions on a good one to try? I am on a bit of a budget so Drugstore would be preceded! Thank you!
Love the cleansing oils! Been using them for a while but I have found that the neutorgena cleansing oil is so much better than the garnier cleansing oil.
It's super sad to read that. Just embrace who you are, no matter what society wants to put in your mind :)
I guess Im randomly asking but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account..?
I somehow lost my login password. I love any help you can give me
I've really been impressed by the new Garnier micellar water too! There's a formula for waterproof makeup and it's amazing! 🙂
Please do the video about only cleansing oils!
holding the makeup removing wipes next to my eyes like you mentioned has worked so well for me!
your hair! love it you look so classy & beautiful! ☺😘
+Erin Higginson Thank you so much, Erin! :)
+Zabrena I think I would go with the Garnier, myself, as it is the brand of those I have the most experience with. Nice eyes, too. are they contacts? hope not!
+Michael Werbovetz (81GMC2500) thank you! No, not contacts :)
Didn't think so! Personally if I had to judge them for what I need my glasses for & from a religious standpoint I'd say contacts are blasphemy. do you wear anything other than sunglasses?
+Michael Werbovetz (81GMC2500) contacts are blasphemy? Thats a new perspective ._.
I can't stop listening to you speak! You annunciate so well and so clearly! I love it. Thanks for the amazing video
+Sara Dirani Thank you, Sara! Props go to Dad for that, he'll be very happy to hear that!
I love that, too, but then get startled when Zabrena randomly yells something out, hahahha.
Sorry! Not gonna stop watching ever, so it's fine.
Papa raised you well!! The you speak very fluidly. Amazing!
This was perfect!!! People always tell me how amazing neutrogena makeup remover is and I have never loved it because of the residue! I just bought the maybelline and now I know I need to return it. Thank you! Please continue to do videos like this! We need this!

All of Simple's products are amazing! I have the most hyper sensitive skin and I love how my skin feels with their stuff
I love this series, keep up the great work. Maybe you can do a battle between all the brow mascaras that there are. Theres Maybelline, Milani, Nyx, Loreal, Ulta, ect and its so hard to choose.

The Loreal green clean artiste is the same formula, or nearly so, as the Lancôme Bi-facile remover that is widely reputed to be the bee's knees.
Can you do a best and worst cotton pads??
Cotton pads are all bad for you and the environment! Use simply a make up sponge and wash it with soap. It is the most gentle thing you can use to clean your face and you can use it so many times if you wash it.

You are so naturally pretty. Without makeup you look like you popped out of a classic painting.
Eye makeup remover is meant to be used first, then cleanse your entire face, there is NOTHING left after that ! Wow...you really did an awesome job...you have put in so much effort in it...great...
Love it
Love the Simple Micellar water. And be sure and try the Eclos cleansing oil. Its delightful. Rinses clean away with water.
I love the Eclos one!! It's my favorite!
First time I've seen the deeper red hair. I love it! And the style. Classy.
I purchased the Garnier skin active micellar cleansing water with the blue cap... works great, no burning of my sensitive skin. Great hair cut btw!
that lipstick matches you PERFECTLY, specially with your hair and pale skin. you look gorgeous!
I use Gariner Micellar Cleansing Water in the blue cap. It removes eye, lip, and face makeup perfectly.
I love the simple brand. have used it for a while but I also love the Neutrogena remover wipes. Have also used them for years and they do a great job of removing makeup.
You got my favorite the Garnier facial oil! I also use it on my beauty blender to break up some of those stubborn stains of makeup.
I like the rite aid brand of the nuetrogena one. I usually wash my face after I take off my makeup though. I love using the simple micellar for days where I cant fully wash my face and I need something to clean it or after I wash it to make sure all the residue from makeup is off my face.

Zabrena, I was hoping you might do an updated version of makeup removers please?!
I've started using those Makeup Eraser cloths - they work! And less crap in our landfills!

I've been using the Garnier oil for months. Their moisturizers are pretty good as well! Love your channel!
Your look in this video is absolutely stunning!! Do you have a video showing the eye look??

More sophisticated and exquisite
love cleansing oil look into DHC cleansing oil it's amazing and a try and true by many
Interesting that you thought Neutrogena was one of the worst. I've always used that makeup remover, and thought it was one of the best, I guess I need to keep looking to find something better! Thanks again for the great review, as usual, Zebrena!
I'm gonna try the Garnier cleansing oil! I'm having so much trouble removing the last traces of my HG covergirl supersizer waterproof mascara!
I do love the Garnier cleansing oil and their makeup remover lotion cleanser although I always follow the lotion with my regular cleanser.
First off, I LOVE the hair. Also, I now feel so justified in my dislike of the Neutrogena makeup remover! So many RUclipsrs rave about it, but I found it fairly ineffective! You are so well-spoken!! Ugh, I envy your speech skills. This was a very detailed and helpful review. Thank you for this!
One you could try is the liquid eye makeup remover by Annabelle that has a pump. It removes even waterproof makeup.
I watched this when it came out. Bought three of your recommendations. Loved them . You have saved me tons. I use to use Clinique's. It was expensive and I wasn't that happy with it. Loreal, Lumene, and Studio 35. Loved Loreal best.
The hair! Love these videos! I love oils for removing make up. ♥ Elle
I love the neutrogena ultra light cleansing oil, very similar to that garnier one
The Nivea Express eye makeup remover is my FAVOURITE!
I'm using the Garnier micellar water and I'm pretty pleased with it!
I love your frugal Fridays. you do the best comparison videos that I've found.
Thanks and I love your videos.
your background and hair look so beautiful in this video! (you're always gorgeous, but this hair is SO flattering on you!) amazing video as usual xx
You should try pond's cold cream!!! It's amazing for taking all your makeup off and makes your skin feel great!
Loved this video!!!!!! Can you do a Best & Worst of cleansing oils ...Then micellar waters?
I love your videos as well as how organized & detailed you are about the products! You get yourself a new subscriber! ❤️
Love you zabrena!! Could you do a best & worst of the simple brand??
I use the Simple Micellar water also and love it too! Just wondering if the Garnier one has jojoba oil in it. I have used jojoba oil as a face wash/make up remover before. Now I use the jojoba oil with essential oils added in as my skincare/moisturizer for day and night. Have you tried any essential oils for skincare?
Hey girl try out neutrogena hydrating cleansing oil...for me I hv oily skin n it's good on me removing make up
I like the clinique one. it's on the expensive side so I can't wait to try the garnier cleanser for a budget alternative.
I get so excited seeing a drugstore video every Friday!
+OpheliaXo Whoo hoooo!!!
Very helpful! ;)
taking a quick moment to mention congrats to you almost there at
