  • These are 7 music variants of the Pepsico bumper as seen during the funding credits of "The MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour" on PBS from December 9, 1991 to June 30, 1993:
1a. Mandolin Concerto in C Major, RV 425 (Allegro) - Vivaldi (long)
1b. Mandolin Concerto in C Major, RV 425 (Allegro) - Vivaldi (short)
    2a. Sylvia-Pizzicati - Leo Delibes (long)
    2b. Sylvia-Pizzicati - Leo Delibes (short)
3a. Anvil Chorus - Giuseppe Verdi (long)
3b. Anvil Chorus - Giuseppe Verdi (short)
    4a. Horn Concerto, K. 495, Movement 3 - Mozart (long)
    4b. Horn Concerto, K. 495, Movement 3 - Mozart (short)
5a. Rondo for Piano and Orchestra in D Major, K. 382 - Mozart (long)
5b. Rondo for Piano and Orchestra in D Major, K. 382 - Mozart (short)
    6. ?? - unidentified #1 (long version only)
    7. ?? - unidentified #2 (short version only)
11 and 12 were added sometime later between 1992-1993.
From July 1, 1993 to June 30, 1994, the same music variants were used, but only with the short version, along three newly-recorded voice-over variants by Jim Lehrer. Those I will be uploading sometime later.
    Enjoy! :D

What I noticed at 2:28 is that for the Pepsi logo coming out, there's a boing sound instead of a pop sound effect.

ngl, if Garfield and Friends aired on PBS, these'd be perfect for the funding credits.

I remember those well. Who knew junk food could have a finer side of life?
One thing, though: just saying "PepsiCo" twice doesn't cut it for me. Here's how I'd do it: _PepsiCo (- on behalf of Pepsi, Taco Bell, KFC, Frito-Lay and Pizza Hut). When it comes to satisfying the world's appetite, PepsiCo delivers performance with purpose._
(Cuts 5 and 6 are the "Anvil Chorus" from Giuseppe Verdi's opera _Il Trovatore,_ BTW)

@@michelleezeugo5098 Well, PepsiCo sold Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and KFC to Yum! Brands. Today, PepsiCo has maintained Pepsi and Frito-Lay, and added Tropicana, Gatorade, and Quaker Oats.

music for #1, #2: Mandolin Concerto in C Major, RV 425 (Allegro) [Vivaldi]
music for #9, #10: Rondo for Piano and Orchestra in D major, K. 382 (Mozart)
no luck for #11 or #12 though, that might just be an original piece AFAIK
-also just as a sidenote I'm so sorry you have to deal with some of the cringe in these comment sections-

Music for #7, #8: K495 Horn Concerto No. 4 in Eb major by Mozart. That piece is so much fun to play in orchestra! I can't identify #11 or #12 either. I think you might be correct about them being original PBS jazz piano pieces.
