I was there - you took our picture at Snowmass Lake :) - and now we have a whole video to commemorate it! Glad you had perfect timing for the fall colors this year, and thanks for your continued creations that routinely put me in the backpacking headspace in between my own trips. Always excellent stuff
@@MAXIMUSMINIMALIST Hi...sorry, I don't check RUclips notifications much. We went September 24-26, and IIRC that area got snow ~1wk later - but most of the fall colors stayed, so anyone who braved the cold probably got the iconic Maroon Bells photos of neon yellow aspens in the foreground of epic snow-dusted peaks!
Kraig’s the best with recording his hikes. Clear, no talking, best camera shots. I also love just hearing footsteps crunching through the rocks and leaves.
Hey Kraig, thanks for the videos. I’m a mom of 3 boys, whenever I was overwhelmed by the lockdown situations with the boys, I have calmed myself by watching your videos. My eyes are tearing up often with these beautiful scenery, and feel grateful for my life. Thank you..
Just when I was feeling a little stressed about a project... This. Sometimes a notification is just what you need. As always, thanks for the inspiration sir.
@kriagAdams My wide and I did this hike in September of 2020 after an unexpected snow storm had hit Colorado. It the most magnificent walk through nature we have ever done. The contrast of the ivory snow against Maroons Bells with the fall aspens in the background was jaw dropping. Thank you for filming this so I can relive that amazing hike!
This is like therapy for me. Thanks, Kraig from all of us who can't leave our homes during these trying times doing WFH day-in-day-out. Good luck with your next trip mate.
The other day I was in my recliner & had your channel coming through on my TV. It was a three hour video & I watched all of it. So relaxing & the scenery is absolutely beautiful & interesting. Your a pet lover & that speaks volumes about who you are. Your kindness & love comes through for our fuzzy friends. Thank you for showing the world the virtues of how to live life by. Treat others & animals with care, kindness, respect, Love & the world will surround you with the same quality of life. Thank You!
It never ceases to amaze me that some hikers never stop just to take in the scenery and appreciate mother nature. When I go hiking, I make sure that I don't turn into a professional hiker. I want to enjoy all the beauty around me and pause quite often to examine blooming flora or to observe a squirrel that is trying to hide from me. I keep my bear spray handy, but if I see a bear at a far distance, I take photos and observe it for some time before continuing my hike. In other words, I get involved in what's going on in nature. It's nice to run across someone else who does the same.
The internet finally lives up to its potential! Your videos are so beautifully thought out and framed; so nice to see a travel blog with rock steady camera work. Many others could learn from you. :)
Your life with your adventures is fabulous 🏔 In my entire life, I've been on big travels 3 or 4 times. I love watching your travels because you capture the atmosphere perfectly. And you know, for a moment I find myself in these places. Thanks for your work, Kraig! 🤝
Kraig we just missed you! You inspired my girlfriend and I to start hiking, and we just did the 4PL a few weeks ago. Wished we could have seen you and said hello! Thanks for letting us relive it :)
Kraig, I've often thought over the years about the disruption of your own enjoyment of the environment you're in going back and forth for the camera must be. As someone who has found themselves less physically able in the last two years, the story of your journey shown in this format gets you closer to the first hand experience of it. I can imagine the journey and project myself on it specifically because of the way the narrative is presented. It's fucking phenomenal, my man. Another great video. Thanks so much.
Thank you so much for making these videos. I started backpacking a couple years ago, but haven't for a while because of joint problems, hypermobility, and a sprained ankle, which makes it painful to walk. This helps me relive and get so much joy out of backpacking, and gives me hope that someday I will be able to do it again myself.
Bro, don’t feel bad! I just moved to New Hampshire from hiking in California for the past 3 years, and the elevation is just completely different. You can’t replace living and hiking at altitude with anything else. I’ve hiked a ton in New England so far and done some tough hikes, but I’m sure I would die hiking at high elevation right now. Nothing can replace high elevation and living at sea level or low elevation just doesn’t compare to your body being acclimated at high altitude. Nice video and I love it!!!
My Pops and I would go backpacking every summer throughout the Sierra Nevadas…we haven’t gone in about ten years, really miss those trips. Seems like life happened…marriage, kids, job…but we have recently talked about starting that up again!
Find this so relaxing wile going through hard times in life. Haven't ventured out for such a long one but hoping to try an overnight camp trip one day soon.
Kraig, Thanks for another wonderful video. Yes, altitude sickness happens! People, even young people, can have heart attacks at altitude with pushing. We got to Vail Co a lot, and every year, unfortuantely, this happens. So something to remember on your adventures.
Man I love hiking, my parents have just started taking my sister and I out on harder ones t, we've been hiking since I could remember, I wish we could do it more though. I love it.
It is my dream how you go to such beautiful places. Watching how you do it, I am even more inspired. Because I do not find time for this, despite the fact that in our country there are many such beautiful places. it is easy to write about it while sitting at the computer. But someday I will definitely hike like you!
Hi, I'm your fan from Russia! Thank you for your videos, they inspired me. Now I also go hiking alone. It is very cool. I wish you success and prosperity.
Two thoughts.....I think this is the biggest pack I've ever seen you use...because of bear canister? lol Secondly, you must have walked 60 miles with all the backtracking to get your camera in order to get those fantastic shots of you hiking, etc. Bravo again, Mr. Adams.
This is a sweet loop. I completed it over the summer. Once of the best hikes I've done. Caught sunrise on top of buckskin pass the last day. Incredible
Great job Kraig. I did a similar hike back in August but cut over to Geneva Lake, Arkansas Mountain and over the Silver Creek(?) pass to Capitol Lake. Love the fall colors!
First time viewer. Enjoy your format for this, no talk, just scenery and music and later a recap/breakdown. Perfect! Did this loop clockwise from Aspen in 2016, have seen now 2 counterclockwise videos and think I'll give that a try if I go again. I have 4 photos from the trip on my walls. The area on Snowmass Lake where you had breakfast is spectacular and probably my favorite spot. I had lunch there and the lighting was good, at breakfast when you were there it was off the charts. I wanted to spend hours there but had to move eventually.
Awesome video as always. I am a regular hiker but don't hike as much due to two school-going daughters at home. I am adding a few of your hikes to my bucket list with my hiking buddy.
Also had the pleasure of meeting Kraig on trail like Karl! Something so surreal after watching so many of his videos. Well done on the video and always looking forward to the next one.
On getting to that trailhead, I would advise those without 4x4 to take the Maroon Snowmass Road all the way in, and not take Divide Way, which I made the mistake of doing once in a sedan (because it was the shorter route from where I was staying in Snowmass, and that's what my phone gave me). I did make it (with a Subaru Impreza), but not without a very steep, very difficult section with rocks. The next time, I made sure to go the "long" way, which enables you to enter the rough part much lower down and avoid the steep parts.
Thanks for sharing the four pass loop in fall Kraig! I love Colorado. It is so beautiful. I went there but it was after a recent avalanche so could not do the whole pass. So wonderful to see, thanks again.
I think everyone needs more sunrises across the lake in their lives, everyone would be happier.
Absolutely! And mountains and flowing streams make someone happy, too :)

Which day of the year was it?

Yes, the no talking, very low or NO music is best. Let nature speak to the audience- loud music is such a distraction.
the best video to relax after a hard day at work 😊😊
Totally agree with you
it's pure pleasure to watch this kind of videos
👏👏👏
My cat loves watching your videos with me 😻
These videos always add a little more happiness to my day 💗 so beautiful and so calming.
I completely agree with you. I myself have similar feelings.
👏👏👏

i like the BGM, which is so soothe while hiking is always so tough and dangerous.
Thank You for beautiful videos and music. 🍀

Breathtaking views & great hike. 🏕🌲🙋🏼♀️👍🏻

Nice video. It is obviously a beautiful creation , our earth.
Took a solo trip to Colorado on my motorcycle last spring, man it’s beautiful can’t wait to return in the summer

Sitting here with coffee, first thing in the morning, watching this video. So relaxing it feels like I have been meditating :D
Every period of nature is wonderful. All off them is special. Autumn colors is amazing
Really liking this new format of video with peaceful relaxing music without narration.
Your video of 4 pass is incredible. So beautiful to see the grass and trees changing color.
Colorado has some of the best trails in the US, well done 👍

I did this trek about 3 years ago. One of the most memorable trips of my life. It really was a challenge. Especially the last pass.
@Michael A meh?
How can u say he's a fraud we can litrally see him taking every step of the way
Those autumn Colorado colors bring me back so many good memories!
Yess Kraig a fall season hike. This one feels extra special since it’s my favorite time of the year. I love seeing the leaves changing colors.
👏👏👏
Just got back from doing 3 nights/4 days out here. One pass a day. Can't help but cry reliving the beauty here. Incredible.
This guy never misses
Hung my prints last night and new video today. Perfect!
AMAZING cinematography as always Kraig! Thanks for taking us along so we can enjoy with you :) The music hitting as the sunrise did... *chefs kiss*
Beautifully filmed (as usual). Thank you for sharing.
I really like the hike and then the informative "follow-up". What an GREAT approach! Super!
Another gorgeous film Kraig. Captured in that relaxing and calming style. I haven't seen you use trekking poles much before! Thank you for sharing!
