Interesting theory. One thing I would say though is although we get a new main series game every four years, we are getting a remake or additional content with new pokemon every 2 years. But yeah, ultimately, the long term success of the game is gonna hinge on Ninatic's ability to develop features that engage the player base outside the conventional 'go out and catch a pokemon' in the same way the main series does which allows new games to be released every four years without the player base getting bored.

Good addon, I do believe that if since day 1 the release rate of Pokémon was slower it would make to game last longer without community outrage
