Wanted to show the cool new karaoke game for the Xbox. 1:53 All the Small Things (Blink 182). 5:48 Begin Again (Taylor Swift). 10:24 Here Comes Santa Claus (Elvis Presley). 12:48 Mustang Sally (Wilson Pickett). 17:34 State Farm Festival. 21:09 hot 100 songs of the catalog. 22:34 newly added songs. 23:33 song genres available. 23:59 Xbox instructions.
In order to get the video past the censors, I had to swap out the audio so if the audio seems funny or the audio is not matching the on-screen action, now you know.
8000 songs for rental. This is how karaoke should be. No disc swapping. No more paying $2+ for a song. No more $30-50 for a disc of songs, many you don't like. Reminds me of the nights friends and I would rent a karaoke studio room and eat, drink, and sing all night long. You can wear any of your avatar clothing too. Even the Kinect posing is funny. If you want good karaoke, this is it! "Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there!!!!!!" :D

I used to play this so much... Fun game, good times, not that long ago, but I still miss this game
cant wait to try this out! got the points ready and my mic just came in the store today! mics are hard to come by so i am so psyched for this weekend!
I miss Karaoke, its an amazing game, I wish they at least bring it to the Xbox One.
and let you make any of your friends be in your band even if they have it or not
at any time, you can add songs to the playlist through your tablet or notebook or PC through the SmartGlass app. you can use Windows 8, Windows Phone, iOS, or Android. so it's great. while someone is singing, you can be adding songs at the same time. no more waiting around for people to choose a song.

Xbox SmartGlass is built into Windows 8 and Windows Phone. For iOS and Android, you download it through the respective stores.
The SmartGlass feature is pretty neat. You can browse and add songs even while the person is singing. So no more waiting around and having everyone watch you try to choose a song. No down time at all if you don't want it! :D
meaning what you can use? I didn't check if you can sing with the Kinect. I don't know why you'd want to as sound quality is important with singing. You for sure can use the Lips wireless mics or USB mics (Guitar Hero, Konami, Rock Band)
yeah, it's kinect compatible. check to make sure the kinect is plugged in before you load the game.
every day, there are 5 free songs to play. these were the 5 free available when I was playing. if you pay to play, you can choose any from 8000+ songs.
in the US, 800 MSP = $10. but I figure most people will go for 2 hours if it's just a couple of people which is 240 points ($3) or 6 hours if it's a group of friends which is 400 points ($5). you'd have to be really dedicated to get the 24 hour package! :D
A tip for anyone trying to get achievements on this, you can just position your mic right next to the speakers on your tv, and you can get pretty good scores! I've just had Phil Collins doing a karaoke to Phil Collins xD

if you're doing it for say family in on the weekend, get the 1 day pass. sure, you'll waste some hours but it'll be cheaper than a pair of 6 hour passes (as long as you sing more than 12 hours).
it's still a good deal unless you sing all the time. but for the 1 time a week or 1 time a month that you and your friends get together, this is cheap. i bought all the Lips games, Guitar Hero, and Rock Band stuff. and that cost a lot. And I have to sing the same songs over and over. Or buy songs that cost $1.50-$3 each. or when we go out to the karaoke studios, it costs like $17/person or $20/hour.
Is there any way to play this with smart glass and relive the full experience in 2024?

Hi there, I've also been trying to get this app on my 360 for quite some time now.... Every search online leads in circles and i'm not computer illiterate :)
Your quick instructions below are the first set of step by step i've seen anywhere on where to find this app....
however i'm still not seeing it. maybe its no longer available for download or the 360?
My main home screen has the following menu items
bing home social games tv&movies music apps settings
if I select apps, I see my apps, New Releases, Browse Apps, Sports, Search Apps, Internet explorer, Current TV Hits (hulu Plus) Instant Favorites Netflix, PBS Favorite shows, Hit TV and Movies AMAZON, and XBox Music (stream millions of songs from favorite artists).....
That's all I see.... if I select the music option.... it takes me to a streaming sign up screen trying to get me to get a music pass.... Do we need this for Karaoke?
If I do a search search apps from the app menu, "karaoke" is not found
If I search the main menu music option, no karaoke app can be found there either....
seriously, i'd really appreciate it if someone would check if this is still a current availability for the xbox 360, and how to find it....

is there a 2 day pass??? if there is, I guess you'd be wasting the time. it just keeps ticking once you get it. it's just a counter that starts once you pay. the best strategy to max your time is to browse the catalog before you pay, copy down all the songs you're interested in. that way, you don't waste your paid time just looking for songs. if you're singing by yourself, just get the 2 hour pass. if with friends, get 6 because 2 hours goes fast when multiple people are alternating/singing.
What equipment do I have to buy, apart from an LED TV? Only xbox360? What does Kinect mean? Is this a piece of hardware I have to buy on top of xbox360? Sorry I am no expert, but I like karaoke.
Kinect is the camera that you can use either Kinect games, having a Rock band mic I an sure is needed, I am not sure if the app is still up, as I've not played this in years

Hi. I need help. When I go to apps, then go to search apps at the Xbox 360 home. I searched (Karaoke) and nothing popped up. Am I doing something wrong? Please reply to this. Thank you!!!! :D
okay, if you haven't installed it yet, go to the apps marketplace, then to the music tab. karaoke should be there. select it and install it. then go to my apps and it should be there. it'll just be an icon with no words.
if only i had that main menu music :(
