That’s so interesting how you said you like to be comfortable and not challenged when you are a flight attendant!! To me a flight attendant sounds like a job where you are constantly challenged. You are out of your comfort zone with meeting new people, working with different crew members all of the time, seeing new places, finding your way around, having an inconsistent schedule and just always being on the go! I guess you’re just comfortable with this chaos or you’re just a born natural in hectic situations you don’t even see it. Love your vlogs! Love your energy!
She wasn't relating 'comfort zone' to her job. From all her blogs...she is very dedicated to her vocation. I took it to be related to doing her routine in her time off from flying
Stella is so sweet and has a very positive attitude, as well as such a great sense of humor. I admire she can be so positive under a great deal of such stress. She has to deal with such horrible and hateful passengers for her income. She reminds me so much of my best friend when I was in my thirties. We used to be so silly and called by our husbands Lucy and Ethel. When I am feeling down and having a very bad day ,I just need a dose of "Stella" to brighten my day!
My social anxiety goes into overdrive thinking about working as a flight attendant. As an introvert, meeting new crew members all the time would be the worst part.
Especially when there are people bidding for overtime or someone is off work. If I remember rightly the bidding starts with the people of the highest level, & or the length of service. If no one wants it then it’s offered to the next level of staff. Details could be wrong tho 🌼 I can’t imagine the headaches of where staff are, where planes are, how much working time do they have left. If they need to be flown somewhere to another plane…sounds like an absolute nightmare!
Oh yeah! I've done work schedules for 6 people in a restaurant and that was a chore in itself even though the restaurant didn't switch places, nobody needed a hotel room and the only thing I had to take into consideration was the work law regarding days off and 8 hr rest between shifts. I can imagine crew scheduling being a million times crazier with around 20 000 people flying around here and there, switching planes, having to take the legal working hours and crew availability into consideration, booking hotel rooms and shuttles, things changing just like that at the drop of a hat...that takes some serious palm treeing!
I wonder if the schedule system tries to minimize overnight stays to cut down on hotel expenses or if thats factored in at all. They don't seem to rush them on overnights the next day I would expect early call times and its usually more like mid afternoon. I imagine the bulk of the scheduling is automated with that complex of a system it would almost have to be...but then falls prey to mix ups as there is no perfect system... outright errors then add in sick ppl and weather changes it would certainly be scheduled chaos.
I bet there is some computer program doing the calculating, and the staff just observes and corrects. I bet they even will not have to book the hotel rooms for the crews at the phone nowadays. A big airline surely has all that automated. Staff has to interfere and correct things only when something goes wrong. Am I right? Would love to hear from someone actually involved in air crew scheduling. We tend to forget that behind Pilots and FAs and all the visible things there are invisible people directing all of them.
Stella, you are so right about hotel clocks......they are the absolute worst, they are never right. Over the years I've learned to just turn the clock around, so it faces the wall.
Stella, SEPTA offers an express bus route - either 124 or 125 (Can’t remember) that goes to the mall from Center City. Something to remember for the next time you visit.
I'm doing a deep dive back into Stella's videos since a new video short popped up in my feed this morning... I can't believe that the hotel in this video is the exact same hotel I stayed in three weeks ago! I've got pics of the workout room to prove it! In some ways this is such a small world. 🙂 And it is such a better world with Stella's joie de vivre back on RUclips!
Oh yes, yes indeed, if we ladies can find one brand of bra that not only fits perfectly, but is also comfortable, it’s time to load up on every color and style. Thanks, Stella, for yet another wonderfully entertaining vlog.
You are crushing healthy eating. Good job! Nice to see you in my neighborhood! That's probably the third home for the Liberty Bell. When I was little you could actually touch it and we'd bang on it to try and make in ring. The walk/don't walk lights are mostly on large, busy intersections for now. But as they replace old lights they have upgraded them. Thanks for the long video!
You are so energetic and full of life! I found you through 74 Gear/Kelsey. I saw you when he taught you how to fly. You and your husband seem so happy, he seems so sweet taking you on a picnic. Great channel you have.
Thanks for your feedback, I just discovered a beneficial way to make money trading Crypto, Feel free to write to my Admin on what'sap for assistance and make money like I do...
Love the vlog Stella! Especially loved what you said about challenging yourself. So true! I think TedTalk Stella is a vibe lol. Safe travels and greetings from Guyana!
Stella, I always enjoy your content. I really appreciate the time you take to post all off the things that you use for your trips. Plus all your social media info. Happy Travels!
just discovered your videos and they are so much fun. What my husband and I learned about hotel clocks - check to see if the alarm is set. Learned this after the alarm woke us at 3:45 am. The prior guest must have had an early flight!
Here in Pennsylvania when you cross the street you are to cross with the green light just as if you were a car. Also here in Pennsylvania cars are to yield to pedestrians.
I can't believe I am sitting here in a hotel on my layover watching you work. Like why do you have to make work so fun that I watch my job while I am chilling haha. Keep it up! I wish I could vlog in uniform, but just my trips and layovers will need to do
So thrilled you have surpassed 200K subscribers - well done!! Thank you so much for sharing all these trips and insights into the delights of Nordstrom sales. Love from your London, England fans ; - ) x
I don't know how you can look so fresh and together, with such a frantic, stop and go lifestyle. I think it would kill me in under a week; or I would end up lost in some strange place. Bravo. Great channel 👍.
I FINALLY got around to watching this Stella. Been very busy. You are getting alot of delays lately, and i bet the hardest thing must be crew scheduling. Love those shoes. We need a Nordstrom haul when you get a chance. And thank you for keeping me entertained. I was in London when I got "pinged" by the NHS app saying i had come into contact with someone who had tested positive. So I had to come home a day earlier. Thank you for entertaining me during my isolation period. xxx
I used to live in West Palm Beach. I sometimes miss it. But I don't miss the humidity! It's awesome, though, to live so close to the beach! I hope you enjoyed your time there, Stella, especially One City Place!
Ah you made it to Philly! I work downtown and walk the area you were in every day to my office. When the light turns green you walk! You get used to taking your life in your own hands haha. If you wait on the cars you'll sit there all day.
15:15 Hahaha in Philly we don’t care about such things. You just cross whenever you want and you drive whatever speed you feel comfortable with🤷🏽♂️. Only time I’ve been pulled over in Philly was because I cut a cop off and he just wanted to yell at me for doing that but the fact I was speeding had nothing to do with it🤣
I think that was a smart thing going a bit crazy with the wish list. That way you can take a second glance later on at everything that you thought was interesting and then _maybe_ put it in your shopping cart. I try to do this with nearly all my online shopping - I fill my cart, then wait. A day or two later I'll probably ditch 50-90% of the stuff and then make an order.
What hotel chains do you like better than others? When I was flying, the airline I worked for used a lot of the Choice hotels (Comfort Quality clarion) etc) as well as Marriott brand Hotels. I left the Airline Industry years ago and work for Amtrak now. I like the Drury Hotel Chain they are like Embassy Suites and Homewood Suites with Full breakfast and free evening social. Also like Inter Continental and Crowne Plaza

@@CallieMasters5000 Yes, but as long as I lived in Philly they always had armed guards in that area, even over night. I've certainly walked around the old city area drunk, so I would know. That would yell at people to cross the street LoL.

Hi Stella!! You had a blast!! I enjoy when my flights are extended it's so much fun!! Yeah those philly lights are like that. I knew exactly where you were and left to come out here to Seattle to live, long story😊😊. But flying is fun and yes the weather is becoming pretty rough. Was just out in philly a few weeks ago and the th flights deteriorated significantly. Talk about powerful turbulence. Very very nice. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!
I was hoping you would get to go to the King of Prussia Mall. Came on holiday to America in 1999 & were supposed to go to that Mall but it was flooded due to Hurricane Floyd.
Philly airport is so confusing sometimes. Great to see you in Philly! Skyline is always so pretty. King of Prussia Mall is crazy. It has so many stores. Definitely outside of Philly. Just be careful exploring out in Philly, can be rough at times. Oh yeah in Philly, walk where you can lol.
So my brother and his wife flew today from Atlanta to Orlando on what is considered a low budget airline. Not the one Stella flies for or the main one out of Atlanta. It took them an hour and 20 minutes to deplane because there was no one working the gate for the low fair airline. So Stella, what do you do, as a FA, if that ever happens and people cannot get off the plane?

I love this! You were where I LIVE! Haha. There are barely no walk signals anywhere (when I first moved here I was like holy crap- how do I walk?). La Columbe draft lattes are great but the Oat Milk ones are NOT it. Ha. You made me appreciate my home again- thank you.
I live in Ohio, but I make the trip to Philly (West Chester) frequently to shop at the QVC outlets in Fraser and Lancaster (Amish country), and visit QVC Studio Park where they broadcast from. They used to do studio tours and have live audiences, but COVID brought an end to that. I’ve been to King of Prussia mall, lots of high end stores (at least the last time I was there). You’ll have to check it out next time. 😉
So Stella, with all of the hotels stops you make, have you identified a favourite mattress? I'm looking for a new one and I'm overwhelmed with all of the options!

As an introvert, meeting new crew members all the time would be the worst part.

Be careful with the Atkins bar. One is fine, but if you have a second one later in the day, it can really upset your stomach.

Fort Meyers. There is an S on the end of Meyer. With that being said, there is no S on the end of daylight saving time.
