In all these new releases, has anyone offered a beefed up Borg Sphere, like an armored Sphere variant? The Cube (a more canon version anyway) is too powerful for a game like this, but I think a tactical Sphere would be a great fit.
Not an armored Borg Sphere, per se. However, the UniMod I Borg Shphere (Base) (I add the Base bit because it is selectable as an AI opponent under Bases) is a particularly nasty opponent
You forgot the best feature of the excelsior 2.0: the unbreakable tea cups. They're brilliant and will stand up to sudden meteor showers. ☕

The Excelsior2 is a monster. In STO it got me to revamp all my flagships. Feel sorry for the refit/refit... Such a beautiful mod.

WOW that was totally AMAZING the Excelsior 2.0 really held up well against the advanced quantum torpedoes
I would almost try that battle again from the refit/refit and stick to regular quantums.

That is NOT an Excelsior 2.0. The Enterprise B was an Excelsior 2.0. Your design is a 3.0….or at the very least a 2.5.
Enterprise b was a variant of the same design.. this is truly a new design.. Hense, 2.0
