You are the best inspiration when it comes to anything nail art. I recently found my love for painting nails and I really hope to be as good as you one day! ^-^
I love the way you broke this down! Sometimes when I watch videos of people just naming all of there colors, I get so bored.. but I liked hearing your favorites & why you liked them! Definitely a more interesting approach! Thank you. :)
When I'm in stores and I want to check out the formula, I don't test on the nail. What I do is I twist open the bottle, do a quick swipe on the inner bottle neck. See how the polish runs down and see how much light comes through the polish and through the glass bottle neck. You can see visually if the polish is super sheer or not that way :D
I'm not allowed to own nail polish, but my friends have large collections..they always ask me to do their nails for them! I have a similar taste in polishes as you, and hopefully when I'm older I'll have a big collection like yours ;)
Underneath my vanity, out of direct sunlight and out of the bathroom :) That's how I'm doing it lately and they fare well. Some polishes are naturally thicker than others tho and when the solvents evaporate (like if you use it too much and the bottle is open/closed a lot) the polish will get thicker. Maybe try putting your favorites in the fridge? Supposedly they last long there but I'd do more research :)
A few reasons, really! One is a dark green but it's so dark it looks black on the nails :) One is a black with shimmer...I have an old one that I need to toss b/c it's running out, I just bought a new one as a replacement and I was sent a black polish by The Balm. I have too many now as a result. :D
I love them! Ur idea is fantastic for storage! Believe me, I took a page from ur book, cuz the way they are separate, its the only way it works, otherwise if the polishes are not viewable, it takes away from potential inspiration...great collection, especially ur glitters!
In the blue glitters, i saw the urban outfitters dust polish, it's absolutely beautiful. It's fine and chunky silver metallic glitter in a darkish blue jelly base and I absolutely love it!
I think I'd try researching a nail polish thinner. I haven't had a problem with thickening polish (so far, anyway) but I have bought Seche Vite thinner because that topcoat dries out quickly. But as far as regular polish goes, try looking for a nail polish thinner. And do NOT use nail polish remover as a thinner.. it will ruin the polish.
I don't do any special maintenance... I think the only time I look and move the liquid around is when I'm about to use it or when I'm thinking of using it. I'll shake them around when the polish really separates badly and I see it. Also, I have mostly cream polishes aside from glitter... I'm wondering if a lot of metallics separate more than other types of colors. Hmm....
Hmm I don't have one myself so I have no product recommendations for you unfortunately. But maybe try Caboodles? Boxy and sturdy seems way to go, especially if you're bringing a lot. Otherwise, I'm sure a regular makeup pouch will do :) Best of luck to you!
I'm a teacher but I'm a nail tech on the weekend and full time in the summer, but I use every nail polish under the sun!! One of my fav nail colors is Barbie Purple by Ruby Kisses which is a $1.29. The highest nail polish I've paid for is MAC and Sally Hensen (complete salon manicure) $8.
Hmm I don't think I do anything special. I try to make sure the bottle I'm using is nicely closed before I put it away. Where are you storing them? I try to keep them in a cool dark place out of direct sunlight, and out of the bathroom because of heat and steam. High temperature can dry out the polish or make them thicker.
Hi Janelle! Hope you're fine. Please, reupload your nail polish collection, it's amazing! Oh, there's some things that I get doubt: 1. Can you upload a video for nail polish dupes? Because there are to many nail polish brands that have the same colors and I try to save money, and found a good formula. Thanks!
Great collection! My favorite china glaze are peachy keen, strawberrie field, and ahoy! I highly recommend them. Also girly from revlon. I read that you dont want racks but makes much easy choose which one to wear
This is the chart I made when I was watching the videos of you nail ploish. These are the ones I have!Red-1 Orange-0 Yellow-0 Green-1 Blue-1111 Purple-0 Pink-1 Silvers/gray-0 Black-1 White-1 SPARKLES-111
I have 115 nail polish that I have brought my self and u are such a inspiration as I would like to be a nail technician and I watch all our videos thankyou
Most are from the drugstore. I used to coupon a lot and because of that I got a lot of nail polishes cheaply. As for nail care please see my nail care video :D Hopefully you'll get more helpful info there!
I've experienced this with only a few polishes so far... I honestly haven't done anything about it yet. :T Maybe in the future I will buy a thinner but the ones that have thickened aren't precious enough to me to save them
I love doing my nails! It's just sometimes I don't have the patience. For some reason I can never be completely still, I always shake. Especially when taking pictures. But you do a fantastic job, nice collection too!!
For the pale yellow color that you cant seem to find, I recomend Butter London's "Jasper". One coat is light but once you add the second coat it becomes opaque. I love it! Hope this helps!
Great video! Really well done. Quick question: for maintenance of the polish, do you shake them every week or just when you get a chance? Or do you mind when they separate? I'm not sure if I'm slowly ruining my collection by now
I love glitter polishes too! Usually I buy fine or mixed glitters, but your videos are making me want to try chunky ones ;) I keep all my polishes in a large hat box, lol. I'm almost at 100 polishes, when (not if, lol) I fill the hat box I will get a storage shelf like yours- such a great idea. I'm on the hunt for a perfect yellow, nude, and gunmetal polish. So far the best yellow (but not perfect) is Avon Sunshine. I recommend Avon Mystic (fine purple taupe glitter) and Hard Candy polishes!
Your collection is amazing!! I LOVE silver sparkle polish (and pretty much any sparkly polish! Haha!) ...I found a am obsessed with Sally Hansen Diamond Strength called "Diamonds". It's a subtle silver sparkle. It looks really nice alone and on top of other colors. 💅🏻
Frantices I am an avid nail biter and personally the only way that helps me keep from biting is to keep them painted. As soon as my design starts to chip or peel I HAVE to change it or all my work goes downhill. Hops this helps you.
This was posted almost 2 years ago. I'm wondering how many has been added in your collection over the past 2 years. Do an update please! (if you haven't done it yet)
Dear Janelle , I absolutely love all of your tutorials I would love to try each one of them in my nails , the only problem is that I'm kinda running out of them lol. I've been biting my nails for about 10 years now and I really want to stop this bad habit ! It's just disgusting and embarrassing . If you have any tips on how to stop I would be so grateful . Thank you anyway for all of the awesome videos ! Much love and respect , vesa.
I would add some nail polish thinner, personally. Beauty supply stores should have them cheaply.. around $5. Nail polish remover will seem to work initially but remember that it is formulated to break nail polish *down*.. in the long run it will shorten the life span of you polish.
Janelle, I adore your videos, you have an incredibly soft voice and the simple cute design of the videos themselves make them look very professional :) i have a question about all these polishes, how do you prevent them all from drying out over the time? some must be waiting to be used for months
I have a few cream formula polishes that are a little thick, otherwise I think they're not bad....but I don't think the formula is as good as OPI but I like it.
I'm a little surprised that you like Revlon! I have a glitter, a metallic, a cream, and a shimmery polish from them, and they all became unusable in a month or so. The cream and the metallic are both soo gloopy. The glitter got a bit gloopy, too, and the shimmer is really sheer. Do you find them to be hit or miss and I just go all misses?
ur collection is amazing. Can u plz film an updated version of ur collection. M pretty sure u might have bought tons of new polishes in a span of almost an year!!!!
wow! I'm so jealous, in a good way! hahaha! Your nail polish collection is stunning! one question: How much money have you spent approximately in all this ?
OH MY GOD !! :D Amazing collection, i need ask you something... How do you do to keep them in good condition and it doesn't dry or deteriorate with the time? Thank you (:
OMG so much *_* I'm so jelly :P how do u keep from your nail polish from drying?? Most of the nail polishes that I buy dry out pretty quickly. Is there something that u do to keep them from drying?
I love your collection! You are very professional with your videos, as well as your tutorial. I just found out about you today, and am going to subscribe :) I love how you show a clear shot of what you will need in the beginning of your tutorials. Some colors you may want to try: Sally Hansen- Rockstar Pink (pink and purple medium sized glitters that is opaque in two coats!) China Glaze- Ruby Pumps (Medium milled red glitter in a dark red base, also opaque in two coats).
You too:) currently watching your valentineish day nail art tutorials. I forgot to mention I also love your color changing ideas at the end. You should do a jelly sand which nail art tutorial, look up misshollyberries for details. I bet you could do AWESOME ones with all of your glitters. I'm going to try one soon :)
This is crazy good. The most professional lookin nail polish collection video I've come across on youtube, and trust me... I've seen A LOT. Interesting how you don't seem to have that many OPI. And you don't store your polishes upright... I don't either! I heard it was supposed no no but atm I have no choice.
I think you should try the Maybelline Color Show brand. They all dry really fast though they do have a strange matte-like finish when dry but a topcoat fixes it just like your sinful colors polishes!
I really like Sinful Color's Midnight Blue, Wet n' Wild's Ferguson Crest Syria from the Fergie collection, Sinful Color's Supernova, Revlon's Copper Penny, and Sally Hansen's Black Heart.
I have it and some of these ones in my collection. If you like fine pink glitter , try OPI Princesses Rule, it's so gorgeous! You can build it so you can use it as a topcoat glitter or build it to make it it's own color. :)
So happy to see Sinful Colors nail polish, I don't usually see youtubers who do nails include that brand .
You are the best inspiration when it comes to anything nail art. I recently found my love for painting nails and I really hope to be as good as you one day! ^-^
Silentlce You will be :)
what does that mean
+Midrange Morris What does what mean
Loooove your collection! I'm another one hoping for an updated collection.
I would love to see your updated collection. Hopefully a new nail polish collection video is in the near future. :)
Thanks Chanel :) I do want to film an updated one... but now I have so many colors I'm still trying to figure out how to format the video! hmmmm
I love the way you broke this down! Sometimes when I watch videos of people just naming all of there colors, I get so bored.. but I liked hearing your favorites & why you liked them! Definitely a more interesting approach! Thank you. :)

Thanks for the suggestion! :D I think I've seen that one in stores I should check that one out again :]

We want an updated collection!! And storage ideas as well.
La colección que posees es impresionante, realmente son muy bonitos los barnices que eliges!.Me encanto definitivamente.
A few reasons, really! In the blue glitters, i saw the urban outfitters dust polish, it's absolutely beautiful. It's fine and chunky silver metallic glitter in a darkish blue jelly base and I absolutely love it!
They're okay :D I haven't tried out the non-glitter polishes but from the few that I have I like them
I don't time it.. using the fast dry topcoat Seche Vite helps :D It's my favorite topcoat

Love your collection. I love the way you showed us them!
I want to be just like you when i grow up lol, having nail polish that matches any and every outfit I will every buy :3
You have a beautiful nail polish collection! I liked your way of storing it as well. I'll have to keep an eye out for storage bins like that.
you are living my dream life! we have very similar taste in nail polish and i love seeing all these colors and brands i've never seen before!
Yes it was definitely late night editing! >_< Oh well I don't have the heart to delete the video and reupload again :D
I have Seche Restore but I've only used it on the SV topcoat! Thank you for the tip :D
Ah thank you! I wasn't sure since they don't have it for sale on the website :D Thanks for the tip!!!!
Hmm I don't think I do anything special. I try to make sure the bottle I'm using is nicely closed before I put it away. Where are you storing them? I try to keep them in a cool dark place out of direct sunlight, and out of the bathroom because of heat and steam. High temperature can dry out the polish or make them thicker.
love your collection!! such a nice variety of brands and almost no repetition of colors
I have literally 6 nail polishes and I do my nails maybe 5 times a year, but I'm addicted to your videos! :)
Your collection is the best you r soooo lucky you have so many glitter polishes
Hi Janelle! Hope you're fine. Please, reupload your nail polish collection, it's amazing! Oh, there's some things that I get doubt:

for opaque yellow polishes you can use : sally hansen fast dry nail color in lightning
for sheer yellow : confetti margarita senorita
Revlon polish is awesome!! I also like Sinful colors. The formula is really nice, especially for the price.
Target! Not sure if they still have it though..
I love your videos so much. you wrote every detail of the product you used. its really helpful thank you a lot.
I'm in awe of your collection, its beautiful! And i love that they aren't all high end. you went nice and fast too and I didn't et bored :)
Most are from the drugstore. I used to coupon a lot and because of that I got a lot of nail polishes cheaply. As for nail care please see my nail care video :D Hopefully you'll get more helpful info there!
Wow this was amazing!! I love the graphics and your voice is so captivating!!
I've experienced this with only a few polishes so far... I honestly haven't done anything about it yet. :T Maybe in the future I will buy a thinner but the ones that have thickened aren't precious enough to me to save them
What are the best quality nail polishes you have? (Just some tops if you had to choose please)
Ciate funhouse is a must in your collection. Love this kind of videos to know what to buy.
China Glaze Lemon Fizz from the Up & Away Collection is a beautiful pale yellow and it is super opaque and I found it easy to work with!
I love it! Hope this helps!
i love your voice in this video, so relaxing and much improved from the old videos
They have Julep polishes in Sephora now :)
Sinful Colors has the most gorgeous purples I've ever seen! Most other purples I've seen in other colors are the same tone.
Great video! Really well done. Quick question: for maintenance of the polish, do you shake them every week or just when you get a chance? Or do you mind when they separate? I'm not sure if I'm slowly ruining my collection by now

wow you are so lucky that you have many and beautiful nail polish
this is just amazing. i was planning on just getting china glaze and essie but you have changed my mind to get all types of nail polish brands!
A beautiful color I have is Butler Please by Essie . With a matte top coat and some gold studs it's a really cute and simple mani . :)
Oh fabulous collection! Your colour taste is gorgeous, love your toutorials

I was looking for a way for storing all my polishes and stumbled upon your channel. Thank You!
your videos are so sophisticated
I've seen it at Target, CVS and Walgreens
This was posted almost 2 years ago. I'm wondering how many has been added in your collection over the past 2 years. Do an update please! (if you haven't done it yet)
Gem Gem Now she said in a video that in 2015 she has over 500 bottles of nail polish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really like Opi! I don't buy much because of the price though
It is Julep Harper :) I think that's the one you're talking about. If not, ask me again :D
Thank you so much!
You have such a awesome collection and beautiful colors
Thank you for the supportive words :D
Dear Janelle ,
I absolutely love all of your tutorials I would love to try each one of them in my nails , the only problem is that I'm kinda running out of them lol.

Much love and respect , vesa.
I do really like OPI and I wish I had more...but I think I'd cry seeing the receipts :D lol So drugstores it is!
Nicely shown collection! I was looking for a super light pastel orange.
I tend to add a tiny bit of nail polish remover to thin the polish out and shake the bottle well to mix the substances together
Do you like The Face Shop polishes? I've tried Etude and Nature Republic, but haven't stopped by their stores to see if they're worth it or not.
youre welcome, i know that a lot of ppl here on youtube complained about your voice. i think youre very talented and ur nail designs are awesome ;)
i just wanted to let u know tht u inspired me to make tutorials more (just need to get a better camera) ur my inspiration
QUESTION: What do you do to keep them from getting sticky, do you put a little bit of acetone in it? or do you use something else??
I would add some nail polish thinner, personally. Beauty supply stores should have them cheaply.. around $5. Nail polish remover will seem to work initially but remember that it is formulated to break nail polish *down*.. in the long run it will shorten the life span of you polish.
I think they're alright.. it depends on the finish...some of the cream formulas can get a bit thick sometimes :T
Janelle, I adore your videos, you have an incredibly soft voice and the simple cute design of the videos themselves make them look very professional :)
i have a question about all these polishes, how do you prevent them all from drying out over the time? some must be waiting to be used for months
the lighting for this video is amazing ^.^

I try to keep them away from heat, sunlight & steam (from the bathroom)
I get it from the Julep website but Sephora has started to sell them now
OH MY GOD !! :D Amazing collection, i need ask you something... How do you do to keep them in good condition and it doesn't dry or deteriorate with the time? Thank you (:
Purple is my favorite. Saved the best for last!!!
How I miss her videos 😭
beautiful presentation! love your collection
i love ur voiceover for this video! u seem so energetic and fun
L.A colors has a opaque yellow that i love to use!
