If you have some unused sponge eyeshadow applicators that can work :) Or try using a small piece of saran wrap wrapped around a finger to dab on a thin coat of color.
I use a synthetic brush because it's a little bit more precise in where you want to clean up, and sometimes depending on the Q-Tip the fibers may stick to the wet polish while cleaning. It all depends on personal preference you can do it either way :D
It means you can see right through it :) Sheer polish will leave an almost transparent wash of color. Most polishes are not opaque on the first coat, and those are the ones that are 'sheer.' Hope that helps! :D
I guess base coat is optional but I'd recommend it so your nails are protected :) And you don't have to use sheer colors if you don't want to... nail art is about self expression so use whatever you'd like! I'll say though that using more opaque colors will not look as "soft" as if you used sheer ones :)
mine came as a set of synthetic makeup brushes.. I think its a concealer brush.. basically any synthetic, flat brush will work. I don't like using Q tips because the fibers can sometimes mess up the manicure :D
I love love love your tutorials, Janelle. I've been watching you for a little over a year. I love your tutorials, because most nail artists have long wide nails. My nails are really narrow and long, and I can easily recreate your nail designs! : )
Your voice is so calm...don't be offended when I say this but I always watch your videos before bed and I always find that when I do, I fall asleep faster because I'm more relaxed after watching your videos(:
I'm not a freehand nail artist so I prefer using stamps. Otherwise my left and right hands would look very different and it would take a lot more time.
A 'sheer' polish means you can see right through it :) Sheer polish will leave an almost transparent wash of color. Most polishes are not opaque on the first coat, and those are the ones that are 'sheer.' Creams are flat, more opaque with no hints of shimmer. For example, the white polish I used here was a 'cream' formula. Hope that helps! :D
If the creams are to opaque, you won't see much color overlap between the two colors on the nail. But, I'm sure it'll still be okay :) Most creams aren't that opaque anyway
You're honestly one of the best nail art youtubers out there, probably my favourite! I love your voice and how you edit your videos, and your designs. I love the mix and match manicures too they're super adorable ahh just keep doing what you do! Subscribed :)
Hey! I've always wanted to use nail glue for my nail jewels but I've always been afraid that they wont come off my nail (the glue not the jewel) do you just file the glue away? or can you soak them in polish remover? thanks :)
Wow - I never really saw the value to sheer polishes until I saw this video. I always considered them a bit of a disappointment to find. Why do you prefer using a brush rather than q-tip for clean-up? I personally feel I can get more pressure with the latter, and the polish comes off much easier, especially if it's thick or has already dried.
Wow even nail treatments will not work? :[ Does that include nail strengtheners? Like the Diamond Strength ones from Sally Hansen? I know those types of strengtheners will stiffen the nail up and make them stronger but I'm no expert with strengtheners yet. :T
I love how you give different color palettes to choose from at the end of your videos!
This is very random but I love your voice! It is so calming you videos always put me in such a good mood! So talented too!!
I swear everytime I watch you videos I am never disappointed! I really appreciate all the hard work that goes into making your videos!
If you have some unused sponge eyeshadow applicators that can work :) Or try using a small piece of saran wrap wrapped around a finger to dab on a thin coat of color.
I just really love how calm and relaxing your voice is, great tutorials!

I love your voice! I find most nail artist on RUclips that do voiceovers sound loud and annoying, but your voice so soothing and sweet
:D yay! thanks for watching!
the unicorn charm is sooooooo cute!!!!
It means you can see right through it :) Sheer polish will leave an almost transparent wash of color. Most polishes are not opaque on the first coat, and those are the ones that are 'sheer.' Hope that helps! :D
I use a brush rather than a q-tip because of precision... but for scrubbing off polishes that are more difficult to get off, a Q tip is great :D
I guess base coat is optional but I'd recommend it so your nails are protected :) And you don't have to use sheer colors if you don't want to... nail art is about self expression so use whatever you'd like! Love your videos. Love the song in your video too. I've never heard this version of it.
Normally I use a pair of sharp scissors to cut off the 'used' portions. Once that's removed you can re-use that same sponge.
Yes according to the Hex Nail Jewelry FAQ :)
They have their own website :) I have a link to it in the video description box if you'd like to visit
If you apply a topcoat underneath it should help protect your nails :)

Me too :)
The hex nail jewelry website FAQ says gently pick it off and re-use :) If you have a few polish layers underneath your natural nail should be okay :D
A 'sheer' polish means you can see right through it :) Sheer polish will leave an almost transparent wash of color. Most polishes are not opaque on the first coat, and those are the ones that are 'sheer.' Creams are flat, more opaque with no hints of shimmer. :} thank you so much India
Wow even nail treatments will not work? :[ Does that include nail strengtheners? Like the Diamond Strength ones from Sally Hansen? I know those types of strengtheners will stiffen the nail up and make them stronger but I'm no expert with strengtheners yet. :T
The hex nail jewelry site FAQ says you remove them by simply picking them off
Sooo pretty
