I replaced the Stock cable with an Enncoo AirCord Ultra-Light Paracord Mouse Cable. (Detailed guide link below. Stock cord in video.) You have to purchase the cable from Gilmore Designs as the cable direct from Enncoo uses JST but you need Molex Pico. You need the cable shortened to around 100cm get the 8,000hz working but I've been having issues. (It might be different for you, still feels amazing and like a wireless mouse.) I made a guide that you can follow to upgrade the cord or even if you want to know how to remove and de-pin the connector. Hi Kyle, thanks for the review. I recently ordered the MK3. Would you say this mouse would be a good general use mouse, if I don’t need customization or programming features?
ty for the review man 👍 would you recommend a harder or a softer pad for that specific mouse? like artisan hayate otsu soft or the artisan hien soft what do you think? @Kyle Ireland Tech

Palm gripping this will make you naturally rest your fingers on the front of the mouse (not the switches, the literal front.) I grip like; Wrist wresting on pad, big gap between palm, pinky holding one side and thumb on the other. Pointer finger on M1, Middle finger on Scroll and next finger on M2. My grip is naturally like that, so on other shapes I usually palm it a bit too at times or have it slightly floating. Like the G Pro Inspired PMM Mods 3D Printed Shell that I reviewed is a 10% Smaller G Pro and I grip it like the above but with some palm, either relax and floating a bit or on the back.
They are for me too, however I’m starting to see the impact in aim a lot more now after joining their discord and them explaining how side buttons effect aim, let alone in a fingertip mouse. I also don’t want to sound negative but don’t ever expect it to have side buttons. They’re adamant on their mice having side buttons.
@@HeyNavi While I can understand why it affects this mouse in particular because it's a fingertip mouse reliant on those fingers to control the mouse, how exactly do side buttons affect aim generally? I'm interested in what they have to say, however joining discords isn't really my thing
@@zwein1817 Side buttons do not really affect aim in regular size mice since there’s more palm contact that you can sacrifice your grip for a moment to press a side button and go back to your grip. The same can’t be said for FT mice. You lift off your thumb and there goes all your contact with the mouse since there’s no palm contact to compensate Edit: however if you wish to get the same experience but with side buttons, go with the hsk pro 4k/ace. The size between the m2k (now out of stock forever, m3k will release next year) and hsk pro 4k/ace are very very similar but the hsk has side buttons and it’s wireless so that’s a plus if you hate cables. And if you’re wondering, the difference between hsk pro 4k and hsk pro ace is that the 4k can do 4k polling rate, weighs about 29g, bigger battery and the ace can only do 1k polling rate, weighs 27g and a smaller battery but I guess it doesn’t matter since it’s 1k polling rate so the battery won’t drain as fast. They’re both the same size/shape.

@@adamjohnson5152 yeah it's super lightweight so.

I honestly don't know, it really depends if you want speed or control.
I like some speed so I use the Artisan Hien Soft.
@@kyleirelandtech thanks for the feedback:)
What is the length of the cable?
Will it work with 110cm or 120cm to stabilize 8khz?

I see
So it's not practical to use at 8khz...
