They got sun burnt I'm living in Germany and bought mine in a garden centre for about 30 euros...they are tissue cultured plants so pls dont remove them from the fabric casting...they might revert when you remove the casting...since they grow them in those and put chemicals inside
Celeste Citrine oohhh no!!! I had no idea about the chemicals, Thank you for the info. I hope they will be OK.. And stay pink! Shit I hope I didn't ruin them!! That would be a waste of money. I'm glad you say the leaves are sunburn, and not some disease.
@@plantwithroos i always wondered why they keep them in those castings ive seen it so many times...only on the smaller ppp not on the mature ppp...when you look closely inside those castings there are this tiny white particles...that's the chemical they use to grow them in...I had a conversation with Gabriella plants the other day...they are selling these...and they told me when they are young they need those chemicals to keep the varigations....as the plants mature the chemicals becomes a part of the plants and it will keep the varigarion and doesn't need the chemicals anymore...these are tissue cultured plants like the thai constellation, usually the thai constellation and ppp need to grow inside those chemicals for around a year...but because these plants are in high demand they need to mass produce them and keep them in those castings to provide the plants with extra chemicals....when you remove this casting and put the plant in normal soil it doesn't have the chemicals anymore to keep the varigarion...so the varigations could become unstable....become smaller patches of pink instead of the half moon or fully pink leaves that we all know and love

i think pink princesses are overrated. i just got a painted lady and she's lovely.
hm yeah now that i have them i kind of agree with you! i prefer my verrucosum and florida ghost! i have never seen a painted lady in real life, i hope to one day soon!
I haven't seen Philodendron Pink Princess here in Canada from retail big box stores like Home Depot or Lowe's. But if every I see one only in FB Marketplace and way expensive. CA$80 up.
Yeah they're hard to find here too! It was only one load of PPPs that were for sale back then.
I have seen the casing on other non variegated plants. I have removed the casing from my philodendron Xanadu which I bought from Gabriella plant so I am curious as to the purpose of the casing. Philodendron pink princess is very cheap in your country.
Hey someone put an awesome explanation in one of the comments! I think they use castings for all plants but the chemically variegated ones have chemicals in them!

What type of light does the Ring of Fire need?
They like lots of light but not direct sun. Mine had new leaves come out fully orange in Bright light 🥰
