This one is much better. The last version had too many regular season game home runs that were ultimately meaningless. These are all playoff homeds, aside from Jeter's 3000th hit, which is obvious significant for historic reasons.

Ibanez home runs were special and exciting to watch. He kept hitting clutch late home runs that whole post season. You could feel he was going to come up and win it and amazingly he did exactly that several times. Got to the point you expected Ibanez to hit a game winning home run and he kept doing it. Amazing to watch live.. what a thrill he was in the post season that year. Greatest clutch hitter moment in my opinion. Raul Ibanez

I was actually at Game 1 of the ALCS that year. Yanks went into the 9th down 4-0 and Ibanez ended up hitting a game tying 2 run homer with 2 outs.... one of the more amazing moments I’ve witnessed at the stadium. A great but forgotten homerun. Also turned out to be Jeters last playoff game of his career. I think I’m going to put together a video of the best forgotten homers come to think of it. Many clutch homers that wound up being meaningless. They should be remembered too.

Jim Johnson faded off rather quickly after having a crazy good season as a closer. But the Yankee offense still has the same problem years later. Struggle hitting.

Man... the 2001 World Series. If I could change either that or the 2004 ALCS, I think I'd take the 2001 WS. If we had won that year for NYC, it would have been one of the greatest moments ever in professional sports.

This video just gave me such bittersweet memories about 2001.
Those late months of 2001 were so tough as a New Yorker. Just walking around in the city was such a collectively terrible and sad thing.
And during the delayed World Series, the Yankees were one thing that even Yankee haters were rooting for...as a symbol of unification and pride.
Unfortunately, we lost in the desert.
But I’ll never forget that year as long as live!

Yeah I'm with you on that one. Every time I watch the footage of the 2001 World Series it's really hard for obvious reasons. One because that was the same year as 9/11. Two because I always think of the blown save by Mo in game 7 that moment exists as a constant reminder that even a machine like Mariano Rivera was human and finally three. The wrong team won The Yankees had more to gain winning that world series than Arizona did who were just an upstart fluke team that had a great season that year to their credit but the Yankees were more of a team and showed a ton of heart in that world series. That's why it hurt so bad for me to watch them lose it. It still bothers me to this day. Of the three painful postseason series I've watched in my lifetime as a Yankee fan the ones that hurt the most for me were the 1995 ALDS against Seattle. The 2004 ALCS against Boston but the reigning and defending of postseason series heartbreakers is the 2001 World Series against Arizona. I still despise the Diamondbacks today because of it.

To lose the 01 and 03 World Series. Arizona definitely had cheaters in both Luis Gonzalez and later Curt Schilling. Boston since 2004 has cheated cheated on getting to that World Series and their last one.

Most iconic HR in Yankees history? It's gotta be in the discussion.
