Yessss! I was so happy to see you guys saved a couple Herfords at the end of the video, the calves are so darn cute!
Yes the calves are adorable.
They will be a cross between Hereford & Black Angus.
A new manure spreader, just in time for election season! Perfect timing.
Now that's both funny and true
Shoulda been here 2 months ago.
@@blister762 all I know is here in pa the "adds' are to much and a waste of money better spent. Most of them talk "crap" anyhow😉
Not very many liberal socialists in South Dakota.
👍🤣😂
Great video. So glad you kept two of those white face beauties so we can see the beautiful calves.
Obviously 'Dust in The Wind' by Kansas is the song of the day. Good song by the way! (Am I starting to sound like Brian? That's okay because he is a standup good guy and he's rubbing off on me! Actually, he seems more like a brother to me then my own) I knew about a week and a half ago manure spreading started in my area ahead of schedule. If that spreader has the pattern width and capacity, it says to have, it sounds like a time saver! I would like to see it on the wet spring stuff before holding court though, likely do as good or better though.
That's providing Spring actually gets some rainfall next year. Where I am is nearly -10 inches for 2022.
Somebody wasn't counting head of cattle. Brian's song of the day should have been “Dust in the Wind” by Kansas.
It will be nice to see how calves come out from the herfords.
Im excited!
@@SonneFarms I was hoping you would keep at least one👍👍✌️
hopefully feet first. peace
Primo Herefords! Those were nice. 👍🏻
Plus the two hiding! 😊👍🏻
heh Cole my mom complaining about the dust in wichita kansas because her laundry was hanging. She says her laundry smells like cow sh.t
Thanks for another great video.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Keeping two Hereford for your herd. Good idea. Seems the way you both talk you have been happy with the Herefords. Trust you did well on them.
Nice you kept two.
Like that new manure spreader. Big capacity. Too bad it was so windy. Hard to tell how it works. Looks like a nice rig. Hope you get good use out of it.
Windy time of the year. You were very windy during this filming. Wow.
Getting close to wedding time. Looking forward to some videos. Thanks.
You all take care and be safe.
Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks for everything Cole.
The Iowa farm boy.
What he said
After the day I’ve had….it was rewarding to see sh*t flying some other way! Greetings from West Oz.
Many thanks! You boys work hard feeding America! Somebody could make a fortune if they could build you an all-in-one scraper-loader-spreader that would work all in one step.
Cole my neat n tidy OCD very much appreciates the new manure spreader. 😅👍
The wedding is coming up fast Cole so before the days get crazy busy I just wanted to wish you n Miss Tiff an amazing day. May all your hopes & dreams become reality - and with your work ethic n commitment I'm sure they will. Congratulations to the next Mr & Mrs Sonne Frames! 😊🙏💙🦘
Nice looking Hereford heifers Brian and Cole
Nice to see that spreader out working I brought ya. Such a shame it was so windy. I have faith you'll like it.
Have a nice day!
Great investment idea on your Hereford’s. Hope you received a great return ❤
When I had my ranch I had Hereford cows bread to angus bulls for black baldies. That heard your dad sold. That would have been an unbelievable purchase. Think about it they are all bred Hereford heifers bread to a Sunne Angus bull. And you probably could use Sunne Angus bulls for ten more years with those cows. Talk about an awesome start. I'm drooling in my dreams. Because I no longer have a ranch and I don't have that kind of money.
Holey shirt. So admire your folks respect (you still have all your appendages) for some of the most crazy dangerous equipment I've ever seen.
Thank you Sonne farms!!
I agree that it would have been nice to see the Herford/Angus babies
we kept two
@@briansonne814 That was a nice group, I was sad to see most of them go.
@@cindyn7512 It was my intention all along to breed them and sell them as bred. Im glad you like them!
I just knew Brian was going to take a liking to those red and white girls. They were a great looking bunch. I was thinking at the beginning of the vidya of commenting how Brian should'a kept his favorite. LOL. That spreader looks like a dandy. Only because I have been shopping for a used spreader myself. I am going the side discharge Kuhn Knight box route. I have some experience with those, and as long as you keep the rocks and logs out of them, they are relatively reliable. Cheers Gents.
I was crying when you were loading up the Herefords! "What?! No calves!" Then at the end you saved 2. You sneaks! I'm so glad. Can't wait!
lol
🤣😂
I got to see the video your customer made when he received the Herefords from you. Very positive reaction from him. The cattle looked great, too.
I hope the storm or heavy winds passed without to much damage. I have to say, your lady is got a hardworking fella.
I almost asked if you guys would be showing what they would look like after the calves were born. glad you kept a couple! Way to go guys congrats on the new spreader too
So today's song of the day is blowing in the wind.
Thanks for the video, Cole. It was nice "shooting the shit" with you.
Awesome Video and Much Love as Always 🌞 Farms!!!
Another great video. Thanks.
Glad you kept 2 of the Herefords
As Cole said....they "missed" the bus to Sioux City!...just sayin'...
Well, that was a lot of wind, good that you did stop, but I guess the neighbors wouldn't have minded! The Herefords looked good, hope you got a good price for them. Thanks for sharing, have a nice week.
10th Generation Dairyman in PA has a spreader like this. With wetter manure, it does do a better job of spreading, with the wind and your current dry conditions, doesn't work that well. I am amazed at the uniformity and width of the spreading.
We used to pile the manure in the corner of the field for a year and let get wet and for the worms to set up home in it . Worms good for aeration and wet manure better spread 🤗.
It "was" a pretty new and shiney spreader! LOL!!
I definitely appreciate the work you do, Thank You!
I appreciate that!
Great video Cole and Brian
I am coughing and wheezing just watching you load and spread that super dry manure.
Bye my beautiful Herefords. I hardly knew ya. 😢😢
I love new farm equipment, sling it guys 😁
A comment on how the Hereford experiment went would be helpful.
Nice looking manure spreader Brian and Cole
Thanks for sharing your vid’s with us!
Congrats on getting the cows sold glad u kept 2 I really enjoy seeing them also sweet demo spreader
I love the Herefords!
You guys have very nice looking cows.
Nice timing on buying and breeding the hereford heifers. Does Brian have a crystal ball
They were good looking Herefords.
I've had a vertical spreader for years...you'll love it..works great on pen pack
Cole smelling his fingers at the 9:31 point after spreading poo. That's RUclips Gold.
It’s great to get a new Turd hearse, but I hate chain feed in the bottom. All you have to have is one brake and be forced to fork it out by hand and you will get rid of it and get a hydraulic push spreader. Done my share of fixing as I’m the same age as Brian.
Looks like the spreader is going to be nice. Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing it in action again. Thanks for sharing.
The only piece of farm equipment that a dealer won’t stand behind! (Rim shot) 😎
Brian & Cole, why not run Hereford cattle (Heifers and Bulls) along side you Black Angus? If you do you will have the best of both markets. We successfully ran both breeds.
I dont have the grass for more. I dont want to cut back on my angus.
You happy w Herford’s growth
Awesome video
Awesome video Cole and Mr. B. Thank you guys.
Seems like the last time you hauled manure it was soup and now it it dust
Gotta Love Farmin
From what I've seen on another channel I think you will love the new spreader. Man I hope yall get some moisture soon!
Weird Eric, Song of the Day, from ZZ Top, She's Got Legs: "We've got pooh ... and we know how to spread it. We've got poo, ooh, ooh ooh ... beatin' it vertical." Or maybe adapt Bob Dylan's "Blowin in the wind"
Man. 3 years ago I planted my wheat in September.. perfect.
Last year. October 1st. Eh okay.
This year. I finally got 1 inch rain. The last rain I got was in May... so I just planted yesterday and I'm hoping I get a good germinate
Great job scraping Cole
Those Heffords seem to move a lot faster than the Angus
Good outro... sneaky guys!
Cole, I would like to preface my comment by saying I love your content, your channel is my most favorite farm you tube channel. Your relationship with your father is amazing, I wished I had the same. Congrats on your upcoming wedding, you both are lucky to have found each other. But for goodness sakes, stop wearing Tiffany’s pants if you guys want to have kids. Let the boys have room to play. It looks awkward to move and I am not even wearing those pants 😉🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I like most of your comment! 😂
Great video 👍😄👍
Your added birthday wisdom shows
Could you possibly use the wind to your advantage. Start from the farthest end and let the wind spread on the field as well as the spreader doing its job. It's an idea. Have a great week.
Little change of colour those 2, nifty machine you got, and safe a lot of feed now the red ones are gone, thanks and greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
You had a crappy day today but somebody has to do it.
Awesome video I'm watching this backwards do to the RUclips algorithm I already saw the Herefords delivered to there new home lol and there new you tube channel I was wondering when you were going to post it .. watching the new spreader work was way cool to ..
If I may ask where did the Red beauties go men, just curious how far they might have gone? That spreader will sure beat up the corn stalks bedding. Thanks men !
those are some good-looking Herefords.
Thankyou. Yes they are good quality.
♥️♥️❣️❣️
You didn’t say fwhy you were selling the Herford’s so I can only assume it was just for the market along with the drought affecting the feed cost.
Can’t blame you there… Each person has to make your own decision on what is right and how much they can take financially. It’s time this drought gets over with and we get back to some normalcy for the Midwest❣️
That new manure spreader sure was “interesting” to say the least! It was hard to see how it really works with all the wind so I’m going to hold any real comment until after I see it working again on a non-windy day. If it works is nice is it you guys have been led to believe, and will be able to see it next Spring when it’s not so windy.
Cole, I want to wish you and your fiancé the best of luck and a wonderful wedding. You guys deserve much happiness and I know you would make it on the beautiful couple list if they had such a thhing but not just because of your luxe but because of your yywonderful personalities & joyful Spirit
Hi Vickie, I just wanted you to know that my intention all along was to get the herefords bred and sell them. I dont have pasture for them and need what I have for my angus herd. It was speculation on my part that I could get them bred and make some money on them. I think it worked pretty good.
Haha, Man that was one Halloween themed opening, like something right out of horror movie.
Would it be beneficial to lightly hose down the pen before scraping/cleaning to keep so much poo dust down... also for spreading? Also, what is the most satisfying critter/field job on the farm? I imagine that freshly cleaned pen ought to give you some satisfaction! Like a freshly mowed lawn. 🙂
Sad to see the main group of Hereford's go, I was excited to see the Baldies being born.
I was surprised when you bought that last spreader that you didn't go with vertical beaters. Much better in different aspects.
OMG, put some grease on those gate hinges. The sound was like fingernails scrapping a blackboard.
Gonna miss the herfords
WOW you just cant beet the sound of a good JohnDeere, Great Video Cole
Great job keep up the good work I’m glad to see them Hartford is there
Cole, where we live once the late fall winds start blowing, it is blowing until the end of May. So. you may have to wait to spread that manure on a "less windy" day. You should know how often you have those days, but spreading like the first day (you showed in the video) it was a waste of time and effort and diesel. Along with having so much of it blow to the next State! Have some patience and get a good spreading done on that calm day or days. I love Herefords from years ago and watching you sending them packing, they seemed less difficult to load than the Angus (maybe you edited out the difficult moments), so that is something to remember if it is accurate that they were more agreeable animals to move around from corral to corral....
Hi friends cool machine have a day love from TEXAS
Moisture will help with the spreading, nice piece of equipment, reminded me of the 300 bushel spreader I had way back when I was a younger.
Cole watch 10th Generation Dairyman and also, Satchdutchkid they both have vertical manure spreaders they use. Maybe that would help with figuring it out.
Hey guys! I'm kinda sad to see the Herefords leave but that's the process of raising beef, Im glad you saved a couple of good uns for breeding.
The new spreader is a good bit of kit, its a lot bigger so you are going to get a lot more floff and a whole load more stank in that one.
Frosty.
Darn, I hate to see the Herefords leave! I wish you'd kept a couple and put one of those Sonne Farms prize bulls on em. Oh well! Guess I spoke too soon!! Thanks!
What a machine, seems like that is worth it.
Mighty fine steaks!!
Try dryer sheets vesser just did a video on it
Thats cool i was wanting to see what those claves would look like. You got to watch out for that poop in the eye hole, you could get a crappy infection.
That is an amazing spreader! Thanks for another great video!
having had a little poop down the neck in an open tractor i'm liking that gate .and not doing it at 20 below f too
All the time that I have been a subscriber to your channel I didn’t realize yal had another Farmall tractor on the place - that’s good 😊
GOOD THING that camera don't have SMELL A VISION on that manure spreader lol
There goes the free Black Baldy ribeye's & porter house's for everyone.
....very nice 👍🏻
Hope you made good money on the Herfords. I think you’re going to really like the new spreader! Need to put some grease on those gate hinges! The sound is going to stress your animals.
awsome video cole thumbs up and shared
That dang gate almost plays a tune lol
Where I live the older homes are surrounded by trees as windbreaks, the new homes haven't learned yet.
The Homestead Act allowed extra land if you planted trees.
@@michaelleinen8024 My observations and attempt at humor appear to have missed all marks.
Why did the herefords go bye bye? I thought you were going to diversify. Great video Cole.
He bought them to cross with Angus and sell.as pregnant heifers.
