  • Walt Disney: One Man's Dream is an interactive gallery located on Mickey Avenue in Disney's Hollywood Studios. The attraction includes an inspiring 15-minute film of Walt Disney's life that explores the extraordinary hardships he overcame, as well as previously unseen footage and Walt talking about his creation, Mickey Mouse.
Relive the life and times, the trials and tribulations of a creative visionary, utilizing rare audio recordings. Listen to Walt recount his story over historic film footage and home movies never before made available to the public. Discover how a hardworking dreamer touched the lives of so many around the globe.
The One Man's Dream film was originally hosted by Michael Eisner, but after Eisner stepped down as CEO of the Walt Disney Company, Disney Legend Julie Andrews narrated the film. It opened on October 1, 2001 for Walt Disney World's 100 Years of Magic celebration.
Conveniently playing in the theater at the back of the exhibition gallery, the One Man's Dream movie screens every 15 minutes continuously throughout the day. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

We can certainly relate; Walt Disney has always been a source of inspiration for us as well. It's great to hear you're part of the cast. WDW is our number one vacation destination, thanks in large part to the incredible cast members.

I saw this film when my mom, brother, and I walked into the attraction. It’s great to hear Walt’s history from his own lips. It’s quite an inspiration. He’s my hero.

I have been diagnosed with Autism since I was 2, and Walt Disney had been (and still is today) my number one inspirational idol. The same way of how Abraham Lincoln was Walt’s Idol.

I worked at the great movie ride for a year on the DCP. Most cast members will tell you, when they have had a rough day or just need a pick me up, walking through one man’s dream was perfect. Just drinking in the history and REALLY remembering why we do what we do❤ we create MAGIC

Thank you Walt. You are such an inspiration. I am proud to have said I had the honor to work at Walt Disney world. I just wish I could have met Walt. Just a few generations late.

I asked one of the Cast Members for this why there hadn't been a full-fledged biopic for Walt. (This was in 2006, before Saving Mr. Banks, and even that wasn't a Walt biopic in the strictest sense of the word.) They shrugged: "Walt was a very private man."

    • @WackyWeazle

Well, that's an interesting reply they gave you. A full-fledged biopic or tv-series is definitely long overdue.

Indeed, so sad. If only he didn't feel pressured to start smoking in order to appear older/more mature.

@@WackyWeazle If time machines I’m going back in to prevent Walt Disney from smoking and hopefully he doesn’t pass away until somewhere passed the age 100.
