I really like how they added the “valid at 4:00pm” box! These videos can be shared far and wide and things can change rapidly and without the time then people think it’s all good for their area but it’s not current. Also-they are predicting this goes to an area of Florida that has been hit the LEAST by storms in the past, so based on the past patterns, it’s probable it will NOT hit in that exact area and continue to move west or east based on 150 yrs or so of tracking . For some reason there are certain areas of Florida that have been nearly free from direct hits : Tampa, Jacksonville, Appalachicola, and there’s legends, especially about Tampa, being free from a terrible direct hurricane hit, because it was protected by Native American tribes that took measures to protect the land with special blessings. who knows! Either way, it is fascinating to study that there are areas that get hit constantly and others that are nearly free from direct hits. Is it possible the land was protected by the Native Americans thousands of years ago? The Calusa area of Florida and the Tequesta area tribes have had the most significant impacts. 🤷🏼♀️
Interesting seeing that 2 of the models show that me and my family and friends are directly under the path even tho it's 16.7% possible. Thanks for the extra info.
Moving kinda like hurricane beryl right now! I say to prepare from new orleans, la to tampa, fl for any possible impacts just in case. Man, the gulf of mexico can make these storms change paths VERY FAST!!

@nickawilliams5175 i'm from saint gabriel, la. I live in the houston, tx greater metro now though. We got hit by category 1 hurricane beryl in the houston metro, the dirty/east side of the storm. WORST CATEGORY ONE I'VE EVER BEEN THROUGH, NEVER SEEN SO MANY DAMAGED HOUSES & SNAPPED/UPROOTED OAK TREES/BRANCES AFTER A STORM 😳😢😢!!
Speak for yourself! Weather forecasters have gotten a lot better and forecasting storm tracks over the years and this track is likely fairly accurate although there may be subtle changes in the track that would be impossible for anyone to pin down too far in advance. The spaghetti models all come from the National Hurricane Center that uses a super computer to model storm tracks. Often the European center data is also released for the bigger more threatening storms.

1st Time seeing Ms. Cranford-She possesses a appealing and professional presence and obvious creds, I hope she goes far.

That's why they call them forecasters instead of masters.

What makes you say that? Even if that's the case, it doesn't make much difference to my joke anyway.
