I wish more people would put that simple bit of info out there when talking about progression, "Take it bit by bit and don't advance to bigger stuff if you don't feel comfortable on the smaller stuff". So many people go out and try to send it off the big jumps before understanding basic in air control concepts on the smaller stuff.
I wish I could learn to jump but at 68 y/o I am just happy to be out there riding the trails. I had a really bad accident last year and am still recovering so my motto is now "live to ride another day". My wheels don't leave the ground.........
Nothing wrong with that at all! At least you’re riding!
What type of accident did you have and do you feel comfortable riding. I broke both bones to my left forearm a few years back and haven’t ridden since. My new bike should be here on Monday hopefully I can still ride like I use to.
@@LifewithDimeji I sprained my thumb and got really bad road rash from the dirt. I still feel pretty comfortable but I don’t take as many risks as I used to now
the Roscoe is very forgiving. Its a great bike to 'learn' on.
Safety first I love it!
Rocking the Roscoe! #TeamRoscoe 🤣 Live stream was rad, i think once a month would be a good start. Once a week might burn you out. Your call though. Good stuff as always
I like your attitude sir! Good vids!
I'm working on building my confidence on drops right now. I will move to jumps soon!
That’s funny that you say that because I can just get right back into jumps after not doing them for awhile but I can’t say the same about drops. It’s like I have to regain my confidence all over again
You guys have the best parks out there, super jealous. I think a weekly livestream might be a bit much, maybe monthly if you don't want to drive yourself nuts and keep good attendance!
Haha my gf said the same thing that it might be a bit much.
Really impressive!
Matty love the videos! Becoming one of my favorite RUclips channels. What oakleys do you rock?
Nice video man! I’m learning on some small jumps now. Taking it easy one step at a time
I almost killed myself the first time I tried to learn jumping (no friends who bike, so I got in over my head and was seriously injured), and I've just been afraid to go back and try again. Hopefully this summer I'll have another go.
Great video! Wish I could jump like that!
I absolutely love that bike park!! I've only been there twice but ended up going down those small and medium lines and they're perfect to learn, even on my cheap bike. Maybe I'll run into you there! Keep up the awesome videos!
Yeah man! I need to make a Colorado trip.
Hit that wall, yo! 🤘🏾😃
If you ever do let me know so we can go shred some places!
@@MattyActive Yew! If you're ever coming to SoCal, let's rip!
I'm going to my first bike park in a couple weeks and I can't wait. Excellent video as always Matty I like the editing
Man I need to get back to Valmont. Looking good dude.
You should try makeing a video trying skiing or snowboarding in the snow and a video road bikeing. Keep up the great videos they are so fun to whach
Nice video, i do downhill on a regular basis but for some reasons im still afraid to jump haha. Cheers
Oh damn. I've got a Roscoe 7 and can't jump. Time to take notes.
Wall rides scare me too. Nice video and congrats on 10,000
Thank you Tom!!
I’ve contemplated selling the Roscoe many times, thing is it’s just such a versatile Bike, The more I ride it the more I love it. It’s on its third season now 🦾
I am looking to get a Roscoe 7 and was wondering what are the big differences to consider when choosing a 27.5 vs 29? I'll be doing some small jumps but mostly trail riding
I’m way too scared to jump and do drops, with that same Roscoe 7. I’m even just scared of going fast, so that’s not helping. My trail center has a very short jump line with some smaller jumps, but I’m afraid I’ll land wrong and hurt myself.
I definitely wouldn’t rush it no matter how long it takes to progress. Just practice as much as you can and it’ll come eventually!
@@MattyActive I've been riding for two years and I'm not progressing that much, I guess I just don't know how to start. I checked a lot of RUclips videos, but I'm having trouble doing the same stuff once I'm on the trails.
Hey Matty it seems like my Roscoe 7 front shock is not stiff enough! Can you add air to make it stiffer?
Yes you can
Where on the gears are you during wheelies?
I just moved to loveland, so this isn't far from me. Are there any wooded trails that you would recommend in this area?
Nice! I don’t know any trails in that area honestly, I’ve never ridden anywhere up north but I definitely plan to this summer. You should also check out Erie Singletrack track if you haven’t been there before
LETS GOOOOO
Do you still manual when you hit those jumps? I can do small jumps but big jumps i still dont have the confidence to do it. I dpnt know if i still need to manual.
No you don’t need to manual, I don’t think you need to if you don’t want to.
Hey little question what is manual ?
@@masterjack8222 pretty much a wheelie without pedaling using your body to balance and keep the front wheel up. My best explanation lol I would google how to manual a bike
I just thought that u will nose dive of u dont pull the bars. Ok then thanks Matty
@@hoopman05 Oh yea you definitely want pull up but not too much
what year is your roscoe 7?
2021
I learned to jump from Rich Drew as I did not want to kill myself.
I'd feel more confident on 29's though.
I’m gonna try a 29” next time, I’ve actually never taken a 29 to that park
yo im in Boulder.. born n bread 29 years. Hit me up if you want to cold plunge, rip mtb and get fucking shredded on some jungle herbs. Lets crush dawg
