They screwed up here. If the cops come to your house to execute a warrant, then they must show you that they actually have a warrant. In that way, you can refuse the cops entry until they present you with the written warrant. If the cops “say” they have a warrant when none actually exists, then that is illegal.

Someone please explain to me why a law officer doesn't have to present a physical copy of a warrant to enter a private domicile. I'm all about law and order, but I'm VERY confused about how a police officer can say they have a warrant to enter and then refuse to produce said warrant. So? Some chump knocks on my door, saying he has a warrant, refuses to produce a warrant and I'm just supposed to say OK or get whooped? I don't think that is OK. Officer should have to present physical warrant.
