Big delay on this one due to graphical issues. I had to tone down the explosions on the plane so the sprites wouldn't break. CrzChris4 will work on alternatives to this fix, but this'll work for now. This new custom level uses Runway as a base and expands upon it, I really enjoy when custom levels do this kind of thing. Hope you enjoy it as well!

I loved this edited level, now we know what's behind the brown door on the runway hahahahah. It looks like it will be a new campaign for GoldenEye. Seeing the possibilities of the level editor, I wonder what we will achieve with decompilation.

Seeing these are so awesome! Goldeneye of all games has reach Skyrim levels of modding I guess? This and Yet to Come gives HUGE Metal Gear vibes and kind of makes me wonder if MGS games can be made into Goldeneye modded levels lol 🤣
Also a more movie accurate Goldeneye modded level conversion would be sweet and quite ambitious

- how can I disable the LOD system for GoldenEye in 1964?
- how can I enable a normal mipmapping (not the harsh N64 simulated one)?
To disable LODs in GoldenEye you must patch the ROM with an specific IPS patch, I'm not sure if it's on the N64 Vault or Discord. If you need it I can share it through DM on Twitter or Discord.
As for the mipmaps, using GLideN64 default settings from the 1964 bundle should be enough. Disable N64 mipmaps and see if it works.
I figured this is the best person to ask.
Have you tried the new 8bitdo HAL analog stick with goldeneye and PD?
its supposed to be by far the best replacement next to stellsticks.
The best alternative to SteelSticks64 is Oudini Stick. There's also BrewStix but can't say much on it as I've never had one. As for 8bitdo's Hall Effect replacements, range tests online show that it's not accurate to OEM. It's GameCube style so the gate is different and the range is wider, making it too sensitive for GE and PD most likely.

@@Ridley1911 Oh that's very nice, that video didn't exist last time I checked them out. That's good, but I'll stick to the OEM design - I love the resistance the taller stick offers.
The 8bitdo stick uses a default xbox/playstation pole, so you can attach a taller stick cap and place gamefreaks on it, all my oem sticks have their bowls grinded down@@Graslu00

Not really. Not a product for me, I already have UltraHDMI on my N64 so it works flawlessly on my 4K display. EverDrive-64 too so I have all the games and mods I want. The controller they offer doesn't look promising either.
Why not just use Runway music?

Nice level. That pilot was terrible! You don't have a conversation with ATC you just say "going around" and fly the runway heading until they give you a vector.

I loved all the assets from Surface, Runway, and Dam to make this level a cool mission. Also liked the Bond easter eggs peppered throughout, especially the Roger Moore picture

this is not just a simple level reskin,the creator apparently put a lot of effort into creating this level 🎉
Hey fam, my 8bitdo stick arrived, it registers 80 in all axis, so the sensitivity is 1:1 to an oem stick, diagonals are fine too, good steppings, nearly no deadzone.
However, it uses a stickbox similar to the ones found in xbox 360 sticks (the potentiometers are HAL effect, the physical stickbox where the analog cap pivots is very similar to one found in x360 pads), this means the stick itself is a bit too springy, it feels good to play everything, but for PD using 1:2 controls i HIGHLY recommend getting a controlfreak (its compatible) or another cap for the stickbox with a taller stick for precision aiming (also compatible since the stick where the cap goes is the same as xbox/playstation)
I also highly recommend lubing up the physical stickbox with silicon grease as i did with mine for better smoothness.
If you ever get one of these, i would like to see some PD gameplay with it.
Good to hear you're enjoying it. Seems like my worry about the stick length and resistance was true, I'd try to buy one but last time I checked they weren't shipping to Europe from their providers.
Aliexpress, if they ship to brazil, i can't belive they wouldn't ship to EU, i played all day with it today, if you play GE and PD in 1.1 with manual aiming that thing feels amazing even without using a kontrol freak or replacing the stick cap, i tried putting in an old ps3 cap but the lower part of it was grinding against the shell, so we need a control freak or a stick cap with the same lower profile in the circular potion but a tall post.@@Graslu00

You can do that with an EverDrive-64. 90% of GE mods are compatible.
