I personally took the time to look up and read in my Quran every verse about Salat using its Index and choose every relevant verse about this subject.
    1) what does salat mean? Salat means making contact or communication with someone, usually referring to the believer making contact with God but in verses like Quran 33:56 "God and His angels make contact (salat) with the prophet. O you who believe, you shall make contact with him, and comply completely."
Some Christians on RUclips have used this verse to imply that God prayed to Muhammad but when Salat is translated as making contact instead of prayer it makes sense and there is no issue.
Here is another verse about salat
Quran 2:43 "And hold the contact prayer, (salat) and contribute towards purification, and kneel with those who kneel. So if this verse is translated to English the same as it is in Quran 33:56 that I previously stated, rather than Salat being translated as "contact prayer" it should be just translated as "contact" so Quran 2:43 would then say "And hold the contact, and contribute towards purification, and kneel with those who kneel."
So to summarise I'm saying that Salat judging by the Quran means to contact/communicate with God but also that both God and the Angels contacted/communicated with Muhammad.
    2) times and positions of Salat -
The Quran at the same time as talking about Salat (making contact or communication with God that people usually use the word prayer to describe) also mentions either specific parts of the day or specific positions that people contact/communicate/talk to God in, for example Quran 2:238 "Maintain the contact prayers; and the middle contact prayer; and stand for God dutifully."
In this verse its saying to maintain our communication/contact with God and mentions the middle contact prayer which is most likely referring to it being in the middle of the day (midday).
Another example of making contact with God while standing is in
Quran 3:39 So the angels called to him while he was standing, making contact in the temple enclosure: "God gives you glad tidings of John, authenticating the word from God, and a master, and steadfast, and a prophet from the upright."
In that verse the angels spoke to Zachariah while he was in a temple speaking/contacting/communicating/praying to God while he was standing.
Again another verse about contacting God while standing is in Quran 4:142 "The hypocrites seek to deceive God, while He is deceiving them; and if they stand to make the contact prayer, they do so lazily, only to show the people; they do not remember God except very little."
Quran Verse stating exactly how to do ablutions before your contact/communication. 1 - before you start the morning Salat and 2 - for other specific reasons such as if you have had intercourse or used the toilet before Salat.
Quran 5:6 "O you who believe, if you rise to hold the contact prayer, then wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles; and if you have had intercourse, then you shall purify. And if you are ill, or travelling, or you have excreted feces, or you have had sexual contact with the women, and you cannot find water, then you shall select from the clean soil; you shall wipe your faces and your hands with it. God does not want to place any hardship on you, but He wants to cleanse you and to complete His blessings upon you that you may be thankful."
Earlier I shown in Quran 2:43 it mentioned kneeling with those that kneel reffering to people that communicate/contact God on their knees, here's another verse on kneeling,
Quran 5:55 "For your supporter are God and his messenger and those who believe; they hold the contact prayer and contribute towards purification, and they kneel."
Another verse about the times of day being mentioned with making contact with God - Quran 11:114 "And hold the contact prayer at two parts of the day, and the near part of the night. The good deeds take away the bad. This is a reminder to those who remember."
So this verse mentions two parts of the day, which two parts does it mean you might be thinking? It means when we get up in the morning as stated in Quran 5:6 and in the middle part of the day as stated in Quran 2:238. And in Quran 11:114 it says those who hold the contact prayer (salat) at the near part of the night, that would refer to the last part of the daytime which is sunset when the sun is going down. So three major points of the day, the morning/sun rise, the noon/midday and the evening as its turning into night/sun set.
Again a verse stating points of the day to make contact, Quran 17:78 "Hold the contact prayer till the setting of the sun; to the murkiness of the night; and the Quran at dawn - the Quran at dawn is witnessed."
So again this verse mentions two of previously mentioned points of the day that was mentioned in verse Quran 11:114. Quran 17:78 mentions 1) "from the setting of the sun; to the murkiness of the night" describing the duration (how long) to do the sunset Salat for, sunset until it turns to night 2) at dawn (sunrise).
So ive now shown using Quran verses both what Salat means and it describing what points of the day to do it, describing how to do a spiritual cleanse/ablution before morning contact, and mentioning different positions people have done it in such as standing and kneeling. There is also another verse I haven't written that mentions prostration and also the Quran describes for us in a verse I have not written to talk not too loud and not too quiet, in a middle tone.
more verses to help you understand Salat -
In Quran 19:31 it says "And He has made me blessed wherever I am, and He has charged me with the contact prayer (salat) and the purification as long as I am alive"
In this verse Jesus/Yeshua is saying that he has been charged with making contact/Salat, that was before Muhammad, the Quran and the hadith's even existed so to think salat is the exact organised prayer with repeated movements in a specific order with specific words being said I think is wrong because Jesus/Yeshua would not have prayed in those exact movements in that exact order and he wouldn't have mentioned the same things in prayer for example a Sunni mentioning Muhammad. Jesus would have made salat/contact in any way he chose such as in the Bible when he spoke of what's now called "the Lords prayer" and when he "fell upon his face" it doesn't say he done the same prayer and same movements every day several times a day. So Jesus doing Salat is not the same as what a Sunni thinks Salat is.
Here's a verse from the Quran talking about birds making Salat,
Quran 24:41 "Do you not see that everything in the heavens and the Earth glorifies God? Even the birds in formation, each knows its contact prayer (salat) and its glorification. And God is fully aware of everything they do."
So in that verse the birds know its contact/communication/salat with God and its glorification. Which again shows that a Sunni trying to claim salat is their organised prayer stated by the religion of Sunni Islam is wrong.
In Quran 33:43 it says that God along with the angels makes salat/contact with the believers, showing again that salat is not the sunni prayer its communication/contact, let's read the verse but with context,
Quran 33:41-43 "O you who believe, you shall remember God frequently. And glorify Him morning and evening. He is the One who makes contact (salat) with you, along with His angels, to bring you out of the darkness and into the light. And He is ever Merciful towards the believers."
The purpose of making contact with God is stated in Quran 87:14-15 where it says "Whoever purifies will succeed. And remembers the name of his Lord, so he makes the contact."
It says in Quran 107:4-5 "So woe to those who make the contact prayer, who are towards their contact prayer absent minded."
If you pray the Sunni hadith organised repetition prayer that is what it will become, just a set routine you perform 5 times a day every day with always the same actions in the same order with the same things always being said then you will become absent minded just doing without thinking.
So to conclude the Quran makes clear that Salat is contact/communication from us to God or from God and the Angels to Muhammad or from God along with the angels to the believers and that both Yeshua/Jesus and even the birds also made/make Salat and the Quran states to hold Salat at the 3 points of the day, in a voice that is neither too loud or too quiet, that can be done in any position chosen whether its standing, kneeling, prostrating and for it to be about the remembrance of God and mentions the ablution at the dawn prayer and also describes to do it if you had recently had intercourse or excreted feces. It makes clear for you every detail accept word for word what to say and why is that, because God doesn't want absent minded repetitions, He wants us to communicate with him in sincerity, in other words what we say in our salat is up to every individual to decide as long as its only glorifying Him and nobody else, no other Gods and no idols. Just like the "lords prayer" from Jesus is dedicated to the Father/God alone so should ours be.
This video (part 2) I didn't agree with because he's saying there are 5 times of Salat in the Quran and I personally only believe it describes 3 times, the major points of the day sunrise, midday, sunset.

I really love your video but I disagree with some concepts or conclusions,
    1. Only 3 Salats mentioned by name in the Quran.
2 are mentioned in Q24v58 and 1 in Q2v138. namely Fajir, Ishai, Wustah.
Fajir is observed at Dawn before Sunrise, Ishai in thee evening start from the declining of the sun and extend to when night shows up, this corresponds to 2 Verses of the Quran Chapter 11v114 & Chapter 17v78
    17V78
Observe the prayer from the DECLINE of the sun UNTIL THE DARKNESS OF THE NIGHT (1) and the DAWN PRAYER (2), for certainly the dawn prayer is witnessed.
    11v114
Establish prayer at BOTH ENDS of the day ( 1 & 2 ) and in the EARLY PART OF THE NIGHT (3) Surely good deeds wipe out evil deeds. That is a reminder for the mindful.
Salat is clearly mentioned in those 2 verses. Celebrate the praises of your lord as USED in Quran 20v130 is not equal to Salat.
Contact Prayers from Quran are 3.
Zhur, Asri, Magrib never mentioned in the Quran as Salat.
5 daily Salat originated from Hadith in relation to the night Journey of the prophet to heaven, where there was back and forth between Musa and Allah, advising God to reduce the number of Salat, which we all agree that it's not a true.story.
Call to prayer is not in the Quran, but not something bad if words from Quran is used as you tightly said.
Only the name of Allah is correct be used during Salat, Allahu Akbar is not correct as Akbar is not part of names of Allah .
Q7v180, Allah has the Most Beautiful Names. So call upon Him by them,
Q87v15 ....And mentions the name of His Lord and pray
Al-kabir is better it is one of the name of Allah ' Allah Al-kabir" is what I use in my salat.
I am not doing this to contend or argue, its an understanding based on observing the Quran, The purity of the Deen has been corrupted for centuries and I strongly believe its going to be a lot of work for we that believe in Quran alone to come together and ponder over the Quran to come into an agreement over some matters under the guidance of the spirit of Allah (SWT).
    Salam.

Brother u already innovated additional prayers and wudu using the Qur'an. As the Qur'an is fully detailed, it speaks of 3 salah by name : Salatul Fajr, Salatul Vustha & Salatul Isha. There is no mention of Salatul Zuhr and Salatul Asr. Verse 11:114 speaks of 2 adjectives, hence the meaning : observe salat during the parts of the night that are near the 2 ends of the day. The verse about before sunrise and sunset is speaking about glorifying Allah, not Salah.
Qur'an says Youmil Jumuah, means on Friday. It didn't mention Salatul Jumuah. This concludes that it's the Wusta Salat being performed in congregation on Friday.
In the case of Wudu, Qur'an clearly says that wash ur face and arms till elbow, then wipe ur head and feet till ankles. Qur'an didn't say to wash ur feet till ankles.
And Qur'an didn't speak about adhan. As these hadiths are in our head, don't mix it with Qur'an

Please see part 1 of the Salat series to get a clear picture of Al Salat. Al Salat was not introduced through the Quran. It existed before it and was part of the Millat of Ibrahim. The Quran is simply a reminder/confirmation of the Salat that was given to Abraham. This is the fundamental mistake "Quranists" and even Traditionalists are making. They believe Quran is a book given to Muhammad to teach Salat.

This bayth or house is called a source of guidance by God where in revelations from him exist/ preserved . Read verses 3:95-97 please. So instead of providing a step by step description the Quran explains the salat by directing us to the point /place where the practice exists and is presented by God . The problem is that most Quran aloners like the traditional Muslims are looking for a step by step description of Salat but who said that is the only way a practice can be explained or taught ? 🤷 . Think about this, if we wish to learn karate , we can either directly learn it from a person or the person can choose to direct us to a training center where karate is being taught for years. Quran aloners , like traditionalists are fixated on the step by step explanation of the salat and when they don't find it in the Quran , they reinterpret the word itself creating contradictions through out the Quran while traditionalists abandon the Quran and go to hadiths . Gone through both of your videos on Salat. There appears to be many contradictions and confusion and you have just cited Rashad Khalifa in your videos. What is the proof that whatever he is saying is true? Where is the proof of Azaan advocated by him? Concept of Rakat and what to be recited in these Rakat? Should verses other than Surah Al-Fatiha can be recited? ( By the way, Mr.Khalifa is a very known personality????).
If this is Abrahamic Tradition, Why is this not being followed by other religions, like Christianity and Judaism?
In 24:41, what Salat the birds are performing? In 11:87, aren't the people of Shuaib AS exhibiting a mindset or complaining just about the Contact Salat? In 19:59, what Salat was abandoned? Is the present Salat stopping us from Evil deeds, according to 29:45? How about the Salat in the present day war, to be performed by half of the army (4:102)? Is it possible to leave the safe places in war and perform Salat?
On the contrary when Salat means adherence to the Quranic laws and injunctions makes perfect sense. These were Quranic sessions where the verses of the Quran were learnt and rehearsed. When the Quran talks about Salat and Zakat, as in 22:41, it is talking about the grand socio-economic system which is the hallmark of this Deen.
Look at the predicament pf Muslims everywhere in the world. Majority does not study Quran and whosoever does so does only for Sawab without understanding it. Then the traditions and Hadith make the task even more difficult.
Even today, if we ponder over the verses of the Quran, establish the system of Deen by adhering to the injunctions/ guideline of the Quran , the situation could be reversed. Hence, I will request you not to advocate the Salat corrupted by the parallel religion of Islam, immediately after the 4 Khulfa e Rashideen, but profess the true Salat in its true meaning and spirit.

There is no confusion or contradiction. Clear verses were cited in the videos. If you can provide a better explanation for 3:95-97. Please bring forth your interpretation.
The proof is the Quranic verses cited in the videos. And yes, in the Quran alone circles and even in the Traditional Islamic world , Dr. Rashad Khalifa was and still is a well known personality.
//In 24:41, what Salat the birds are performing? //
This question tells me that you lack basic understanding of the Arabic language. Do you know the difference between Aqeemu Al-Salat and salat ? You also dont understand how languages work. Let me ask you if both these statements mean the same . " Please feed the data in the computer" , "Please feed the child ".
In both statements the word "feed" can be seen but when put into practice they are totally different. Why ? because in one statement the subject is computer and in the other it is a human child. Likewise, the salat of the birds IS NOT the same as the Al-salat of the human being. I wont even bother with the rest of your objections. Peace.

As I'm liberated feom Thierry claims of the hadith being necessary I'm realizing from all kf you too that you're reading into some of the words in the Quran too literally. Arabic is my mother tongue and a9imou aslat just means start the prayer. The i9ama here has nothing to do with standing. It's like when saying turn the TV on. It doesn't mean to turn the TV in circles, it just means to start it. There is no doubt tha the Salat is infact what Muslims do . To stand, bow and prostrate it's not to just remember and praise Allah but it is infact to do a ritual worship. Mayne some things have been added to that salat that have no bases in the Quran but as to saying Allah akbar as a start is just common sense, to read al fatiha and some other sura is definitely mentioned in the Quran. To kneel and praise Allah and then prostrate. Idk about saying the Salam to the angels left and right when you are done but I don't see a problem in that.nas you are already done praying and we all know Allah has angels watching us. Let's no so completely mistrust 1400 years of Muslims. Sure those hadiths are full of crap but there's no way that Muslims pray the way they did is not in accordance. Idk.. I'm still confused between both if you. It is mentioned only 3 prayers but thayvall maybe prayer window.

The Verse you quoted only prohibits supplication to other that Allah during prayer. When you say Tashahud and you make Salam on the prophet you are only supplicating to Allah to bestow his mercy upon the prophet and the righteous servants. You are not calling other than Allah. The additional supplications that are traditionally performed by the Muslim masses are taught to us by the Program and his companions. The prophet is inspired by Allah and Allah commanded us in the Quran to follow his practices and obey his commands. So when we say these prayers we are obeying Allah in doing so. Please, do not try to corrupt the religion of Allah and lead people away from Allahs teachings to the Prophet.

The Quran says it’s clear but I’ve never seen any 2 Quran only followers come up with the same conclusion about Salah after reading from the Quran. The only explanation that more than one person says is “following closely” which most people just parrot off one another and not actually study themselves.
This is a problem that everyone is coming up with their own version of Salah.
For me in short I’ve found that Salah is the action of reciting the words of God upon the people (or yourself) and doing an act of submission to those words by prostrating/bowing. This is Salah in its simplest form that I found in the Quran and everything other than this is an add on.

Salah existed before the Quran and so the Quran was never revealed to teach us Salat. As long as the so called Quranists are in denial of this fact, they will end up with different versions of their own tailor made salat. The practice of Salat was never meant to be learned off of a book. It was first established at the Sacred shrine by Ibrahim and then reinstated by Muhammad who was given the "zikr" of which God guarantees preservation. So the practice of Salah is to be understood as intact even today and traceable via the verses of the Quran.
