  • The title of the most powerful Audi Q5 doesn't go to the SQ5, instead it goes to the Q5 PHEV...but it misses out on being the quickest thanks to those batteries weighing it down.

I have to admit I’m not a great fan of Audi vehicles, and the hunchback design of this car isn’t attractive in my eyes. The combination of petrol and battery produces lots of power. The interior looks attractive, comfortable and well designed and the digital cockpit looks fabulous. The drive train as explained appears to work very well, as does the driving experience. The Mexican build is interesting. Many people see a car brand and assume it’s German built, but both VW and Audi build cars in Mexico and South Africa. I’m no fan of hybrids and prefer pure EV’s, but the review shows this Audi as a competent and desirable ‘luxury’ vehicle that will surely appeal to some. Thanks for showing us this car, as always and excellent review.
