Does ASD really make a difference? BMW M2

The drone has finally gotten to me and I'm looking for solutions. Modern BMWs have ASD - Active Sound Design - that pumps engine noise into the cabin and blocks bad noises. But does it make a difference when you disable it?

I have it bypassed with a harness as well as coded it off using bimmercode, BUT, still drones at 3k rpm and sometimes around 2K rpm

That’s just the exhaust man. Not ASD.

That sucks, in my m4 I have the Harmon kardon setup. I can unplug it without affecting radio etc. It's so much quieter inside the cabin!! Then again I didn't test it tho..
