- www.abchotel.ph - the funnest, coolest hotel I’ve stayed in, in the entire world, let alone the Philippines. Champagne lifestyle on a lemonade budget. Incredible rooms, insane pool parties, and it’s survived the lockdowns. Woo hoo🥳. The video was shot just before the borders reopened to tourists. By the way, started drinking in the Cabana quite early so I was also a little tipsy 🥴 filming this.

Yep, likewise. It hasn’t been a huge flood of tourists yet. A few new faces in Manila. There are very few flights on and many are filled with returning Filipinos. It’s going to take a while before it resembles 2019

WOW! Really fabulous room indeed! Love those lights too! Nothing like the suites we got in MGM, Hilton, Harrah's & Luxor! A lot more expensive too!!

Yea, they’re a bit more relaxed with filming now. There’s also a lot less people. It was busy last time as it was filled with Manila people. Now, Manila is open and fun again, they’re really relying on tourists returning.
I'm actually here in ABC now. Very few guests but the bars on Fields are open. As soon as they opened the country I flew in, ready to meet new friends as usual. Arrived on the 16th. Having made over 40 trips over the years I also like the Makati/BGC/Rustans/ Rockwell trajectory but it was completely dead so I came up here. Even the Tinder contacts were slow in responding. The ones that responded didn't even have the taxi fare to meet up.
I like your channel as it is different from the usual graybeard/retirement/social security type vlogs. Not all of us are living on 'rice and beans' as you artfully put it.
BTW I'm originally from Dublin. Can't believe how Ireland changed. Manhattan now. Not so easy to meet new female friends there. That's an understatement.

I lived in Dublin 1998-2002, and visited regularly over the years as I have family there. Dating scene was never easy. It seemed any good looking girl was in a long term relationship, and any single girl had an expectation that they didn’t have to make any effort and it was all up to the guy to impress them.
Thanks btw, glad you like the channel. I live in Makati and it’s not like the tourists have flooded back. I think it’s mostly LDRs that met on the internet and were keen to get out here asap. The locals/expats now tend to go to BGC. Different scene but it’s very lively and fun at the minute.

Yep. It’s Angeles City. They’re pretty much everywhere in the tourist areas.

Yep. I made a video of the sister hotel Fields Plaza when I stayed there last August. Really cool hotel and it’s half the price of ABC - and you still have full access to all of ABCs facilities

My go to place the last few years has been the wild orchid. The pool is another level. Strangely tho they closed it. Hopefully will open now biz on way up.
Cheers, I’ve never been in Wild Orchard. There’s a cool roof top bar in Angeles called Angelica’s. It’s a normal bar. It’s trendy, cool, nice atmosphere. AC was very quite during my last trip. The trip before was busy as many people from NCR travelled up to escape the strict lockdown
room wise, not my liking as too much stuff blankets pillows carpet.... and seems down in a basement or something.
Yea, it’s an acquired taste. I think a lot of the design is to help with soundproofing the room as it is a party hotel.

Thank goodness there’s Guineas 😄 but unfortunately there’s not here. You can buy a can in a specialist shop but that’s about it. There’s good Craft beer here. Kind of fills the gap.
