Hiya bud another thing I would do is varnish all the wood you have put in the van just to give it more added protection buddy then you won't ever get that mould back again as the varnish protects the wood ❤❤❤
I think you can now add Handyman to your title as well. You have done an amazing job so far and proved all the nay sayers wrong. In doing so you gave yourself both experience and confidence. Perhaps Alex the handy Cameraman!
For someone who hasnt done this sort of work before, id say you're not doing too bad a job, yes its not perfect, but its a massive improvement on what was there before. You are very watchable, which probably accounts for your increase in subscriber numbers. Well done young man 👏👍
Little tip for you, use masking tape before you mark your line and cut your plywood…it will give you a finer edge on the cut. Top work as always though 👍🏻
There is always something so satisfying about removing protective coverings 😎 also I usually watch more advanced types of builds, but I’m not sure why, but I look forward to seeing new videos pop up from you, and thoroughly enjoy watching your content. I think it’s nice to see a guy give something a go, not be an expert but also, not be scared to just give it a go and get stuck in, we need more and more guys like you in the world, who are not afraid to just get stuck in and try, as many have said, it’s not perfect, but you press on, and the more you try the better you’ve become, I look forward to your on going projects and I will make sure to stay subscribed. 👍👍
Omg 😱 your amazing Woow Turtle is now looking completely different … Well done you 😊 Love that you have a sponsor ❤ Not sure if you know ….to cut fine edges .. But…a handle hint …To minimize splintering, apply a strip of painter's tape / masking tape along the cut line on the side of the sheet. And the finest tooth cutting tool is best See you on the next one 😊
Alex, I discovered you first to be a fantastic cameraman, businessman, now a true handyman. Waiting for song and a dance…Keep up the great work and vlogs.
Hello. Alex!! I've been away helping a friend, so you can imagine my surprise when I returned and found major progress on Turtle!! Big, big difference from what I remember!! Congrats to you on the reno so far!! Chuck in Northern New England
Good progress Alex. It always feels special when it starts to be going as planned, Enjoying watching your vlogs. Jackery sure is a great piece of kit. Till the next one ....
I am impressed, Alex! You have accomplished so much in such a short period of time. Well done. Thanks for another enjoyable video! Looking forward to the next one!
Well done, doing great for a fine young man , With your use of all the angle brackets we may save a little bit of British steel yet ! 😂 Enjoying your work job bits too nice to see how the camera man weaves his magic .
Very good job of working your sponsorship into the surrounding content. The more seamlessly it is worked in, the less cranky the audience gets about "commercial" content. That front bit should go easily with Uncle or one of the Cousins👏😉
Alex, your van is looking great!! 👍👍. I hope, when the weather gets warmer, you plan on putting a sealer on your plywood to avoid moisture and mold in the future. 🤞 Layla is such a sweet companion always by your side! She’ll be happy when her place is in place! It won’t be long when you’ll be heading to the chateau again to film for Billy….in your new camper van!! Love from Pennsylvania 💕🌷🐻
I enjoy how you share with us. Anybody accuses you of 'waffling, they should inflict their opinion elsewhere 😃 Put those types out of their misery and kindly block them! I totally look forward to and enjoy that you take the time to share details re: your job and this project. It's like an audio syllabus on How You DIY. This is your gift to us! Actually, the banter is like listening to you think out loud sharing details of something many of us would love to do; whether it's learning How to operate a drone or re-do a van, you make it appear doable AND you stay positive! So keep ignoring the nay sayers. I share my fav life reminder....... NEVER wrestle with a pig. You both get dirty and the pig LIKES it!
Where will you put a studio area? I’m a bit surprised to see those sofas in again, or are they just there for stability until later? You will need a lot of space for actual editing and keeping all equipment for your filming ready to use and easy to get. Plus somewhere to sleep for you and the dog. It now looks more like a van for living in - not for working in
Everyone says how quickly you are doing this and I thought to myself that I don't think they realise the hours you must be putting in off camera, whether this is home or home is elsewhere.
Great job Alex. You may not have done anything like that before but you are doing great. You have it all mapped out and putting it all together. Have a great day
Are you changing the carpet? There’s end of the roll type places. Industrial strength wall to wall type stuff that will endure all the in and out as you work. You can pay to get the edges bound not sure if you need that though!
Forgot to add, take a look at a few videos regarding a tool called a pocket hole jig, have a nose and see what you think, it may help make things a little easier to make. Just an idea, nothing more 👍👍
It’s just dawned on me, with the cigarette lighter you could recharge the Jackery when you’re driving using the cigarette lighter in your camper van with a double ended cable charger. 🤔 wow.
Hey looking GOOD! I have a question for your Q and A session: While doing this project, what tips or advice did you learned from Billy and the Petherick crew that was very useful in building up your camper?
Alex! You are killing it on Turtles reno! The cabinet work in the desk area looks fantastic! 🎉👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Hiya bud another thing I would do is varnish all the wood you have put in the van just to give it more added protection buddy then you won't ever get that mould back again as the varnish protects the wood ❤❤❤
@@edwardsfamily6184 and I'd cover it in a fabric personally

Im impressed with your determination. The crew back at the Chateau have to be impressed with your achievements. Watch out Yanis Alex is coming.
Alex and Yanis with different handyman skills could be quite a team:)
Turtle is looking better and better. Keep up the hard work and you will be done in no time Alex!

There is no stopping you, Alex ! Being methodical and organised is certainly paying off !❤

I know all the people you worked with at the convent will be so delighted for you. Good job Alex
Looking at you go Alex! Your doing great! Van is looking great! Well done

Still in the Christmas spirit. It's starting look a lot like Alex's camper van 😊
Great work.

😂😂😂
You're doing a great job, Alex! Keep up the good work!♥
I think youve made great progress considering its freezing cold and wet out there. And youve got lovely family to help as well.
Very good job of working your sponsorship into the surrounding content. The more seamlessly it is worked in, the less cranky the audience gets about "commercial" content. That front bit should go easily with Uncle or one of the Cousins👏😉
Wow Alex, looks great 👍
Hi Alex from California USA what a journey it has been 👍
Wow you've got a straight eye.
Alex, you never give up, that's a very good quality. Looking good in the Van.
I'm super impressed with how it is turning out! nice job.
Looking good! I bet it smells better too in there after you got all of the rotten and moldy bits out
Alex, your van is looking great!! 👍👍. I hope, when the weather gets warmer, you plan on putting a sealer on your plywood to avoid moisture and mold in the future. 🤞 Layla is such a sweet companion always by your side! Color me extremely impressed, Alex! For someone with no experience is remodeling, you have done a bang up job. Well done.
You are doing great Alex ❤
Great job, Alex, can’t wait to see you cruising around in it!

Impressed with your review of the Jackery. Succinct and very well presented. Best wishes from Australia
Doing Great! Whatever’s not done you know Billy, Yanis and Simon will get in there 😂
Alex in van life vlogs many use a magnetic board as a back splash and then you can use it for various things!
Impressive or what? You'll be fitting indoor kitchens next. Great progress Alex. 😄

Alex, I am so impressed with the work you’re doing on that van
Loved the peel!! ❤❤ My favorite part! That looks like a great tool for your tools! Van looks great, Alex!!
Yeal looking good Alex, cant wait to see how your gonna finish the walls and ceiling
Thanks for saving the peel off 😊❤🇦🇺
If you want a shelf/drawer in the top of the cupboard you can install a shelf then use the runners from an old dishwasher to make a pullout drawer.
Great job Alex! Hello from Missouri in the USA.
Starting to look like a home😊
I have a jackery 😁
Everyone says how quickly you are doing this and I thought to myself that I don't think they realise the hours you must be putting in off camera, whether this is home or home is elsewhere.
The interior is looking brilliant. You have done such a good job.
Great job Alex. You may not have done anything like that before but you are doing great. You have it all mapped out and putting it all together. Have a great day
I knew the bag bit
I did too. I have the very same Sainsbury’s bag. 🙂🇨🇦
Good work mate, just remember your drive wont be level
Really impressive, Alex! We love our Jackery..it’s helped us many an outage💜
Been waiting for this video. It's certainly is coming on to what it was
Well you are now classed as a Handy Man Now Alex nice job xx
Hello to Lela dog. Great progress and thanks for the info on the Jackery. I’ve been thinking about buying one. You sold me!
You are doing a Fantastic job.
Use a vinyl wrap on your cabinet fronts.
Wee Lyla is never far from your side x
Great job today!!! Shaping up nicely!
Are you changing the carpet? There’s end of the roll type places. Industrial strength wall to wall type stuff that will endure all the in and out as you work. You can pay to get the edges bound not sure if you need that though!
Alex, fitting the side panels to the curve is not easy to get it right, but you did it well.
Hi Alex! Doing great in such a short time! I’m not going to be surprised if the next project is renovating a blighted structure in rural France. 😉👍❤️
Very impressive effort and results…good job done!
Campers starting to look good now Alex
You have a very keen, artistic, eye Alex. I knew it would loo so cuuute!!!
U are going to have a nice home on wheels. Stay safe and warm 😊
Will Osmo sealing wood help? Billy swears by it.
Go Alex 👍
Doing great Alex, not be long till your done.💕
wonderful job Alex, do you think you will run into trouble with the counter top up against the window and not under?
You’re doing a great job Alex! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💙
You are very talented 😊😊
And lovely work your doing x
Looking really good. 👍
Well done! Lots of progress!
Looking good! 😊
Great job Alex!!!!
well done, it will all come together fast now
Well done, Alex
You've done well! Such good progress. I do wish you had discovered a pocket hole jig as it would have been so much easier for you
Great job ❤
Before you put furniture in, you should run it through a car wash and double-check again. No water gets in. Then add furniture.
Great job, Alex!
Nice one Alex great job done x
Forgot to add, take a look at a few videos regarding a tool called a pocket hole jig, have a nose and see what you think, it may help make things a little easier to make. Just an idea, nothing more 👍👍
Excellent ❤
Good job!
Paint ??
Good Job.🏅🚚
It’s just dawned on me, with the cigarette lighter you could recharge the Jackery when you’re driving using the cigarette lighter in your camper van with a double ended cable charger. 🤔 wow.
HI Alex, did you know when you bought the van that it needed all this work? and congrats on your sponsorship.
I had no idea!
Good job Alex! Hiya Layla ❤
Hey looking GOOD! I have a question for your Q and A session: While doing this project, what tips or advice did you learned from Billy and the Petherick crew that was very useful in building up your camper?
Good question! I’ll save it!
Taking "it" out on an adventure......that`s not very friendly.😂😂😂
Looking good Alex! Is the white on the plywood an anti-mold treatment? 😄👍🏼🇺🇸
Yes!
Interesting use of a level in something that can't possibly stay level.
It’s impossible isn’t it! 😂
@@AlextheCameraman. It's a nightmare. I could suggest a Lazer level. But it's a similar outcome. Unless you use it to see how unlevel it is😂
is that a dent near the fuel cap?? (the one on the front left side of the vehicle)
i'll BUY one!!! ...... n/m i have 2. good pitch!
😂😂😂
U sure your not a joiner loving your vids and progress is amazing wish u would do mine I've got a old van needs renovation how much u charge
