@danypena9799: Unfortunately I don't have any old HMI with that firmware to try out for you. Hopefully it has that VNC capability. Thank you for subscribing to my channel.
@testaccount-p8j: I am not sure what you meant for "virtual machine" but you can test the HMI application right on FactoryTalk View ME or window station.
@@SYPHOANG Thanks for the reply. I was doing an analysis on remotely updating the panelview device but right now I do not have the device. Just wondering if there's a way to simulate the panelview device on Windows.
@@testaccount-p8j : If you don't have the actual HMI, you will need to have the software. However, if you don't have remote access to the PLC, it still will not work.
@Abid Maldonado Jacinto: The firmware must be downloaded from Rockwell website and installed to your PC before you can find it. When you are installing it, you should note where it is being installed on your PC to browse it to the right location when it is prompted. Thank you for your support to my channel.
@yaredabraha6134: I am not sure but there might be a limit on firmware for those old HMIs. Not all Allen Bradley HMI's are the same. The old/obsolete HMI hardware is just incapable of accepting the new firmware.
@yaredmoges9595: I had to deal with old HMI's for quite some times too. Although it cannot be upgraded to the latest firmware matched with the FactoryTalk View Studio, you can download the patch roll-up file from the Rockwell website and install it to your computer to allow your FactoryTalk View Studio software to create an .mer file at a lower version such as 5.0 for those old obsolete HMI's. For example, my FactoryTalk View Studio is version 13.00.00 but with that patch roll-up file installed now I can create .mer files with version as low as 5.0 for PVPlus 400/600 (320x240) HMI's. Thank you for your support to my channel.
Hi good day, I have a question. First, Is upgrading the firmware the only way to properly work .MER file created in a ver 10 FTView download to PanelView 2711P? Second, if PanelView firmware upgraded, can we still downgrade its firmware? Thank you for giving attention to this, your feedback will help me a lot.
@Johanna: 1/ Yes, upgrading HMI firmware to v10 is the only way for you to be able to download an .mer v10 to the HMI. 2/ I never tried downgrading firmware on any HMI but I really don't see any reason why you cannot do it unless the old firmware is no longer available. However, my recommendation for you is just to upgrade HMI firmware. You should not worry about downgrading the firmware back to what it was before. The reason for that is newer firmware HMI will take any mer file older version BUT older firmware HMI will NOT take a mer file newer version. Thank you for subscribing to my channel. Should you have any more questions, just let me know.
Hi. thanks for the video. is this applicable for Panelview Plus 1250 version 5.10? I want to upgrade the firmware to version 10. and also, do i need a license to do the upgrading? thank you!
@jamaica santos: I think you should be able to. The procedure should be the same for v5.10. However, I think it does require the license for the Factory Talkview Studio before you can get into Firmware Upgrade wizard. Thank you for subscribing to my channel.

Hello dear HMI model panelview plus1250 is installed on a biscuit line. We don't have a username and password. How can we access the main menu or a username and password?
@jalalabbaszade254: If a screen or a button is locked, you will not be able to access it without the right password. It's not very clear what you mean for "the main menu". However if you want to go to the HMI configuration screen only, you might want to check out the below video. ruclips.net/video/UkpAesSynQw/видео.htmlsi=G34GjI-tI2f-c0ov
