Thank you, thank you. You didn't have any annoying music, and you did a good job of explaining what you were doing. Greatly appreciate this video that you did. Thank you again.
Just got mine, didn’t come with a SD card or SD to USB thing. Bought a 32gb SD card. Followed your instructions and it works great. Thanks for review from Australia
I had this dashcam about 18 months ago & had problems with playback ,however upgraded to the class 10 micro s/d card which cured all ...good video by the way
Thank you for this nice review. I especially liked the calm way you explained everything. Also the footage was nice to see. Greetings from Charley, the Netherlands :)
VERY nice "how to". Although it was a challenge to understand you at times, (I speak American), I was able to follow the setup and spent a lot of time on this before finding this video. As you folks would say, "bravo"
I am thinking of getting one of these. May I ask how the loop system works on this, as I read you can simply leave the camera to write over the previous recordings so as to reduce messing about. Yet I wonder what a 10 min loop can achieve if the accident occurs just as the loop is about to end/begin again?
I bought this I don't think it's the best thing on the market, I want to get something a little more technologically advanced I wouldn't buy it again ..
Thanks I keep forgetting how to access the settings. For info, the Loop recording is quite useful. It enables the device to automatically overwrite the oldest video files when storage reaches capacity. This ensures that the camera continues to record without any interruptions, even when memory is full. The fact the recording splits in 5 or 10min videos is a different settings and helps find the piece of film you may be after as well as make it easier to handle if you need to send it to anyone as evidence.
@@WELLBRAN so I did some digging while my cam is charging, I found info stating you briefly press the power button, haven't tried yet as its charging via the computer, however it supports a 32gb and you can turn off looping to stop it overwriting, that may help you.
I was wondering why mine kept switching back on every couple minutes. As it seems it was on Park mode!! Thanks so much for this very informational video! :)
If you dont use 3, 5 or 10 min loop recording, as you found if the file gets corrupt you loose the whole lot, if set to shorter time you have most of everything saved on smaller files....
YOU SHOULD have been a teacher, excellent, i just spent a day recording river crossing in the outback, or I thought I had, drat!! thanks Mister, this is though an excellent camera, the highway recordings were fantastic. Mine did not come with the card, quel domage:((
Thank you this video, very helpful. My dash cam looks the same but doesn't have all the same features. I got it from Hong Kong so it must be a cheaper but almost identical looking knock off. Watch out for the location of the buttons being different to tell the cheaper versions. The tip about the USB cords being for charging only was very helpful as I couldn't get it to show videos and you clued me in on that. The cheaper version does not appear to have a park feature, a big disappointment. Lesson learned, do some research before buying.
So how does the camera shut off? When you park and turn your car off, the car's "power outlet" will still have power going to it, so why wouldn't the camera just keep on running? Does it know to shut off at some time?
I saw a Facebook ad for this camera for $30 USD. I looked around the net & found it on another site for $15 USD, so i bought 2 of the, but they didn't come with a card reader. The default language is Chinese, and the English portion of the manual was poorly translated, so it took a but of fooling around & interpreting the icons next to the menus to figure out how to change it to English. After recording a trip out & back home, I connected the camera to my desktop computer with the provided USB cable (pretty thin/flimsy) and selected the "Mass Storage" option but the computer couldn't communicate. I tried looking for device drivers, restarting the computer & a few thing. The next day I decided to swap the provided USB cable for one I had laying around that came with an old phone, and it connected perfectly so I could read the contents of the microSD card still inside the camera & retrieve the video clips. Would I recommend this camera? For $15 USD... absolutely.
***** Yeah. The quality is pretty shitty. But you get what you pay for. For $15 I didn't expect superb quality. But its good enough for a judge to determine if i'm right or wrong in an accident. Now if you want quality, you'll have to shell out upwards of $50 for a proper dash cam.
I was looking for a decent price and on Gearbest it's for 14.29 dollars www.gearbest.com/car-dvr/pp_281602.html?wid=21&lkid=10332561 Gearbest is a well known online store, so... ruclips.net/video/3i-9TPqL5LQ/видео.html
Your video is a great help, as the "user manual" leaves a lot to be desired. We have one problem. When we turn it on it says "SD Card Full". Have tried formatting, it states "Please Wait", but after 20 minutes it still says full. Any idea what I can try? Thanks in advance.
Thank you for all instructions What I would like to know is how I set it up to not be needed to format the SD card all the time, thank you and congratulations!
Good instruction, I have one of this, you said you don't use the loop mode, does that mean you need to format/delete the file everytime the card is full?
Good video, tks! Question... When camera is set in "parking mode" recording night time or at any dark parking there is a way to set it to light the flash "LED" on when sensor detected a movement? If so, how to set it? Tks!
Hi Just bought one of these and your vid helped a lot. Mine came in an unmarked box unbranded not even the GT300 for £12.73 free p+p from eBay. There seem others out there under various brand names NOVATEC, TOGUARD, STREETWISE at £43 + £2.70 p+p. and no card. Mine appears to be like yours. The instructions say the P is “Emergency Lock Button - manual lock vedio (sic) if very important. It also functions as you explain except the P is displayed in a box. Is this a dual function? Also if the loop is off does the recording fill the card then over right or just say card full and stop recording? And lastly how long does it take to fully charge the battery on a mains phone charger? Thanks Phil
I got one of these cheap at a market and finally got to testing it out a bit today for the price I paid I think it's pretty good It was mainly purchased for a " scare tactic " to prevent people from getting too close and does that job alright too
I have this camera now for about 2 weeks. I noticed this morning it said full memory so I went into playback mode and deleted all the files. It still says full memory and will not record....any idea what's wrong here?
Great video. Thank you so much! I purchased 2 of these in the US but 1 doesn't seem to work at all. The screen is split almost in half with the right side displaying a clear image,r while the left side has streaks running down it and green stripes in the middle. I can get to the Video page and the Set Up page but cannot select any options, or get back to recording when turned on. The power button will not turn it off or on. Is there a mailing address to send it for repairs?
Thanks for posting this! Just by curiosity, did you open a video file in your computer with something like VLC Media Player and go to Tools > Resolution, to check if it is indeed 1080p? It looks much better than the local one I bought from Napa. It's fake through and through. Says it's HD, when the top resolution is 480p (according to my computer). But it looks as bad as 240p (could be upconverted).
Nice but how about night time driving is it good at night as that is when you get more accidents on the road please give your opinion at night thanks Bob
Not sure how to play back the footage, put the SD card in my PC & tried to play, but it says unsupported format. I even tried converting it, but nothing worked
Would be great to have a camera with motion sensor, so I wouldn’t need to switch on and off every time I get into my car to drive, it’d automatically start. Do you know any dash cam with this feature?
Awesome video with lots of helpful info. I do need some help though. Mine didn't come with sd card. Purchased mine separate. When I put card in, says full....What? Since I needed help to locate in store, employee helped. Did I get wrong card? Says 128 gb. Class 10. I really like how easy is to use.
Does it only record the fees minutes loop than record over that every fees minutes or does it record the few minutes loop into segments for the whole video time? I understood it to be the later
Hey, great video. Thanks for it. :) I was looking to buy the camera that can record at night time from the inside of my car. Now as I understand this camera has option to switch on by itself on movement and record even if the car isn't moving. Would you say it would go on if somebody is taking windscreen wipers off? Did you maybe test it like that? So night time, not much light and somebody is trying to steal the windscreen wipers?
Sorry for what seems like a very dumb question. Just got it. Connecting the camera to the mounting device is impossible. No amount of force can 'slide' it on. There are little plastic pieces obstructing the process. I'm afraid that if I push it harder that I will break it. I haven't even gotten to the tough parts. BTW, no 4GB card with it. I paid $39.99 for one.
Thanks for the video. I am just now setting up my camera. Can't set the date. In the menu settings there is the choice of "date stamp" Yes or No. But when I click on yes there is nowhere to set the date. Please help. Thanks!
Mine did not with a separate video card USB Adapter can I kurschase those separate? Also is it OK to leave it attached on the windshield in the summer when it really hot inside?
Hi there I have one of these and it is as you say pretty good but what I can't set is it auto switching off when I switch off the ignition. Should it? or is there a setting that I should have it set at? I have it plugged in continuously to the cigarette charger. Thanks
A useful functionality reminder. Thanks. The tv mode: it's. To accommodate playback on various nationalities' tvs. UK is PAL, the USA is NTSC. The night time LED is a waste of time. Don't bother with it. For the price it's good.
I’ve been given this with no instructions.. of say you have an accident and you want to ensure you save the video.. is there a a button you press to save say the last few minutes?
I have a few questions I am hoping you can answer. I bought one of these, and so far for $20 I am pretty happy with it. However, there's a flashing icon in the bottom right corner that I haven't been able to figure out. I am also having trouble with the playback on my PC being slowed down. I can't figure out how the parking mode is supposed to work. I am also confused about how the lock/unlock function works...do you know anywhere that I can find more detailed instructions for this? Thanks!
Don't know why so many people shit on this camera. It's a fucking $12 camera, what do you expect? It's better than nothing, and if you want to be able to read a plate, go get a $200 camera. Otherwise, stop complaining, and when someone hits you or whatever shout out their plate number.
I wasn't expecting the same resolution or picture I get with my $800 Canon body and $1,000 lens, but I did expect the thing to at least work. The only button that works on mine is the triangle button and all that does is change from the video camera icon in the menu to the wrench icon. Not a single one of the other buttons do anything. A real POS. No matter how much I paid for it, it should at least work.
Not too sure about this camera. How does the recording time affect what you get to save? I don't understand. Are you saying you only get one hour of recording? Then what? Does it record over what is already in the memory? I guess I should have done my due diligence. I drive for Lyft and need something that will record for the duration of my driving time, then be able to download and save the videos daily. But that another thing that I can't figure out. I tried connecting the cable that came with it supposedly for the video download but nothing happens. Can't open the file. Luckily its not that much money that wasted.
I have same dash cam but it records for sometime stops stating Sd card full. As card is 64 gb and whenever I check card in my computer there is no video. Any suggestions?
Good evening I bought one of these today . I can not get it to record . Soon as I turn it on it doesn't work ? What could be happening. Thank you for your help
I got one of those but no card came with it and it doesn't have any buttons on the sides. Just the slot for the TF card and the power input cable. How do I get it to start?
Hello, how did you get your quality so good ? mine was fine then i had a mess around and its not as good now quite blury what settings did you have yours on if you remember?
Just want to confirm as the instructions don't seem to specify. I turn it on in my car and in about 10 mins the display shuts off. It is supposed to do that?
Hi your review is excellent. I hope you can help me. When I switch on my camera it goes straight to a screen that says mass storage and another option which I can't remember off hand. In this screen I can do nothing can you tell me how to return to the main screen (is there a hard reset function). I would appreciate any help
james morrison hi James, that normally happens when you are plugged into a PC or Laptop with a USB Cable. are you doing that? also, try and remove the sdcard if you have one inserted.
Geeeky Stuff Thank you very much for your reply. I'm not plugged into my computer. The screen says mass storage and pc camera and I can't get out of it. If there is a reset button I will try that and start again or if there is any other way I can get out of that screen. I have tried everything to no avail. Thanks again. James
Mine did that when plugged into my computer but when I plugged it into a charger I got all the recording screen, camera and settings so dont plug it into your computer charge it with the cable from a usb plug.
Where do you get firmware update? I could not find it anywhere... what key words to use? Also how did you turn off the sound during startup/shutdown? I have annoying chirpy sound everytime I launch it.
7 лет назад
.....you're better off to "launch" the camera out the window! It's garbage.
My version of this camera came set in Chinese language mode? How can I change languages? It seems my camera has very different screen/menu graphics as well? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you, thank you. You didn't have any annoying music, and you did a good job of explaining what you were doing. Greatly appreciate this video that you did. Thank you again.
My pleasure, thank you.

A good review on dash cams so far..

Hello there! Nice videos! Wish to known the divice night vision quality.
Good evening I bought one of these today . I can not get it to record . Soon as I turn it on it doesn't work ? What could be happening. Thank you for your help
I bought a camera yesterday so I'm interested in knowing that the battery is full?
Battery is not great, but it runs on the power cable for the car anyway
eye have 1 only spent $6.99 4 S & H.
Can the camera be mounted on the dashboard instead than hanging from the windshield? Thank You.
Yes, but it will be upside down
Works for me. Cheap and useful.
I got one of those but no card came with it and it doesn't have any buttons on the sides. Just the slot for the TF card and the power input cable. How do I get it to start?
Is there a kit to plug this directly to the fusebox in the vehicle? Does the camera automatically turn on and record upon starting the car?
Automatically turns on when the car starts, if it's plugged into a power source
Hello, how did you get your quality so good ? mine was fine then i had a mess around and its not as good now quite blury what settings did you have yours on if you remember?
What are the exact specs for the SD Card? Thanks for video
Just want to confirm as the instructions don't seem to specify. I turn it on in my car and in about 10 mins the display shuts off. It is supposed to do that?
I think it does have a sleep function and you can adjust that in the settings somewhere.
Found it!! Thanks so much!
..yes.......................................................feel better?
I wish you had shown us what this camera could record at night.
Terry Thomas Hi Terry, really sorry. these sorts of cameras are not known to be great at night.
James
Mine did that when plugged into my computer but when I plugged it into a charger I got all the recording screen, camera and settings so dont plug it into your computer charge it with the cable from a usb plug.
how long time is it functionally with a full loaded inside battery?
is it possible to connect a powerbank?
Hi, how long you have the battery duration? I'm thinking of buying one for use on my motorcycle.
The battery life is not great. Only probably get 30 minutes. That's why its best for a car with in car charger.
What happens if the sd card full recording? Will it roll over automatically? Or delete the old recording n recording new one automatically?
My seams to be making a really loud noise whilst charging? Any ideas of what this may be?
Where do you get firmware update? I could not find it anywhere... what key words to use? Also how did you turn off the sound during startup/shutdown? I have annoying chirpy sound everytime I launch it.
.....you're better off to "launch" the camera out the window! It's garbage.
It sucks that I can't use it with my Joying Android radio, because the regular USB cable just treat it like it's hooked up to a computer
Maybe this could be used as a body cam?
My version of this camera came set in Chinese language mode? How can I change languages? It seems my camera has very different screen/menu graphics as well? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Next question ... My SD card is full. Is there a way to delete everything for reformat the card without removing the card from the device
yes, somewhere in the settings there is a format setting. in the system settings i think
yes.
