I can see this happening, after all the rumors have been around for a year now. I just wonder, if that means Szoboszlai is no longer on our radar, or if we are aiming for both. We do need quality players in that position, because I don't see Miggy or ASM making another step forward at this point.
Yeah it’d be great to get both but they both play the same positions so I’m not sure we’d pay big money for both when there’s other positions that also need more depth.

He'll be a miles better signing than Gordon has been so far, similar money coming from clubs in similar situations. I was amazed we signed Gordon ahead of Maddison in January. I still have hope Gordon will come good but Maddison gives us that magician who can unlock a stubborn defense, something we drastically need.
Gordon will come good. These 2 players are at very different stages of their career. Gordon is 22 has only played 2 full pro seasons, coming from a crazy situation at Everton to us. Then he had to settle at a new club mid season & adapt to Howe's brutal expectations. I think we'll see a better player next season.
Maddison though, is established and will plug straight in. I hope we get him.

@@BrianPinas9 Madison's more a ten, Id let miggy go get something back for him after his best season he'll be 30 this season. Savic is slow in midfield Should go for veiga or kone .
@@BrianPinas9 no chance averages one assist a season from that position,just had his purple patch, he works hard but moves end with him refusing to use his right peg
We didn't sign Gordon ahead of Maddison, tried to get Maddison first but he wasn't for sale

I'd much rather we signed Szoboszlai, alot younger with greater potential imo. However if we do sign maddison he's still a great signing. We need some CDM's in asap, we can't function when longstaff is injured.
