Great video bro! What are your thoughts about CHILIZ (CHZ)? A lot of people are suggesting me to buy, they are talking about a price target of 2 dollar. With a lot of new partnerships, and the upcoming European Championship, sounds it realistic. Your thoughts?
Professor G thank you. When I see you approve of the ETF's I own, it makes me feel like I am on the right track since I am a novice so to speak. Your thoughts on a Cyber security ETF maybe in the future. Thank you.
Wow great tip on MGK! Never heard of this one, it's like a stock all star team. Always bummed that QQQ didn't have financials. Great semi exposure too! Thanks!
SOXQ for me. 500 shares and growing. I have 335 of PSI (another semi ETF) that I’ll be selling and moving into SOXQ. Semi’s make up approx 10% of my portfolio
I have SMH. It has been doing incredibly well. I am holding and have been considering adding to it lately. As usually, I love the insight of your videos. Usually you tell us which one is your preference and also usually tell us which one you are invested it?
G, top of the morning to you sir, My current set up in a T. IRA is SCHD/SCHG I'm considering adding SOXQ to the mix. Should I keep SCHG or just add SOXQ?! This is an interesting article my BOI!
Keep your schg because it covered other growth area other than technology for example vrtx and elli lilly are growth stocks in the healthcare sector schg keeps you exposed to those kind of stocks
I just watching your but getting mixed on which eit to invest in . I did invest in 3 etf in one portfolio but after more videos I don;t know how much overlap some of these newer ones you mention
The S&P 500 moved 8.9% higher last Month, achieving one of its best monthly performances in history.. which is an indicator for profits to continue to improve. I just want my money to keep outgrowing the inflation rate. I'm still looking for companies to make additions to my $500K portfolio, to boost performance. Here for ideas...
Safest approach i feel to tackle it is to diversify investments. By spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, real estate, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown. its important to seek the guidance of an expert
A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850k.
Amber Dawn Brummit is the licensed fiduciary I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment..
Is the stock market actually getting better or is this the regular start of the year market manipulation to entice new investors, I'm currently sitting on an inheritance of 500k and i'm wondering do I invest in stocks or Gold?
In this current unstable markets, It is advisable to diversify while retaining 70-80% in secure investments. looking at your budget, you should consider financial advisory.
Agreed, my portfolio is well-matched for every market season yielding 85% from early last year to date. I and my advisr are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal, tho this could take another year. IMO, financial advisors are the most sought-after professionals after doctors.
I want to invest into a semiconductor ETF but I invest for the long run and I’m worried about China invading Taiwan in those years and they make most of them in Taiwan.
The best-performing ETF I've invested in so far happens to be semiconductor-based. Fidelity Select Semiconductors Portfolio (FSELX). 27% of it is NVIDIA.
Good stuff, none of those are a part of my current portfolio bc of the large overlap it would have on what I already have. I have XLK, which I was surprised wasn't a part of this video but I know you have mentioned and covered in a few other videos of yours. Thanks for the content.
I have SMH in one account, and SOXQ in the other. Both great semiconductor ETFs. SMH could have a lot harder fall if NVDA falters though; I prefer the allocations being more evenly spread out in the SOXQ fund. Little bit more buffer in it perhaps.
This is like saying, "If you would have been the 3rd person in line at 3:18 P.M on Nov. 3rd at the little store on the corner of 4th and Martin Luther King Drive....than you could have purchased the winning lottery ticket." I don't know why people use the "If you would have invested just $10k in this or that stock on this date...than this would you would be here" analogy. Its silly. Otherwise....I really love the channel.
Hi there prof, i'm new in this field and i'd like to ask you how it works with these ETF's...So i buy an ETF (let's say VOO) and after that each month i buy again?...for how long?...i mean what value (5k,10k etc) should my ETF reach? Thanks for the answers.
Prof G, where do you rate USD in comparison to SMH and the rest of semiconductor ETFs you mentioned here? USD in last 10 yrs has crushed it more so than any of the ones mentioned here and I am wondering why. Thanks
He mentioned it in one of his videos, he advised that if u have a particular lump sump to go hybrid 50% LSI and 50% DCA. I've watched so many videos on DCA vs LSI and the conclusion is: In declining or high Volatile markets DCA may beat LSI (like now from sep to end of oct DCA is better), in uprising markers LSI wins.
Hi Profresor G and the Group. New guy here to Investing and a Little Late in the Game at 48. Thans Uncle Sam and his world wide vacations for that. But have a question I just came across this video and looking into the ETFs as a beginner and looking at the low cost Tech ETF's cause I cant drop big coin yet on anything as my Portfolio is on 2k. But was curious about what you think as well as the others here with experience about IETC or FTEC are they any good to start with.?? thanks in advance from the New Guy.
Been watching your videos for a while now. Liked and subscribed today! I follow your 3 fund portfolio, in early 40s. I chose my own modified version using fidelity to get fractional ETF's. 20%-VTI, 25%-VOO, 22% SCHD, 15%-VUG, 9% FTEC, 9% SOXQ. I feel good about this allocation, what do you think? I chose all of these due to the low expense ratios and good fit into my plan. I was debating adding 5-10% Value (VTV) to go along with SCHD, and lower other categories accordingly, but not sold on value right now. Appreciate your feedback. Thanks
What are the benefits of owning a full share vs fractional? I did notice SOXQ had a lower % for last year vs SOXX, but are there potentially more benefits to owning shares with them instead of SOXX still because of the lower fee? I'm not clear on expenses/fees yet if I plan to keep them for a long time.
I've been looking all over the internet for someone to explain how a teacher/state employee with a pension between 40-65% of their take home pay at retirement should invest for maximum medium to long term wealth (retirement and brokerage). At 35 is my pension considered my safe percentage so I can invest very aggressive or do I ignore the pension completely and invest in Roth/403(b) and the 3 ETF's by age you recommend in your video? Ps: Thanks for your videos. They make the most sense to me out of all the RUclips finance channels. That's probably because we are both teachers.
I have been rocking with SCHG as my only growth ETF. Should I stick with that or try and add more growth ETFs. Right now i onlt have 3 funds SCHD SCHG and VOO. Should I expand?
Professor G, what do you think about ETF that focus on AI data stocks like: 1. **Global X Data Center REITs & Digital Infrastructure ETF (VPN) 2. **First Trust Dow Jones Internet Index Fund (FDN) 3. **WisdomTree Cloud Computing ETF (WCLD) 4. **Global X Artificial Intelligence & Technology ETF (AIQ) 5. **Robo Global Robotics and Automation Index ETF (ROBO)
So I'm confused. Should we add these to our portfolios with QQQ, VOO, and SCHD as you've touted in your other videos, or should we replace QQQ, VOO, and SCHD with these? I'm asking because there is significant overlap and I am to new to really tell which is better yet.
I wouldn’t replace any of those. You can add one of these semi ETFs as a different growth etf option because the semi conductor world is on fire right now. You don’t want to miss out on that.
Its like exercise channels...they need new content. Once you tell people to eat right and exercise...your channel is done. So what now? Tell them to exercise with silly bands...or stand on a ball and do curls. Same with investing content. You run out of useful content so you just add stuff to be adding stuff....making it more confusing than it needs to be...much like evercising. Everything you ever wanted to know about exercising could be written in one small magazine....but then there is no content or money in that for next month. You can look at investing content the same.
Hi Profesor G, First of all Regards to Panama . I have been there and thinking of retiring there from Tampa. I own SOXQ and it difinitely one i own and I keep adding to it. Expense ratio is only 0.19%
I'm a big fan of your videos and ETF investment strategies. I was wondering if you have given any though or could make a video about what ETFs could be good potential for intraday trading if you have to buy and close their position by close of market day?
This is how to buy NVDA if you cant take risk on buying NVDA stock, lets face it anything that goes up so high and so fast is going to drop even quicker when it does. The Question is: "Can you get out before every one panic sells? " What is the sell signal?
I am loving all of your videos but am so much confused where to start as new comer of ETF because each and every video you are saying worthful portfolio and not sure which one to start and want some suggestions please
Professor G, isn´t there any etf that has a large exposure to tech but also includes the new, fast growing pharmaceutical stars, Eli Lilly and Nova even Vertex? All have long runway ahead, sharesmhave appreciated very much in a relatively short time, and like the best semiconductor company appear likely to continue in that vein....
$1000 at the IPO stage in NVDA(January 1999) would be $3million plus today! Mind boggling! And the same in S&P would be $5000+ I am now seriously looking for the next NVDA! Thanks Prof as always.
Let me know if you find it. Nvidia has no close competitor with their AI chips. They can pick and choose who they sell to right now as they can’t produce them fast enough.
Good morning! Thanks for all the info you put out in these videos, I'm trying to learn as much as I can. I am really liking SOXQ personally. I especially like what you do not like, that it is a relatively new fund. Have a great day!
Do you think it would be smart long term to invest into soxq in the growth portion at 1/3 given the fact that AI n chips look like a mainstay for the forseeable future?
To be successful in markets, traders should understand the crossover between asset classes & liquidity flow. Michelle Stewart focuses on Multi-asset trading, a single strategy to manage risk, profit, and the code or the actual decision-making across multi-asset classes. Her skills set is top notch.
Building a good investment portfolio is more complex so I would recommend you seek Michelle Stewart support. This way you can get strategies designed to address your unique long/short-term goals and financial dreams.
Stewart's expertise in customizing investment portfolios based on changing market conditions and personal risk profiles is exceptional. It's not a one-size-fits-all approach, which is crucial in crypto investing.
I have been seeing so many recommendations about Michelle Stewart, Her strategy must be good for people to talk about her. Does she work for companies as well, I might be able to get her a deal with my board here in Canada .
I have FSELX and SMH. I found FSELX first but I liked that SMH had TSMC, ASML, AMD, and INTC in the top 10, all of which I like. And I have seen it several times over the last month where one is up and the other is down in the same day. So I keep 2-3% of my portfolio in each with another chunk in VGT for more general exposure to technology. It works for me to be a little more aggressive to make a little more over time.
FYI...SOXX has a beta of 1.37 and standard deviation of 34.48% for the trailing three-year period, making it a high risk choice in the space. With about 35 holdings, it has more concentrated exposure than peers.
SOXQ has only been in existence since 2021 so there is no 10 year data on it like you mentioned. Because of the lack of data, it contains a higher risk than the other ETFs you have mentioned
Great stuff as always. I spent some time pondering and comparing the ETFs you discussed and just pulled the trigger on my weekly allowance on SOXQ. I like the 11% NVDA here compared to the 26% in SMH. While SMH is tempting, for me since I have a sliver of NVDA stock in my portfolio, I feel more comfy with SOXQ and the safety net it provides when one day NVDA takes turn.
I’m 18, I started investing in QQQM, VOO, and SCHD in my roth and brokerage account. Any advice? Should I add MGK or other growth ETFs to my roth or brokerage etc? And should I invest more in dividend stocks or growth stocks? Thanks!
Great video, as always! Thank you! I looked into SOXX awhile ago, however wasn't keen on the expense ratio. I have just started a position in XLK. SOXQ looks great too, however my broker doesn't have it currently.
Hi Investing Simplified. I am exploring buying semiconductor ETF and have these three under consideration 1.VanEck Semiconductor SMH: tracks a market-cap-weighted index of 25 of the largest US-listed semiconductors companies. 2. iShares Semiconductor SOXX: tracks a modified market-cap-weighted index of 30 US-listed semiconductor companies. 3. SPDR S&P Semiconductor XSD: tracks an equal-weighted index of semiconductor stocks. These ETF have similar holding companies but different weighing. I only want to get one. Which of this ETF do you think is better?

Hi PG, I can see the "galo de Barcelos",...are you lusitano?...am I wrong?
Thank you
Professor G thank you.
Thanks!
Thanks for putting me on to SOXQ. I love the top 10 holdings and the share price.
me too!
Wow! I already bought SMH three days ago because of its great track record 😊
SOXQ for me. 500 shares and growing. I have 335 of PSI (another semi ETF) that I’ll be selling and moving into SOXQ. Semi’s make up approx 10% of my portfolio
1000 soxq
I'm thinking of getting SOXQ as well
Soxq is it safe to buy this?
I have SMH. It has been doing incredibly well. I am holding and have been considering adding to it lately. As usually, I love the insight of your videos. Usually you tell us which one is your preference and also usually tell us which one you are invested it?
keep pumping out those financial informational videos Professor G!!!!
Funny i was hoping you would do a video of smh. Glad to find more other ETFs like it.
G, top of the morning to you sir, My current set up in a T. IRA is SCHD/SCHG I'm considering adding SOXQ to the mix. Should I keep SCHG or just add SOXQ?! This is an interesting article my BOI!
I wouldn't swap out SCHG completely, but adding in a bit of SOXQ looks reeeeeeeal nice
Keep your schg because it covered other growth area other than technology for example vrtx and elli lilly are growth stocks in the healthcare sector schg keeps you exposed to those kind of stocks
Love SCHG and Berkshire Hathaway
I just watching your but getting mixed on which eit to invest in . I did invest in 3 etf in one portfolio but after more videos I don;t know how much overlap some of these newer ones you mention
I have FXAIX and FSELX in my Roth. Is this a good pair or what would be a good 3rd one? I’m looking for growth.

I sold all my gold not long after watching Ben Felix’s video about it.
Nice one. I have SOXQ on my watchlist for the last few months. Am going to buy when the market dips a bit.
Thank you PG for SOXQ!
You’re welcome!

Please share ur review about Proshares Ultra Semiconductor Etf's(USD) ETF
Thank you for another valueable video! Will buy one of them right now)
Good call in SOXQ. Just added some of this to my portfolio.
🙌🙌
Thank you Professor G. Any comparison between AIQ and XLK?
I've been canvassing RUclips for investment advice. Your bonus etf play narrow field. Thanks, you just saved/made me some money.
The best-performing ETF I've invested in so far happens to be semiconductor-based. Fidelity Select Semiconductors Portfolio (FSELX). 27% of it is NVIDIA.
I'm putting phlx semi conductor ETF on my list Thanks for the video!
Any time!
Where can you buy calls/puts of PHLX Semiconductor (^SOX)?
Good stuff, none of those are a part of my current portfolio bc of the large overlap it would have on what I already have. I have XLK, which I was surprised wasn't a part of this video but I know you have mentioned and covered in a few other videos of yours. Thanks for the content.
Solid justification for sure!
What do you think of a leverage ETF as USD?
Since soxq is still new, would you invest in this now?
I’d give it some time to prove itself probably
Great video as always prof! Where does QQQM fit into all of these ?
I have SMH in one account, and SOXQ in the other. Both great semiconductor ETFs. SMH could have a lot harder fall if NVDA falters though; I prefer the allocations being more evenly spread out in the SOXQ fund. Little bit more buffer in it perhaps.

Not an ETF, but I have FSELX and it's killing it! Little higher expense at .7 but 78.4% up this year!
Hi there prof, i'm new in this field and i'd like to ask you how it works with these ETF's...So i buy an ETF (let's say VOO) and after that each month i buy again?...for how long?...i mean what value (5k,10k etc) should my ETF reach? Thanks for the answers.
Hi Professor G, any thoughts on SCHO? Schwab Short-Term U.S. Treasury ETF. I already invested in your suggested Portfolio. Thank you.
What is your position on inflation protected etf’s. If a portfolio return is 6%, is the true return minus inflation. Of course minus taxes also.
Thinking I'll be replacing SMH with SOXQ!!! I can load more shares faster!!!! Holding for 10-15 years!!!
Exactly!
Prof G, where do you rate USD in comparison to SMH and the rest of semiconductor ETFs you mentioned here? USD in last 10 yrs has crushed it more so than any of the ones mentioned here and I am wondering why. Thanks
Hi professor, Do you think it make sense to DCA every week for 10-20 years into SMH? Or is it not wise idea?
He mentioned it in one of his videos, he advised that if u have a particular lump sump to go hybrid 50% LSI and 50% DCA. I've watched so many videos on DCA vs LSI and the conclusion is: In declining or high Volatile markets DCA may beat LSI (like now from sep to end of oct DCA is better), in uprising markers LSI wins.
Thank you. What do you think of having SMH and QQQ in the same portfolio? Is it better to pick one?
You could definitely have both!
Is there any reason to be concerned about Momo's tides to China when using them to hold your money
Not in my opinion since your money is federally insured
You got about 4 replays out of me because I can't seem to pay attention 😂 great insight as always
Hi Professor G! I have VOO AND VGT. Would it make sense for me to add any of these? Would it be too much overlap?
I’d like to know too.
Hi Profresor G and the Group. New guy here to Investing and a Little Late in the Game at 48. Thans Uncle Sam and his world wide vacations for that. Which is better long term Schg or MGK
XLK or SOXQ?? Thank you always
Portfoliovisualizer will tell you the performance is somewhat the same as schg.
SCHG!!
Thanks
All of those are solid yes!
As a Canadian how I can buy them in my TFSA ?
What are the benefits of owning a full share vs fractional? I did notice SOXQ had a lower % for last year vs SOXX, but are there potentially more benefits to owning shares with them instead of SOXX still because of the lower fee? I'm not clear on expenses/fees yet if I plan to keep them for a long time.
Thanks for soxq I will yolo into this on Monday
Question, Is SOSQ the QQQM of the group?
Hello i m from India what about proshare semiconductor etf for investment
Thanks Prof G, love listening to your analysis on all these different ETF's!!
Hey Nolan, are you Portuguese? I really enjoy your videos, and I really would like to invest some money on US-ETFs, is there any way to do it?
I have been rocking with SCHG as my only growth ETF. Should I stick with that or try and add more growth ETFs. Right now i onlt have 3 funds SCHD SCHG and VOO. Should I expand?
Those are the core 3! I like it! If you research other ones and want to expand with a small portion of your portfolio, you could definitely do that
Professor G, what do you think about ETF that focus on AI data stocks like:
1. **Global X Data Center REITs & Digital Infrastructure ETF (VPN)
2. **First Trust Dow Jones Internet Index Fund (FDN)
3. **WisdomTree Cloud Computing ETF (WCLD)
4. **Global X Artificial Intelligence & Technology ETF (AIQ)
5. **Robo Global Robotics and Automation Index ETF (ROBO)
I do like AIQ a lot and VPN is solid too. Haven’t researched the others too much
I like SMH and SOXQ! Will be adding both to my portfolio. Thank you!
📈🙌
How did you have data on SOXQ for a 10 year when it was only created in 2021. And SOXX isn’t 600 a share. Unless they did a split recently.
So I'm confused. Should we add these to our portfolios with QQQ, VOO, and SCHD as you've touted in your other videos, or should we replace QQQ, VOO, and SCHD with these? I'm asking because there is significant overlap and I am to new to really tell which is better yet.
Depends on your investment goals!
@@anthonyh2884 my apologies. That was intended for @NolanGouveia.
I wouldn’t replace any of those. You can add one of these semi ETFs as a different growth etf option because the semi conductor world is on fire right now. You don’t want to miss out on that.

SCHG has been great for me drop VOO please 😊😅
I own FSELX with Fidelity and has done great for me but exp ratio is 0.69%, but now am buying more of SOXQ with 0.19%
Hi profesor what you think about SOXL
Wish these were available in the uk
Hi Profesor G !! thanks for sharing these great options ! definetely SOXQ seems very attractive !!!
Regards from Panama !!
Hi Profesor G, First of all Regards to Panama . I have been there and thinking of retiring there from Tampa. I own SOXQ and it difinitely one i own and I keep adding to it. Expense ratio is only 0.19%
I like and I am invested in SMH for the long term.
Thanks professor G! I have a Canadian version called CHPS but I think I like SOXQ more. I’ll look into it.
Look at XCHP from blackrock it’s the Canadian semiconductor etf
@@FinanceNerd7 I will. Thanks!
I bought SOXX years ago. Professor good choices
Heck ya nice work!
I wish I knew about SOXX 5 years ago😢
What do you think about PPA - Invesco Aerospace & Defense ETF? It looks interesting 🤔
I'm a big fan of your videos and ETF investment strategies. I was wondering if you have given any though or could make a video about what ETFs could be good potential for intraday trading if you have to buy and close their position by close of market day?
Thank you! I don’t do any trading or short term positions so I wouldn’t be the right one to make that video!
PHLX sounds good. I owned SOXX and I just sold it. I think I will look into buying this.
SOXQ does not allow fractional shares? Would this be allowed in future?
IS BRK/B is a good etf to invest in ?
It is a stock and I invest in it
This is how to buy NVDA if you cant take risk on buying NVDA stock, lets face it anything that goes up so high and so fast is going to drop even quicker when it does. The Question is: "Can you get out before every one panic sells? " What is the sell signal?
AI is at the infancy stage. Your talking like a day trader.
So do I stick to VOO QQQM SCHD in the brokerage or change to VOO SOXQ SCHD ?
SCHG for VOO.. no need to thank me we're all in this together😊
I am loving all of your videos but am so much confused where to start as new comer of ETF because each and every video you are saying worthful portfolio and not sure which one to start and want some suggestions please

Also as an added note i plan on making a 3 fund portfolio as follows: Schx [foundational], schd [Dividend], and Soxq [growth]
Never heard of SOXQ or MGK until now but I heard of the other ones
Nice vid Prof G. Holding and adding to SMH. Glad to see it on your list 😊
I like it!
Isn't that the same Mrs Michelle Stewart that my neighbours are talking about, she has to be a perfect expert for people to talk about her so well
I have been seeing so many recommendations about Michelle Stewart, Her strategy must be good for people to talk about her. Does she work for companies as well, I might be able to get her a deal with my board here in Canada .
I'm new at this, please how can I reach her?
I like this analysis my friend!
I like SOXX more than SMH, because SMH is essentially NVDA, with satellite investments. You almost might as well just buy shares of NVDA….
Yes I can understand that!
This is actually incredible. I just found out yesterday about SMH...😅. Nice video G, keep it up
🙌🙌🙌
Same here 😂
😂
Hi since you started I follow you thanks for all .. and I want to ask you about this ETF SVOL…? Good or bad
Which ones are based on capitalisation and which ones of then based on distribution?
Thanks for your help and wise information
I’m 18, I started investing in QQQM, VOO, and SCHD in my roth and brokerage account. Any advice? Should I add MGK or other growth ETFs to my roth or brokerage etc? And should I invest more in dividend stocks or growth stocks? Thanks!
Smart man. Wish to God I knew that 30 years ago. You’ll be a millionaire by time you’re my age (53).
Great video, as always! Thank you! I looked into SOXX awhile ago, however wasn't keen on the expense ratio. I have just started a position in XLK. SOXQ looks great too, however my broker doesn't have it currently.
I never thought I'd be taking stock advice from Eric from That '70s show 😅
I want to get into semi-conductors, I was going into SMH, but cost is to expensive, I'm now interested in SOXQ.
so you not only invest on Voo, qqq and the other one????
Hi Investing Simplified. I am exploring buying semiconductor ETF and have these three under consideration
1.VanEck Semiconductor SMH: tracks a market-cap-weighted index of 25 of the largest US-listed semiconductors companies.
2. iShares Semiconductor SOXX: tracks a modified market-cap-weighted index of 30 US-listed semiconductor companies.
3. SPDR S&P Semiconductor XSD: tracks an equal-weighted index of semiconductor stocks.
These ETF have similar holding companies but different weighing. I only want to get one.
Which of this ETF do you think is better?
Thanks for showing the SOXQ that looks the most attractive to me.
I like that one best too!
$SMH to the moon🚀🚀 great semiconductor ETF!
I'd agree!
