Not only would I mind, I did! :) If you visit the website, you can see the full ~30 minute instructional video and tabs as a Gold Pick or Lifetime member. I'd appreciate your support to help me put out more stuff like this! Thanks!
Love the split-screen format of your instructional videos, showing picking hand and fretting hand. You are an excellent teacher as well. Perfect! Thank you!
On my website, I have a "Travis" style version of I'll Fly Away that is pretty cool! Of course, Travis just used his thumb and index, whereas my version uses 3 fingers. It IS tough to do, but once you rid yourself of some basic mental blocks, things really start to flow! This guitar is an '09 Martin D18 Golden Era...it's killer!
Awesome man. Doc was a huge influence on me too. Im doing Black Mountain Rag as a tribute to him at the next show we do. Nice to see a good tribute to a true flatpickin hero.
Hey Ben, I've been watching your stuff for awhile now and been loving it! as you mentioned this is one of the first albums that got me into bluegrass as well. Every song is still stuck in my mind. This being my fav! I've always wanted to learn this version and I will begin NOW! Thanks for the Doc! More please! Ryan
Hi Ben, I like Watson too!! I'm trying to learn Travis-picking, but it is very hard to learn. Do you have some tips for me (and other people who are trying to learn it...)? Which Martin guitar do you play in this video by the way?
Haha! This guitar is actually BRAND NEW (not even a strap button installed) and is FOR SALE by a friend of mine. It's the Collings CW MhA, which is the Clarence White enlarged soundhole model. It's a boom box bomb, man, and the highs are incredible. Email me through the site if you're interested and I'll shoot you the price (which is a good deal).

Okay...thanks! You do know it's just $5/month, right? I make it cheap enough so that anyone with internet can afford to learn how to pick. I'd be honored to have you on board!
As always, a belter of a video! Ben if you get chance, get out my videos - I wrote some lyrics to this tune and slowed it down... hope you dig it. Lew.
Nice friggin picken man! Know what would be preetty cool, you posting a video with other guitars or instruments and just free jamming and not rehearsed! Taking a couple shots at a tune or song with some buddies :)

Ben, Your videos are great along with these Doc Watson songs. I will definitely be coming to your website for this tune. Thanks!
I remember watching the news, hearing doc had left us. I was the only family member who knew who he was and I’m Proud of that.

Same here, first bluegrass album and it was Blackberry Blossom that showcased all 3 guitarists for me. Love your channel.
I think they're great! Some are better than others, of course.
Oh...and also the tab at the bottom of the screen. Even more perfect!

Would like to learn more about the Collings CW for sale. Karl
It’s good but i would like learn one or two variations
He also went to Merle :)
Hé Ben,
What do you think about the normal Martin D18?
Grtz, Patrick.
Hello Banjo Ben,
I was wondering is that a D-18GE you are playing? I would love if you could get back to me on this.
how do i get t
he long version of lost indian.....i am a gold pick member...what do i have to do HELP!!!
Just sent you an email, Robert! You accidentally had two accounts set up, and you were logging into the wrong one. All good now! Thanks!
This is deceptively difficult to play, because all the accented notes seem to come on up-picks. But that's why it sounds so cool.

Doc died? When?

I'll trade you my D-28 and a pony for that guitar. Wouldn't your little girl love a pony?
