Lately, Mae Sri will fall to the ground when she is tired. She is old and carries injuries sustained from a life of hard labor. Her hind legs are weak. It is difficult for her to stand by herself. She always puts forward a brave face and a wilful effort to rise up. We also will go to any length to help her as much as we can. We hope for recovery, and our care for our aging elephants will always be present, so that they can enjoy a happy life in this their loving home at Elephant Nature Park. Learn More: saveelephant.org/
That was emotional. We all need help sometimes, the effort to get her on her feet must be a worry every time. But she rises because she still has life to live thanks to you. Thank you to all that care for this magnificent lady. She is a warrior.
She has so much determination to go on living. May God bless her with more years to enjoy freedom.
And should the day come when her body's given up, she's known love, absolute love from Lek & all the caregivers there ❣️ And for that I'm so grateful.. 💞❤️‼️✌️

What a fine lady. Resilience keeps many of us going forward. So much in the video that makes me reflect on these times and I look for the same quality in those around me and try to be more myself. Watching elephants seems to make us all deeper thinkers.
Sometimes emotion rules over the life quality in question, she can't be fixed, maybe the suffering should be ended?

Her both front legs are so stiff probably due to past injuries and/or arthritis. Yet she walks and moves as much as she can full of resilience. Bless your soul and body Mae Sri. She's a fighter and triumphant for life. Keep going on living brave lady! We root for you

I support SEF & ENP in all they do. This is one of those times I’m not sure if I agree. I love this elephant and question when it’s time for human intervention? How does the natural dying process start - if we continue to intervene? Lying down is part of the process for old elephants. The natural instinct of all animals is to not-appear-sick. ENP staff are the most loving & caring people. ❤️

Mae Sri ENP quote: "always puts forward...a wilful effort to rise up." I think this is beautifully said and shows just why Mae Sri keeps rising up. It is because she wants to. She wants to keep living her life at ENP for another day.
Before Mae Sri fell and had no hope, no will to go on and live another day of abuse and misery. Now our beautiful old lady can keep rising up, until she decides no more.❤💝🐘💝❤

Your not alone im 37 year old guy and im welling up watching this mea sri is a beautiful elephant and got the fight in her to go on many years with her age and wisdom u go girl outlive me i beg u i am disgusted by some of the treatment to these elephants and would have no problem watching the evil people put in a ball andcsquashed by the elephants like in the jails a hundred or so years ago

I'm crying for her being a fighter to never give up for now a freedom that she have from all the slavery that bad human done to her before the rescued. Hope and pray that bad human who are thinking only a profits using an elephants will be able to learned and understand the well being and protection for all elephants and never to used them anymore for profits.
Thank you for helping her so much. It's so hard when we are the ones who will eventually have to make the decision for other animals, it requires us to be wiser than we feel. As long as her tiredness and suffering are not outweighing her happiness, she should have all the assistance she needs. Such a hard call to make though.
My “Yay!” Doesn’t even describe it. You lifted her up, got her healthy, on her feet and moving again. It’s the love and care from ENP that makes all the difference to the elephants.

She is so sweet, beautiful. and very determined to live! Thank you all for never giving up on her, and continuing to care and fight for her as long as she was willing to fight and move forward for herself. It saddens my heart to see the hurt, pain, and neglect these elephants have been through in the past. I’m so grateful that she has been rescued, and now she can feel and experience the love, care, and protection from any harm.
