My choice would be the Embraer Praetor 600 followed by the Gulfstream G280 both great value for money mid sized with good range.

the Bombardier Challenger 350 mid-size business jet is one of the best family jets by far . . . followed closely by the new Dassault Falcon 10X super mid-size business jet . . .

The 300 also is the longest ranged aircraft only requiring one pilot.
Pilatus PC-24 is longer. This video is outrageously off the mark in every way. The concept of family jet is fubar from minute one.
@@dgpatter The 300E has a range of 3,722km. The PC-24 range is 3,334km. Also the 300E is faster.

I would think any midsize business jet would make a great “family“ jet. Of course, you would have to be outrageously wealthy, or a member of the Saudi royal family to afford one. For me, a “family“ Jet would be a single pilot jet such as the Pilatus PC 24, the Cessna citation CJ 3+ or CJ 4 or even the M2. The phenom 100 EV also comes to mind or the phenom 300. Even the Cirrus vision jet, or the Honda jet. But again, my family is of more modest means than Saudi royalty. 😉
My thoughts exactly. I think only one or two of these are single pilot friendly.

How certain are you on these charter rates? These seem very low compared to what I’ve seen quoted. Like radically lower. I’d start flying private for some shorter stuff at these rates. I assume these rates assume a paid return flight same day or a 2 hour min per day unused?
I asked the same. I charter from San Diego to houston often and those are not the rates at all.
Where are these charter prices coming from? I took a 300 from San Diego to houston and it was way more.
