i just read this trick in the book. it looks awesome! confused why the present card ends up being 10S and not KC. according to step 2 on pg 158.. edit: nm, I should've tried it myself before asking.

When I first read that trick I couldn't understand how Simon knew the present card they were thinking of. It fooled me while I read how it worked. 🤣
