I was there! Maestro Heyward did a masterful job leading our world-class orchestra in this stunning performance of the piece with perhaps the greatest dynamic range of *any* work ...from mind-blowing, jaw-dropping climaxes in Mars, Jupiter & Uranus (that no stereo can do justice) - to the softest possible sounds in Venus, Mercury & especially, Neptune the Mystic, where the wordless, offstage female chorus fades out into eternity for at least 30 seconds. Incredible!
Me too! Got to talk with Hannah Kendall...
Y'all are so lucky
I had the sheer pleasure of being there..And his conducting of Hannah Kendall's "The Spark Catchers" was truly perfection!
Excellent. Great conducting.
This fellow makes me wanna watch some star wars. He's amazing. GIVE HIM A LIGHT SABER
I bet John Williams would love this ;)
the music that plays when henchmen 21 and 24 gear up
Jonathon Heyward conducting!!!!!!!!
This is the music I would play if I was flying a TIE fighter and going to destroy the Death Star!
Actually! I was thinking the same thing. But I would be flying an X-Wing.
Poketrio GX cool, but would you fit in the Death Star turrets?! You know, if you were flying an X-Wing?
It's the piece that inspired John Williams' "Star Wars" theme
HopHeadSeattle oooh!! Yes, now this sounds familiar 😃
Funny story Mars actually inspired most of the imperial music
WoW
Dooooooooooope
Wetett bfer
He’s rather silly and affected. He likes loud and fast. Not much terracing, not much interesting counterpoint. I want to hear some Mozart to judge if he really has anything.
I respect and support Mr Heyward, but that's actually a pretty strange way of conducting.
He was incredible! You should have been there!
