He has such beautiful hands, I've never held my brushes back so far down the handle, he's fascinating to watch
Simple and beautiful explanation of edges. Thank you
Thank you David the way you demoed this made me understand light and shadow with soft edges much more clearly.

One of the very best explanations of edges ever offered.....
Yes!
Thank you very much for this lesson. Now I understand much better about the edges.

Thank you!
buen trabajo

To Akis, if you are still interested, it is ""the finish is a matter of a balance between subtlety and drama"
I like the first "not finished" painting more than the second one... it's more drama and air IMHO.
Come sarebbe bello per noi se ci fosse anche la traduzione in italiano!
Are there musicians in your studio? And if so how about your pricacy?
No musicians in our studios, Martin. We have a lot of privacy, especially being in the country.
David doesn't quite understand the question. Could you rephrase it and perhaps expound on the question?
I suppose he was referring to the paint on the palette, when the surface dries
A few important things he did not mention , both verbally and in his book. Not did he direct attention to them.
This is just Alla Prima. Artists have used this technique for centuries. He's no genius.
This is a demonstration. You entirely missed the point
Great work
