GH dips were the first dips I ever used. I really liked the colors in the set I got, and I think the fast drying/no activator needed powders are good to learn on as you can easily buff between layers if it’s coming out lumpy (something I struggled with on my first few steps). The dip liquids are really fume-y though. I remember my eyes watering pretty fiercely when using that set.
Awesome live. Sorry you had that experience with GH Dip. Their dips are actually one of my favorite Amazon dip powders. I have never used their dip liquids as I exclusively do dip with the gel method but their powders are wonderful. Also thanks for sharing your nailfie poses. Thanks for sharing. 😊
Oh wow my 13 year old daughters birthday is 3\24 A day after your sons! Lol. 2 questions I have #1. are most dip bases just like nail gule? Mine smells like it is. #2 no matter how lightly I dip my finger it seems to leave a line that looks like it smooches on most of my nails then makes the nail look lumpy be the end that ruins my mani! Should I just do the pour over method?? And can you use just like nail polish base coat??
I haven't been on Facebook too much lately, so i missed this post. How rude of her. I only started using an efile because of you, Marla. And I love it! I was always scared I would mess up my cuticles. So I use with caution every time. Marla's calming voice in my head the whole time. Unless I'm watching your video while doing my nails. 😆😆😅
3 decades of getting my nails done and I've never had a nail tech NOT use an efile on my natural nail. So not sure how long she has been uh to retired..but efile and hand file is the same.
Does your code for fairy glamour still work? How much is the discount. Thinking about putting in an order. I know I don’t need anymore right now but I won Chelsea’s giveaway and I love the fairy glamour. Hopefully you’ll get a commission. Love ❤️ ya thanks I just use an e- file to remove. I’m not brave enough to finish my nails with it. So I use a file when I’m done. I bought a bunch of files and buffers from your list.
This was my first kit. Even though it worked well I would not repurchase. THe bottles got sealed shut. They only lasted a few dips. I tried to save them my wiping the excess and even filling the residue.
I have alot of gh dip powders....I like them, simply nude is my favorite nude I own! Liquids are ok I prefer modelones from Amazon. My sister in law got me dips from Soleilfox so that got me wanting more powders from the smaller companies.
If you haven't tried CNDESIGNERDIPS you absolutely must try them. I do love Soleil Fox too but Corey & her girls are phenomenal. Her powders are like butter. She's on Etsy & friendsget10 always saves 10%
Love the modelones, beetles and Makartt dip kits on amazon! If you’d prefer to support small biz.. love Revel and dipalicious for dip kits! Check the description box for my amazon storefront which has all my fave dip kits and also my save $$ section for discounts on small businesses! 💜
Hi! 👋🏻 Former skin (around the nails) biter/picker here! I’ve found, for me, the best way to break a habit is to replace it with another. What saved my skin and nails was cuticle oil. Every time I’d get the urge to nibble, I’d apply and massage cuticle oil. Haven’t chewed in about 5 yrs!
Ok, so u gotta love the big brother algorithms.... I was just swiping through YT shorts and came across a clip that was made over a year ago by GH dips. It was for their fast dry dip kit. Low and behold, they did base, dip, and activate!.. I instantly thought of your story, where u said they told u that u weren't supposed to activate cause it was quick dry, but here they are in their own video using activator. 🤣🤣
Re watching this a year later. Funny enough I remember that fb nail drama. I've never seen a pro NOT use an efile... And the yellow is not that Terrible lol.
GH liquids were the first liquids that I experienced dip flu after using, and after them it didn't matter what brand I used for dip liquids I ended up violently sick lol I have an extreme hatred for that company haha!
I can't believe a nail tech would say that. I remember in the 90's there was a nail salon that opened and their big $making gimmick was they didn't use nail drills because "they are bad for your nails"! All I have 2 say is B.S. If you use and clean them properly, they're 99.9%safe👍 2use! And I only say 99.9 cause I don't know if anything is 100%safe these days 😆
@@MarlaKris Absolutely. Especially with the internet teaching us pretty much any and everything we need to know! I was just joking about the 99.9% because remember Ivorys slogan 99 and 44/100% pure and it's the only soap I have ever had an allergic reaction to! Also I found it to be funny that nail salon lasted about 2 years & they did make more money but, in the end people figured out nail drills and e-files are safe on natural nails if cleaned and used properly they're also quicker less work for the nail tech cheaper for a set of nails or a manicure.
I watched the LIVE but had to go...watched it now....well I was right about the YELLOW...holy cow...and ran smack into the teabag tom thing and want a T-shirt....'Dont be a Dbag...be a Tbag"....omg....Teabag Tom Blue....holy cow ...crying...

Ritzydips liquids are Awesome!
😂😂😂 love listening to you.. not feeling well, you made me smile thank you
Feel better, love!! 💞

Thank you for showing how you pop them off
"ya'll know I can't sell shit" - Marla
even mentions a dip powder she likes and it sells out in hours.

@@MarlaKris I like them, they last quite a few times too!😊

Yeah the liquids are super strong IMO
I tried an orange dip that I thought would be good for Halloween 🎃 and it was very fluorescent like that yellow & it got everywhere!
Oh no!! That sounds like a mess!

What sort of peel base do you use pls.
I use UNT peel base! I’ll link it here for you 💙

Can you dip over acrylic? I have a dip you recommended previously that I love, but I just did an acrylic overlay on my nails😬
You sure can!!
@@MarlaKris good to know, thank you!!
What is a good inexpensive dipping system you can recommend?

I love doing nails but unfortunately I'm still a nail biter. Any advice or routine tips to grow nails out naturally?

Amazon says the fast drying powder doesn't require an activator???
Apparently they don’t require activator to harden the dip for filing.. but you do need the activator for he dip top. So complicated 🙄
Why didn’t you pour the powder over? Don’t you usually? Thank you for teaching me about using gel liquids with dip powder! Game changer!
You could definitely pour over. I usually do that when I use gel liquids
Your videos are awesome! Have you tried the Vitamin Dip kit??
I have! The liquids are great.. wasn’t a huge fan of the powders tho
@@MarlaKris did you make a video using them??? I was thinking of getting the liquids but I’m hesitant about it.
